  Hues was in good shape, good location, felt very safe. Not really in walking distance to much though, other than a convenience store and a couple restaurants that are beach front. The property manager was helpful, and arranged a chef to cook one night which I highly recommend. Know that the beach is almost non-existant, and on the weekends becomes overrun with locals. Pool is practically yours Aline, nobody else seems to use it. Overall 5 stars!

  We had a very pleasant stay at Casa Gaviotas. There were 7 of us that stayed and it accommodated us well. The only issues were with hot/cold showers as the on demand water heater works but with some limitations. The Hot water in the master bath is setup backwards with hot being to the right so be forewarned or you may find yourselves with a cold shower. Everything else worked just fine and we were treated very fairly and respectfully. We would stay there again.

  3 friends of mine and I stayed at this very comfortable villa for a 6 day fishing trip. The place is well kept, its location is idea.....it is quiet even though it is in the heart of the Hotel district. Ernie is the property manager and is very friendly and helpful. We already had fishing plans, but Ernie was there to answer any questions and gave us some good advice. The pool is a nice touch after a long day out on the water, you can jump in the pool to cool off. There is no airconditioning in the main living room, but we didn't feel like we really needed A/C.....we just opened the sliding glass doors and enjoyed the view. The bedrooms do have good air conditioning systems.....overall the bottom line is..........I hope to be back and stay here at Casa Gaviotas very soon.

  Recommended for: Age 55+, families with teenagers, girls getaway, adventure seekers, romantic getaway, families with young children, sightseeing, tourists without a car.

  Beautiful beach front property very well maintained and fully equipped, amazing location in the quiet part of the hotel zone, walking distance to the pier to take the ferry to Isla Mujeres or to the bus stop. The pool is wonderful and very convenient because we could be at the terrace or the living room while the young members swim or sun bath and still be watching them. The view every morning from the up stair rooms is incredible. We request a a crib for our baby to sleep with us in the main room and it was there when we make the check in. The house has a wood gate in the stairs that goes to the basement and also an aluminum gate on the stairs that goes to the pool. Having internet (WiFi) on the house was fantastic and also the tv cable has a huge selection of USA channels. The airport transportation that they suggest made the trip very easy. We had a wonderful stay and planning to go back next year.

  Awesome location and beachfront property, right in the middle of hotel zone, next to the pier and ferry to Isla Mujeres, with a great pool. BUT there were definitely issues and inconveniences with the house, which made our stay not so pleasant. The water didn't work the first night, wi-fi didn't work, the phone didn't work, the dishwasher didn't work, the main floor bedroom shower didn't work, and the blender was missing. If you stay here, make sure you double check everything on the 9 page itemized list and get a copy of the contract, so you won't lose your deposit.

We are very sorry you had inconveniences at Casa Gaviotas, as you may know Telephone and Internet services in Cancun are only provided by Telmex, after several complaints they have just redone all the installation in our block and Internet and Phone are now working with out any problems. Prior your arrival the dishwasher was tested and working fine, It just stopped working during your stay, this things happen, It is already fixed and working well. The blender was misplaced in another cabinet by the maid. We Hope to have the opportunity to have you back soon with our guarantee of a great and pleasant stay.

  Just returned from our stay in Cancun. Casa Gaviotas is large property right in front of the beach and in an excellent location, quiet but close enough to all the great eating and shopping establishments in the hotel zone. There were 7 of us staying in the house which was large enough for all. I would have rated this property excellent if it wasn't for a couple issues with Internet outages and propane tanks going empty. We are small business owners and as much as we wanted off our computers during vacation, we needed to communicate with staff daily before starting our day. The house is in walking distance to the ferry going to Isla Murrejes (fun times exploring in golf carts). Jeep rentals in Cozumel, Zip lines at Xplor, snorkeling off Puerto Morales and a great dinner at Perrico's in downtown Cancun. Casa Gaviotas also can recommend individuals to come to the house and cook authentic breakfast, lunch or dinners. We took advantage of one breakfast and one dinner which was great tasting and around $80-$90 after tip for a meal that was plenty for seven. Cancun is truly a great, safe place to travel with plenty of things to do. My wife and I have traveled to there many times and will be returning soon.

  J'ai adoré mon séjour cette belle maison familiale. Non seulement elle est accueillante, spacieuse, propre et ensoleillée, mais elle est située tout juste entre les quartiers résidentiels et la zone hôtelière de Cancun. Nous n'avons pas eu besoin de louer de voiture car le bus de ville dessert parfaitement cette zone, d'où les principaux attraits touristiques sont parfaitement accessibles. La piscine était parfaite pour faire de la baignade ou des longueurs. Ce qui a été très apprécié également: l'amabilité des propriétaires avec qui l'on a fait affaire. Somme toute, après de nombreux séjours à Cancun, cette demeure est celle que je recommande en premier.

  We had a wonderful stay at Casa Gaviotas. I had been to Cancun several times in the past, once in a house but usually staying in various excellent hotels. This was an altogether different, and much better, experience. The location is convenient to both the hotel district and its amenities, and downtown, with its shops, markets and restaurants (don't miss La Habichuela). A very short walk from the house and just outside the security gate there is a convenience store which we found very convenient indeed. The house is beautiful, spacious, spotless and well-kept, and equipped with the all modern amenities one would expect. The real treat is the view of the Caribbean through the wall-to-wall doors and windows both upstairs and on the main floor. Upstairs there is a balcony facing the sea and the main floor opens onto a spacious terrace also overlooking the garden, the pool and, a few steps down and through the gate, a small beach. Across the bay you see Isla Mujeres in the distance. A large coral rock formation beside the beach extends into the sea and snorkelling over it we saw fish and sea-life I didn't expect to find right in front of the house. What more can I say? Yes, I highly recommend it and, especially right now as I look at the snow in my garden, I would go back to Gaviotas tomorrow if I could. I will certainly stay there again if I can.

  Amazing place, beautifully decorated and very spacious in the middle of Cancun. Quiet and peaceful but just steps away from the bus to downtown and clubs.I LOVED THE BEACH, it has lots of privacy so the kids can go by themselves (the sea is very calm here), great snorkelling right in front of the house and just a stroll in the beach takes you to Playa Tortugas just to hang out, eat and drink while still in the beach. The house is spacious and having an open concept kitchen, living and dinning makes it ideal for groups or families. Much more than what we expected.

  Recommended for: Pet owners, families with teenagers, romantic getaway, families with young children, tourists without a car.
