This is a VERY unique property with Mona Lake bordering the front and back. Excellent fishing from the front dock! It is the 2nd house from the end of a peninsula on a private drive. Deep water access and dock in a smaller protected bay in front and shallow water access from the breezier open water in back. The amount of actual beach available depends on the level of the lake at any given time, anywhere from 1' to 5'. It is a short boat ride to Lake Michigan through a boat channel. A full deck lines the back of the house.

Main floor living room has a large picture window overlooking the lake to the east for beautiful sunrises with your morning coffee.
Two 11' x11' bedrooms on the main level. One w/ queen & one w/ trundle bed which can be 1 twin, 2 twins or one double bed
Two bedrooms on the upper level, one 11' x 10' with trundle bed which can be 1 twin, 2 twins or one double bed and one 17' x 13' which sleeps up to 4 with 1 queen and 2 twins.
Amenities
Full back Deck, Floating dock with 2 personal water craft ramps in front with deep water capacity for boats. Very quiet-2nd house from the end of a private drive. Lake Michigan access through Mona Lake Channel. Basement to hold all your beach and boat toys. The back of the house stays cool on hot days in the breeze and the front of the house is protected from the breeze on windier days.
The house is fully stocked with all kitchen supplies, and towels along with washer and dryer for your convenience. A canoe and pedal boat are furnished with the house for your enjoyment. Life jackets are provided.
Gas grill is provided for grilling and a portable fire pit for enjoying a nice campfire by the lake.
No RV's or campers are allowed on the property.
Activies and Attractions
Boating, fishing(some of the best Bass fishing in the region from the front dock), swimming. Hiking trails at PJ Hoffmaster State park. Silver Lake Sand Dunes, Lake Express Cross Lake Ferry to Milwaukee, WI. Close to Grand Haven, and West Michigan Adventureland. Summer Celebration. Within walking distance to a coffee shop and Yoga studio.

Beautful lake house and setting. Nice and comfortable home. We enjoyed the area beaches and Lake Michigan. We enjoyed the yard and fire pit. Nice neighbors too. Great fireworks for the 4th of July. Nice breeze on the lake. Too hot for good fishing, but nice for swimming, canoeing, and the peddle boat. Thanks for sharing your lovely lake home. Terry was great in answering all my questions.Recommended for: Sightseeing, adventure seekers, age 55+, families with teenagers.

We've stayed at several vacation rentals in western Michigan including the bluff house but this house is at the top of the list! The description of the house and neighborhood are very accurate and the house is excellent--in fact better than we expected. The house and the water were so perfect that once I arrived I didn't want or need to leave. The four bedrooms gave us enough room to spread out and the garage room was an added bonus and gave the kids a little break from the water. From the first day to the last we enjoyed the house and the water. If you want a vacation home on the water this is the place. The water out back is shallow enough for kids to play in for hours and at the same time perfect for us to get in and out of our kayaks & other toys. The lake in the front of the house has a dock with room for a boat and plenty of good fishing. Several bass were caught off the dock--one was 18" long. The deck and yard at the back of the house were big enough with plenty of seating for family to come and enjoy the property. Lake Michigan is an hour kayak ride away but we loved Mona Lake--the water was warm and the lake not too big for us to enjoy in kayaks, paddle boats, and motor boats. The italian restaurant near the coffee shop is a good place to get a meal, also providing gluten-free options. There are lots of stores nearby for anything you need. The owner was great at providing lots of details about the house and the neighborhood. Wow...... Thank you for sharing your home with us, we had a wonderful weekend ! The boys swam,boated(named your paddle boat Patty) fished , had a little fire, played catch and even got in a little flag football...What a small world we had our friends come out on monday and they knew your neighbors on the point.Did you find this review helpful? We loved the house, the yard from both sides of the lake. Everything is better than the website says it is. There is a lot of space in the house for the guests. A lot of yard, small beach with a sand. Marvelous place, peaceful and quiet. The view from the deck and from the living room are the best things of all.Recommended for: Girls getaway, families with young children, romantic getaway, age 55+, families with teenagers.
