Salle's Lake of the Isles space was ideal for our family of 4-incredibly clean, spacious, air-conditioned,with a kitchen table perfect for card playing and breakfast. The space accurately reflects the photos and description. It's a great neighborhood with beautiful homes and gardens, near the lakes for biking (Best Ride bike share kiosk is one block away) and walking, convenient to the Walker Art Center, downtown, and the Uptown area. We had an excellent stay and highly recommend Salle's place.Recommended for: Families with teenagers, sightseeing, age 55+.

We are from Des Moines and decided to spend Memorial Day Weekend in Minneapolis. We includes, 2 adults and 3 children. We arrived late on Friday night and were greeted by Salle. She is a very sweet and courteous lady. She helped us getting all the beds ready and showed us what we needed. The next day we went to the Mall of America and had a great time. Upon arrival back at the loft, the girls went into the backyard and played on the trampoline and swing, while we made dinner. The loft is very spacious and well lite, at the same time it is somewhat cosy. The furniture range from older to modern and give it a certain atmosphere. On Sunday we went to the MN zoo and Salle gave us directions as my GPS would not bring it up. We got there safely and had a great day watching and learning about the different animals, Again, when we returned to the loft, the girls went outside and played on the trampoline and swing, while we made dinner. All in all it was a great weekend. After dinner on Sunday, I took a walk around the neighborhood and along the Lake. It was a beautiful evening and I enjoyed sitting by the lake and watching people fish, cayak, run, bike and simply enjoy themselves. The neiborhood is older and there are beautiful homes with gorgeous gardens. Everybody takes excellent care of their property. It is a great place to spend a few days away. We would definately return to the Garden Loft and can highly recommend it.Recommended for: Families with teenagers, sightseeing, pet owners, romantic getaway, age 55+, families with young children, girls getaway, adventure seekers.

This is a perfectly appointed space for singles, couples or families; the space is larger than appears in the photos. Recently tastefully decorated, Salle hasn't left a thing out- while there isn't a full kitchen, one isn't needed since all necessaries are provided for you. Fridge, food-service quality heating plates, microwave, coffee maker, toaster oven for pizza & other broiling, etc, etc, it's all there. I stayed alone and always street parking available and easy walk to lakes, shopping, coffee, & plenty of restaurants. Especially nice to be on the low level as temperatures were high outside, but there is a/c. Lovely little family, fenced-in yard. Gorgeous home and gracious host, quiet and convenient location. Pet friendly!!Recommended for: Sightseeing, pet owners, romantic getaway, age 55+, families with young children, girls getaway, tourists without a car, adventure seekers.

My husband,my dog (a black labrador), and I spent a month all living comfortably in the garden loft. Our home is in a rural area; we were in Minneapolis to enjoy the city life and all it has to offer. The garden loft was clean and attractive; the bed was cozy, the lighting was great, the kitchen well appointed, the tub big and deep. There was a whole wall of closets space providing plenty of room for clothes, suitcases, coolers, etc. The backyard is fenced and Jackie, our dog, enjoyed sitting by the gate and watching people and dogs pass by or lying on the deck in the sun. Sallie and her children and pets are a delight. Sallie was generous in her efforts to make our stay a good one. And on top of all this, the location is one of the best in Minneapolis with miles of trails around lakes and a vibrant, diverse, and safe urban community all within a couple of minutes walk. If we have another opportunity to spend time in Minneapolis with our dog, we would love to go back to Salli's garden loft.Owner response: Mary, You both were such a pleasure to host. I would love to have you back anytime. I am so happy that you felt at home and enjoyed your stay. Salle

I was in Minneapolis for work for almost two weeks and really lucked out when I found this place! The apartment is beautiful, modern and felt like home. The neighborhood is amazing--close to great restaurants, shops, and beautiful Lake Calhoun. And I can't say enough about Salle--she was genuine, helpful (she gave me a list of some great places to eat) and super accommodating. She even lent me her bicycle to ride around the lakes! I can't wait to stay here again the next time I'm in Minneapolis. Thanks Salle!Recommended for: Sightseeing, pet owners, romantic getaway, tourists without a car, adventure seekers.
Owner response: It was wonderful to meet you and chat. I am looking forward to your next stay. The bike will be waiting.

My fiance and I planned a trip to the Twin Cities so that we could get a better feel of the area before deciding to move to Minneapolis next Fall. We chose VRBO in hopes that it would give us a better idea of what neighborhood life would be like. Little did we know the place we would stay at would be better than any 5 star hotel option in the cities. Salle was extremely welcoming and made us feel at home right away. The space itself is beyond beautiful. With its elegantly curved stone wall and brand new furniture, we felt like we were staying in a high-rise loft apartment. We were able to purchase groceries and save a lot of money by using the provided fridge and kitchen area. Uptown Minneapolis and various restaurants and shops were literally a 2 minute walk down the street. Salle let us keep our bikes in her garage and we took them out every morning for a beautiful ride around Lake Calhoun which was one block away. If you are looking for the real Minneapolis experience, you need to stay here. No where else in the city could top the experience we had in this Uptown Garden Loft.Recommended for: Sightseeing, families with young children, tourists without a car, adventure seekers.
