  Just a few words on our recent stay at a beautiful cottage on Upper Crooked Lake in Delton. What a nice place! Very clean, very roomy, 2 full bathrooms, everyhing you needed was there. The owners are some of the nicest people we've met. Renting from them was very easy. Since we were their first Canadian renters, they were nice enough to have a fantastic American Apple Pie waiting for us! The lake was beautiful, and the pontoon is a must if you are staying there. Thanks so much Cheryl and Rob for your hospitality. We will definitely be back! - Lee

• Relaxing week on the lake

  We had a wonderful week at this house on the lake. The home was clean and well cared for and the grounds were well tended as well. Renting the pontoon boat is a must, it was wonderful to drop anchor in the middle of the lake and jump off the boat and swim. Water was pretty clean, seaweed in some areas, which is to be expected. Even though it's advertised as 3 bedrooms, I would really consider it a 2 bedroom home since the 3rd bedroom is attached to the master and doesn't have windows. It worked out fine for us, since my oldest slept downstairs in the family room (which has its own bathroom).

  We could not have asked for a better experience than this rental property. When we arrived we could not believe the size and condition of the home. This is not a lake "cottage", it is a large house with everything that you will need. The owners have taken great care and pride in making sure the renters have a very nice and clean home with all the amenities you could possibly need for your stay. The rooms are spacious and very clean. The large yard in front of the lake (back of the home away from the road) was a great play area for our two children (4 and 9). The small bedroom off of the main bedroom was great for our young daughter who had doubts about sleeping in someone else's home for a week. We were able to bring our small boat and dock it behind the house. We also left our kayak in the yard for the week. The kids enjoyed being able to wake up, go down to the lake, and jump right in. There is a beautiful swimming area right behind the house as the water was only about two feet deep with a nice sandy bottom. We fished right of the dock every single day and were able to catach some nice fish (pan fish, northern pike, and largemouth bass). We enjoyed the fire pit every single night! The owners had plenty of wood on hand for sale, so there was no need to run in to town and get overcharged. They also have pontoon boats that are available for rental, just ask. The owners are the nicest people you will ever meet and are willing to go to any length to make sure you are comfortable and have verything you could ever need during your stay. You will not find a nicer home, nicer neighbors, or nicer owners than this. If you are going to be in the area for any reason, I would recommend this over any hotel hands down. You cannot beat the price of this deal. Book it now before everyone else discovers it or they realize they can charge more money than they are. I just cannot say enough good things about this rental property or the owners. On the day we were leaving, I booked another family stay for next year!
