What an amazing time my family & I had at this wonderful Cabin Home. We were blessed to stay here for 6 nights & 7 days during Christmas, & it couldn't have been more perfect for us. There was just going to be my husband & I, my oldest daughter & her husband, & my youngest daughter & her boyfriend for the holiday. My in-laws on their way to see other family member's for Christmas wanted to stop by for a night to see everyone & drop off their gifts. Lol! They ended up staying with us for 3 nights. They just didn't want to leave. :) There was only one night that we had everyone there, due to my oldest & her husband not being able to get there till Christmas Eve, but there was plenty of room for all. The main house just has the 1 bedroom and one full size bathroom w/ a claw tub. But, if needed there are two single twin size couches by the windows in the living room for someone to sleep on as well. Perfect for anyone 7 years old & up. There is a large dinning room table just off a very cute kitchen that was large enough for us all for meals & games. The decor of the cabin is warm, & inviting with a good mix of antiques and new. It is beautifully done and has honored the era that the cabin was built. I am in love with the Fireplace! It is grand & wonderful, & many good talks, much laughter, & family photo's were taken in front of it. You have the Lake in every view in the Living room. What a great way to wake up in the morning & see such a beautiful sight. -- The guest house is connected by an in-closed breezeway. This gives you 2 separate area's for living which is awesome for people who go to bed early or stay up late. I can picture coming back some day when we have Grand kids that are new born babies or are ages 5 & up, because this would be perfect! The guest house is it's own living area with 1 large bedroom down stairs and 2 small ones upstairs. It has 2 bathrooms, a small kitchen, & a laundry room. --- We loved this place! We treated it as if it was our own home. The Hot Tub was perfect for 6 adult's, & the courtyard was great for our little dogs. --- Leeland is the caretaker of the cabin, & he was AWESOME! --- The owner was a delight to talk to, & answered all my questions in a timely manner. She had the place decorated for us for Christmas, & it was perfect!. This cabin will forever hold fond memories for our family. It was perfect for us, & on Christmas Eve my youngest became engaged! Wooo Hooo! --- It was a very Blessed Time!Recommended for: Girls getaway, adventure seekers, romantic getaway, families with teenagers, pet owners, families with young children.

Our family had an amazing stay in this beautiful property on the lake. This home is warm and cozy with plenty of room for the 10 of us! The views from the house and dock are stunning, This home is full of charm and feels like a home away from home. It is well stocked and there is everything you need at your finger tips. We can't wait to get back, it is like a live post card picture! This was a wonderful place. Our family of 13 had such a great time. We were able to have three families here and it was so spread out that everyone was comfortable. Plenty of things to do the highlight for all my kids and grandkids was kayaking, playing at the beach and our hikes around the lake. Easy access to Lake Arrowhood Village. The houses were well equipped. We brought home such wonderful pictures and memories. Thank you!Recommended for: Girls getaway, sightseeing, romantic getaway, families with teenagers, tourists without a car, families with young children.

My family had a wonderful time in Lake Arrowhead, thanks in in large part to the accomodations. There was more than enough space and the interior conditions and decor was very charming, full of character and comfortable. I was a lilttlle uncertain at first, given the configuration of main house/guest house but it worked out perfectly for us where we had two familys (2 kids each). It really functioned as one home. The house felt genuinely felt like it was built with care and detail. We spent most of our time, enjoying the dock (kakay, swimming etc), which is right down the stone steps, and then running back up with the kids to the spa to warm up. There is a wonderful view of the lake that takes you away whether with morning coffee, during the day or with a cocktail at sunset.Recommended for: Pet owners, families with young children.

The only reason I hesitate writing a stellar review for this magical place is because I want it to be available for our next visit! We stayed here for about 2 weeks, and enjoyed every minute. If you are looking to unplug from everyday life and enjoy beautiful sunsets & an overall relaxing environment, look no further. This place is charming, functional and convenient. The house is remarkably clean and comfortable - some areas have been nicely updated, while others are more "original" in appointments but well-maintained & very clean. The kitchen, while not huge, is big enough, well-equiped with everything you need to cook. There is a cozy bedroom with a queen-sized bed near a pretty remodeled bathroom (slate & travertine tile, claw foot tub/shower, etc.) on one side of the house, and a total of 2 other bathrooms/4 sleeping areas - some upstairs and some downstairs - in addition to a cute 2nd kitchen (vintage stove, kitschy decor) on the other side of the house, which was nice for our family of 4 and visiting aunt & grandmother passing through. Up a slender staircase are 2 bedrooms and a full bathroom that are perfectly suited for teenagers or anyone wanting lots of privacy. We didn't rent or see the detached studio. There is a nice breeze throughout the house, and screened windows to allow for breezy, comfortable evenings. Fans were provided, but we never needed to use them. The views from the balconies and patio were incredible all day (except when it's completely dark out, of course). The front stone patio, where the jacuzzi is, has fruit trees, adding even more charm to an already charming place. We never used the jacuzzi because we couldn't pull ourselves away from swimming in the lake, but it seems well-maintained. The shady dock has a 2-person kayak among other fun lake things that are kept in or near a storage bin. This part of the lake is calmer than some other bays, the neighbors are nice, and the house manager is helpful & nice. It's about a 10 minute drive to the village, but there is a convenience store and gas station less than 2 minutes from the house. We rarely turned on a TV (and we love our bad TV shows!), but they're there if you want them. If you want to stay connected to the outside world, it's easy, especially if you bring laptops, iPads, etc., with you, but odds are you'll be too busy watching the sun rise or set, walking a trail or swimming to even care about anything else.Recommended for: Girls getaway, adventure seekers, romantic getaway, families with teenagers, pet owners, families with young children, age 55+.

This is a wonderful home with a great many amenities that make for a very pleasant stay. The views of the Lake are fantastic and the home has a warm and cozy feeling in fall and winter which I am sure turns to a fantastic open and airy ambiance in warmer months. The kitchen, while not enormous, is incredibly well supplied with quality dishes, pots, pans and ancillary items, nothing was found wanting. The fireplace is classic and wonderful, aided by a gas jet. Plenty of room including the 'guest house' which is really part of the compound. Great for dogs as there is a fully fence enclosed outdoor area for safety. Did not get to use the lake or spa due to weather but I am sure that they are up to the overall level of the experience..Recommended for: Romantic getaway, families with teenagers, pet owners, families with young children, age 55+.
