  This was a wonderful place to spend a relaxing long weekend on the beach with my extended family. The condo was super clean when we arrived, and very tastefully decorated (it looks like the pictures), with a beautiful master suite. The view from the patio, across the marsh and to the beach was just gorgeous at sunset, and there were no mosquitos so we could eat meals outside. The kitchen was stocked with enough essentials to cook simple meals (including a dishwasher), and the beds were pretty comfortable. I especially liked that there were a lot of pillows! We remembered to bring coffee, but forgot to take sugar, but fortunately someone had left a few packs of sweetener in the kitchen for us. The staff at the resort was very helpful and friendly. The on site restaurant offers seafood and Mexican food, including local fish and shrimp. The dishes were well prepared and reasonably priced, and the margaritas and pina coladas were delicious! This is a real plus if you arrive late in the afternoon and don't feel like driving into Puerto Penasco for dinner. The pool was beautiful, but unfortunately it was too cool for swimming while we were there. Still, the beach was sandy and clean and there were hardly any other people there. We enjoyed collecting shells, walking way out on the flats at low tide, and great bird watching. Laguna shores resort is about 15 minutes from the town of Puerto Penasco, which is a plus for the peace and quiet, but it is a bit of a schlep if need to run into town to buy food or anything else. Overall, I am quite happy that we decided to stay here, rather than at somewhere closer to town, because the sandy beach was so beautiful and so peaceful. I would highly recommend this condo -- in fact, I have already recommended it to several friends, including those with young children.

• Weekend Getaway!!

  This was our first time down to Rocky Point Mexico, and had a blast! The condo was very accommodating for our whole family + grandparents. The kids enjoyed collecting the shells from the sandy beach. During our stay, it was as if we had the entire place to ourselves. I would highly recommend staying here if you are looking for a relaxing, safe, hassle free place. Our kids were able to run around and have fun without any worries. Than you Jan for letting us stay in your condo.. We will definitely like to return.

  My family and I recently stayed at the Beachfront condo and it was a great experience. I would highly recommend it to families. Jan was a wonderful help and answered any and all questions we had. We were able to Kayak, seek clams, shells, go bike riding, and swimming at our leisure. There is 24 hour security and it is away from all the vendors and crowded beaches. We pretty much had the beach to ourselves. It was an awesome experience for my whole family and we can't wait to go again.

  Recommended for: Families with teenagers, romantic getaway, families with young children, girls getaway.

  Jan, thanks for the hospitality, the condo is very comfortable and large, were my family and my wife's family, all perfect, no beach vendors so you get to the condo with your food, drinks, and cleaning items needed and not have to leave again, stayed for 7 nights went very fast, much rest, no stress, the kids enjoyed the beach and the pool to the maximum without people, they played and we rested in the beds, the staff very friendly, all very friendly, at low tide there are miles of beach to walk and look for clams to eat in 20 minutes together a cooler of clams, Jan is a person who does everything to facilitate your reservation, to check in no problems in the gatehouse were aware of our arrival we were given keys immediately and had access to the condo, one day we went to "nice beach" to walk in and rent a motosky banana and do some shopping on the waterfront. Jan thanks certainly return and highly recommend it for a relaxing holiday

  This condo is a very nice and big place. It looks just like the photos. This property is advertised to have some amenities and accommodations and unfortunately the condo did not have some of the items described on the description. We did not have any hand soap, dish soap, laundry detergent, or paper towels as stated in the description. If you decide to stay here, take these items with you to avoid an inconvenience of having to look for a place to purchase the items around town. Laguna Shores is about 20 minutes away from the nearest town and taking these items with you will save you some time. During the time we were there, there was a lot of mosquitos so take some OFF! This place is great if you are looking for a quite home like type of vacation where you are somewhat secluded from the rest of the town. The pool is awesome and very clean. In the pictures it looks like there is a bar in the pool...there actually is a bar, but there is no one there to service it. We were there 4 nights and not one of the nights was there a bartender. If you are looking for a resort like vacation with drinks, food, jet skis, etc...I suggest staying at one of the resorts closer to Sandy Beach. We had to drive to town to buy drinks so that we can have them by the pool. There is a small restaurant by the pool but again, it is not close enought were you can just swim and ask for a drink. The staff at Laguna Beach is very friendly, the maintenance man was quick and took care of some of our issues immediately, and the condo is gorgeous. Jan was a pleasure to deal with and made the reservations quick and easy. The water on the beach is only there for a few hours during the high tide timeframes so you will have to make sure to schedule your other activities around that if you want to enjoy the water at the beach. The water is clean and just the right depth for kids to play in. Overall, we had a great time at Laguna Shores!

I will not try to make excuses for this, but I will make sure things are as they are listed in the website. I do wish, however, that you would have asked Ernesto to bring your food and drinks to the pool area. He is very willing and happy to do that and he does serve a pretty GREAT Margarita as well as a really smooth Pina Colada. His ice cold Coronas are pretty good too! The small but efficient restaurant is more than happy to serve appetizers and lunch at the pool. I do agree with you though, that if one is looking for a wild and crazy weekend, then Serenity is not where you would want to be. If you are looking for a laid back, vendor free, hassle free time on the beach, where all you have to do is apply more lotion and tan, then Serenity is just the thing. I do want to thank you for your kind comments on the ease of making your reservations. I do try to make it as ease as possible for all!   I loved Janets Condo! It is so homey and relaxing. I visited with my family and we all had a wounderful time. The condo is exactly as it is pictured in the photos.This place is not over crowded so you can actually be in the swimming pool or in the ocean and just relax without any worries. All the staff there are really amazing. They are very helpful with any questions you might have. I loved how they had security in the front gate at all times. It made me feel at peace especially it being my first time in Puerto Penasco.

  My boyfriend and I- along with 3 other guest-stayed at Serenity for my Birthday weekend and what a fantastic trip it was! We have been going to Rocky Point for years- staying in Las Conchas or Sandy Beach- and wanted to something new and this condo at Laguna Shores was nothing short of perfect:) The condo was a spotless, stunning, perfectly appointed place of tranquility with tons of space and the ideal layout. We enjoyed cooking in the fantastic kitchen, relaxing on the patio and a peaceful nights sleep, but I think my favorite aspect of the condo (an end unit) was the privacy. The property and its beach is private-no vendors or large groups of party people- just the negative edge pool (with loungers built-in & a small cafe nearby), right on the beach that stretches for as far as the eye can see, without a soul in sight. The changing tide is drastic and fascinating and makes shell collecting a blast. While it may seem remote, it was a short 15mins. to town so we could shop or go fishing without losing the whole day. Of all the trips we've made to Rocky Point, this was our best & favorite...Jans' place was exactly what I wanted-quite, relaxing, spa-like and yet close to whatever we needed. If your are looking for a quite,restful and stunning place to spend your time in Rocky Point, I would highly recommend you stay at Serenity....it was everything I was looking for and more.
