The city falls away, you relax, you forget your job... our 92 acre Selkirk Lake does that. Fishing off your own dock brings forth bass, blue gill, perch. We have a paddle boat, and leaky rowboat, but you can bring your own boat and put it in at the public landing. Swim out to the raft if you like. Quiet, no wake hours from 7PM to 11AM. Sandy beach for children and grandchildren-some sand toys provided. No pets, thank you.
Enjoy campfires at your fire pit. A clothesline to dry wet towels nature's way. Frogs, minnows, woodland and water mammals - our great blue heron pair and sometimes a swan.
Plenty of trees make this an unusually beautiful little inland lake. The cottage faces West and sunset each evening is an event. Gun Lake is about six miles away where you can rent a pontoon, take a sunset boat ride, find funky restaurants and ice cream stands. Yankee Springs recreation area near Gun Lake offers walking trails and other nature activities.

Grass, beach, and water, mature trees, quiet mornings and evenings, fish, frogs, turtles, woodpeckers, finches, an occasional blue bird, a crackling fire in the firepit, and real fire flies that light up after dusk. A roof overhead, running water, indoor plumbing, refrigerator, and stove. Idyllic, step back to a simpler time. You'll be glad you did!
