Casa Pequenomundo is situated in a tropical paradise in the hills above the charming village of Mismaloya Beach about 10 mins south of Puerto vallarta (movies filmed in Mismaloya include Nights of the iguana and the Predator).
It has breathtaking views of Los Arcos and Bandaras Bay and also views up the famous Mismaloya valley and the lush jungle covered mountains behind.
An atmosphere of quiet tranquility surrounds the villa in a blanket of peace and quiet, with no neighbors able to overlook you, you have complete privacy. The architect Cachi Perez has built the villa in tune with the surroundings and with a Mexican feel, with hand painted Mexican tiles and sinks in the bathrooms to palm leaf palapas for shade.

Pequenomundo has fans and screens throughout and is naturally ventilated by the cupela (dome) in the living area.
Relax in the large tropical garden on one of the 8 sunbeds to the sound of the rock waterfall cascading into the pool.
Sip a cocktail at the inside bar or under the thatched (Palapa) poolside Bar overlooking the bay, let our chef (optional) spoil you with fish and shrimp cooked on the BBQ and dine outside as the sun sets.
The next night make homemade pizza's of your design in the wood-burning brick pizza oven.
Of the 4 en-suite bedrooms upstairs 2 have balconies with tables and chairs, the master has a charming Mexican style bath tub and all have king size beds with fans overhead.
Originally with 5 en-suite king size bedrooms, the downstairs bedroom is now the media room with satelite TV, DVD and internet, with seating for 10 and double doors leading to the pool area.
If needed this can be changed back to a bedroom with 2 single beds and overhead fan (still en-suite) and the TV etc is moved into the large salon with a huge brick cupela overhead.

The pictures of the home do not do it justice! The views are amazing and the home was well appointed. It was very easy to book and communicate with owners via email to wire money, get directions etc. Angela met us at the Villa on our arrival day and had mad some fresh guacamole, quesadillas and salads to go along with a few cold drinks. Such an unexpected touch! She showed us around the home and gave us a local cell phone to use while staying at the villa. She also met us on our check out day to return the deposit which was also very convenient. The Villa is located about a 15-20 min drive from PV. We opted to have a car and were glad that we did for the convenience factor. This house would be perfect for 4 couples as it has 4 very nice sized bedrooms. It would also be great for a multi generational family as there is huge outdoor space with a grill and pool. Be sure to check out Tony's Hideaway restaurant in Mismaloya village. I would highly recommend this property and these owners and home to return with other friends/family some time.Recommended for: Families with teenagers, girls getaway, sightseeing, families with young children.

This house is absolutely amazing! Far beyond anything we expected. We had a group of 10 and the house never felt crowded. The large kitchen was excellent for prepairing meals, and the outdoor grill and pizza oven were also quite nice. Getting to Puerto Vallarta from Mismaloya (where the house actually located) was quite easy. A short walk down the hill brings you to the hotel where taxis are always waiting. Also the busses run frequently to Puerto Vallarta and southwest to Boca de Tomatlán. The only downside was the walk back up the hill, as some taxi drivers are reluctant to drive up as it is rather steep. A bit of negotiating though can usually get you a ride all the way up. I would highly recommend this house to any group of 5-12 people looking for an amazing time in Mexico. We will definitely be back. Thanks Nick and Angela!Owner response: A taxi can be ordered by phone to the taxi rank at the bottom of the hill. They usually charge an extra $2 to come to the door.

About the owner: Hi, we are Nick and Angela Vertue and we are the owners of Villa Pequenomundo. I first discovered Puerto Vallarta while captaining a yacht around the world and we fell in love with it immediately, since then Puerto Vallarta has been our base and home for 12 years. There are many reasons why I came to chose PV as my home. The scenery is breathtaking with luxuriant jungle covered mountains descending right down to the sandy beaches and Pacific Ocean. Puerto Vallarta is a modern Tourist resort with a American type infrastructure yet still retains its quaint Mexico feel with cobbled streets, taco stands and a wonderful Malecon (broardwalk).
Why the Owner Chose South Zone:
A Mexican town can be a very noisy place to live or vacation, so for us a the quiet village of Mismaloya beach just 10 mins south of PV was the obvious choise for the best of both worlds.
