This historic renovated farmhouse is one of the gems in Lenox. It is surrounded by 15 acres of lawns, gardens, and meadows, and is a short walk to Tanglewood, Kripalu and the Town of Lenox.
The main floor includes a double living room with Steinway grand piano, a library with TV and DVD, powder room, and large dining room with bay windows. The kitchen is new with soapstone counters, a butcher block center island, and windows looking to the meadows and woods in all directions. Appliances are either Bosch or Viking and the refrigerator has thru-door ice and filtered water. The kitchen includes a large family eating area and french doors to the side garden which has a view of Lenox Mountain and an outdoor eating and grill area. Adjacent to the kitchen is the laundry room with washer and dryer.
On the second floor there are five light and airy bedrooms, all recently renovated (1 with queen bed and new private bath, 1 with queen bed and youth bed, and 1 with a full bed and terrace, & 2 with single beds) and 2 new hall baths. On the third floor there is a bedroom with 2 twin sized beds. WiFi and central A/C throughout.
The house is a short walk to Tanglewood (the music can be sometimes heard on our porch) Logistically, Broadknolls sits 800' back from the road, affording quiet and privacy.
The farmhouse is ideal for families with children, with lots of room to run and explore. We have a badminton court, tetherball, a tree climbing rope, and croquet. The rental includes passes to the local lakefront beach with lifeguards and a changing room/toilet facility, and use of the owner's kayak and related equipment.
Also included in the rental are two Tanglewood Friends Passes which provide free Admission for many Tanglewood Music Center recital, chamber and Festival of Contemporary Music performances, discounts for the gift shop and advance registration and discount for talks and walks on the Tanglewood property.

We enjoyed our stay in your lovely home. It was perfect for our family reunion. We enjoyed a wonderful Mozart concert on Wednesday evening, ate at some delicious restaurants, had some family barbecues and had fun with our children. You have a perfect home for a family reunion. You were so right! Even 3 weeks are not enough! We loved 180! Not even a week of rain could dampen our spirits! We saw every play at Shakespeare, Berkshire Opera, Beethoven and concerts at Tanglewood, biking, hiking and being together. The best - your home and your heart are so open and warm. Thank you, Robin and Mark...we would love to return next year!

My family stayed at this house last Summer. It was perfect, great house, great location. We highly recommend it as long as it isn't for a week that we want to rent it.
