This striking new contemporary has a huge, round, and flower-covered deck with a panoramic ocean view and sweeping vista of Casco Bay and mid-coast Maine. Bring your binoculars and telescope. From deck chairs and umbrella tables, you will watch lobstermen bringing in their catch in the cove and see ocean liners heading to Boston, Nova Scotia, and England. Cunard's QE2 sailed through Casco Bay recently on its first visit to Maine, and the view of the ship was spectacular from the wraparound deck of the Scott House.

Taking advantage of this incredible view, the living/dining great room and kitchen are on the upper floor, with a wall of windows and six sliding glass doors that lead to the one-thousand square foot exceptional wrap-around deck that includes a gas grill, entertainment seating, and dramatic lighting inside and out. Want to have a romantic evening? At night, you can light the deck and great room to suit your mood.

The great room kitchen has a large commercial sink and food preparation area, and every need for dishes, glassware, flatware, and cooking pans and utensils is met. Guests watching you prepare the feast can perch at an attached bar seating six or help out around the center island and gas cook top. The kitchen includes a five-gallon spring-water dispenser.

The great room cathedral ceiling is a dramatic 16-feet high with five ceiling fans to spread ocean breezes. Entertainment is enjoyed in a comfortable seating area with cable TV, VCR, piano, and dining table that seats 12 with ocean views. Downstairs, there is a full bath, two bedrooms, each with two queen-size beds, and a master suite with a king-size bed and private bath. The bedrooms have new beds and an attractive collection of antique Maine furniture continues an attractive nautical theme throughout the house.

Scott House also offers a quaint but very convenient fully equipped guest apartment just off the laundry room.  It has a full kitchen, bathroom, and enjoys 2 entrances, 1 through the laundry room, up the stairs into the main house or direct access to the outside and gardens.  It has a queen pull out sleeper / sofa, breakfast bar, small dining room table, and a TV with cable. Sleeps two.

The Scott House sleeps 12 and includes all linen and kitchen utensils.
