Crepe Myrtle is a charming traditional home located on Mobile Bay that has been our family retreat for over 30 years.It's located 4.5 miles past the Grand Hotel. The approx. 3000 sq.ft fully air-conditioned and heated house includes a large glassed-in porch stretching across the front of the house offering waterfront views with spectacular sunsets. Sit on the outdoor front patio under the old Live Oak trees or take a stroll out on the pier to kayak, swim or crab off the deck. There are 100 feet on the bay with a large manicured front and back yard. Chose from multiple spots within the house for sitting or dining or just getting away from it all. Six tvs ( 4 flat screens) are scattered throughout. Cable tv, high speed Internet, wi-fi, and telephone available. The fully equipped kitchen includes 2 refrigerators, dishwasher, double ovens, disposal, and electric solid state cooktop, toaster oven, microwave, and many small appliances. The three bedrooms have 1 king, 2 queens, and 7 twins are located on the sleeping porch. The master bedroom has a seperate bathroom with tub and shower and granite counter tops. The guest bathroom has also been newly remodled with granite countertops and walk-in shower and is shared by the 2 guest bedrooms. We are very proud of our house and keep it immaculate shape. Unfortunately we are UNABLE TO HOST WEDDINGS, RECEPTIONS, OR OTHER LARGE PARTIES.

Everyone in our party of 11 (6 adults, 5 children) agreed that Crepe Myrtle was the perfect venue for our family stay over a wedding weekend. The children were particularly excited about the delightful sleeping porch with the seven beds in a row. There was plenty of indoor and outdoor space for our group to gather, dine, view sunset, just hang out or watch TV. We would recommend this spot to anyone looking for the perfect Eastern Shore getaway.Recommended for: Age 55+, girls getaway, families with young children.

Although we were there for only a short time I found it very relaxing and will certainly go back again. The owners were exceptionally accommodating to some last minute calendar changes I had to make and I greatly appreciate it. If you need some quality down time with family and friends this will be perfect place. Also the nearby town of Fairhope has a lot to offer so check it out.Recommended for: Age 55+, families with teenagers, girls getaway, romantic getaway, families with young children.

We selected this venue to conduct our sales meeting. The house was beautiful and very well maintained. We never left in the 4 days we were there. We cooked every meal in the well stocked kitchen. We spent most of our time on the glorious back porch and every evening watching the beautiful sunset over the bay. Wish we could have had more time to enjoy the pier over the bay. The owner was very responsive as we had a few simple questions during our stay. Would definitely recommend this and will consider coming back with family.Recommended for: Age 55+, girls getaway, romantic getaway.

I hosted a girls weekend in March for my sister before her upcoming wedding. We knew we wanted to head to the coast, but didn't want to get caught up in Spring Break festivities. So, we searched for something a little more low key and were excited to come upon Crepe Myrtle. The pictures don't do its charm justice! The home is very comfortable and beautifully decorated. It's located minutes from so many activities, but is still secluded enough to be peaceful. A quick drive takes you to downtown Fairhope for shopping, The Grand for cocktails and a breathtaking sunset, and even into Mobile for some nightlife. The outlets aren't far either. I would absolutely recommend Crepe Myrtle and I hope to be back with my family!Recommended for: Age 55+, girls getaway, romantic getaway, families with young children, sightseeing.

We spent the week between Christmas and New Year here at Crepe Myrtle and had a great family time together. The photos of the house do not do it justice, it is beautifully decorated, yet very comfortable and felt like home. It was fun to all get together in the kitchen and cook breakfast and watch holiday bowl games. There are fun and enjoyable things to do in the area (eating out, shopping, sightseeing) or just sit and watch sunsets and the movement of the water. I really, really hope we get to come back again.Recommended for: Age 55+, families with teenagers, girls getaway, adventure seekers, families with young children, sightseeing.

Our family, including younger kids, had a great time at Crepe Myrtle! I wouldn't consider staying anywhere else on the eastern shore for our next trip. It is very convenient to Gulf Shores beaches, Fairhope, but also still in a great location on Scenic 98 for a morning walk or a great afternoon sunset on the Bay. We can't wait to go back!Recommended for: Age 55+, families with teenagers, girls getaway, romantic getaway, families with young children, sightseeing.

Our family of 7 (3 adults and 4 children) recently had a fantastic long weekend in the lovely Crepe Myrtle. Everything was as promised and better. The home is so well cared for and loved that it is hard to believe that it is even available for rent. For that we thank you and your family from the bottom of our hearts.We fully reccomend this rental.The pier is exceptional and has railing and gates which was important to us with our 3 yr. old twins.Recommended for: Age 55+, families with teenagers, girls getaway, families with young children, sightseeing.

We just returned from a lovely stay at Crepe Myrtle. This was our first time, but it will definitely not be our last. The home was beautifully furnished. It was exactly as described in the listing. The outdoor area was so well maintained. We enjoyed the outdoor sitting area and the dock.. so much, in fact, that we decided to forego one of the great restaurants in Fairhope to eat out over the water on our last night there. Ann was very gracious in every way. The location worked out very well for us. We could be in Fairhope in about 12 minutes. There were also several wonderful restaurants between Crepe Myrtle and Fairhope. I think The Wash House was our favorite! The walking path in front of the property was great for exercising. I would highly recommend this home to anyone, and we have already done so to several people here in Tyler. We will definitely be back every year. This home and property are absolutely beautiful! It is quiet, beautifully furnished and landscaped. We got together for a family wedding in Fairhope. We sat out on the pier and enjoyed the sun and watched the pelicans dive for fish. This was much more enjoyable than staying in a hotel. I have already told my friends about this place and plan to come back again. I wish we could have stayed longer for this visit. I miss sitting on the patio underneath the Oak trees in the evenings and watching the sun set. It was a wonderful time and the house is not far from stores and the beautiful town of Fairhope. My family spent a wonderful Easter weekend at this lovely home on the bay. The house was one of the most comfortable homes we have stayed in - lovely amenities inside and outside. The home is beautifully furnished and was the perfect gathering place for our family to enjoy each other and the beautiful view of the water! The back porch is a place you will want to spend most of your time - it is open and bright, and you can begin your morning out there with a cup of coffee watching the dolphins in the water! Our family thoroughly enjoyed our visit and would love to come again! The family was lovely to work with - I would highly recommend this house to anyone who wants to relax and enjoy the beauty of Fairhope, Alabama on the bay. About the owner: Crepe Myrtle has been our family retreat for 33 years. We have spent our summers here raising 2 children to love the Eastern Shore life style and we are now sharing the experience with our 7 grandchildren. The house is perfect for that family reunion or for our Northern friends wanting to escape the winter's cold. There is nothing to compare to the warmth and charm of nearby Fairhope or a visit to the historic Grand Hotel, just 4.6 miles away, for dinner. Indulge in shopping at the nearby Foley Outlet stores, or just stretch your legs on the wide walking and biking path out your back door. Practice your swing at any of the many nearby Robert Trent Jones golf courses.
