  I have personally coordinated over 800 weddings & events in 15 years in California, so when it was my turn to get married, I had all the hook ups and connections down. Except for 1. Vacation Rental for this area. We looked at several Vacation Rentals in the area, and our original plan was to get 2 or 3 Houses as none could accommodate the number of family and bridal party we wanted it to. An impersonal hotel was out of the question. We hadn't seen our family in a really long time and wanted them all under 1 roof it all possible. We were in town from Los Angeles looking at wedding venues with another client of ours and stumbled upon Gina here on vrbo. The capacity got our attention. Gina's warmth and personality got us into a tour of the house. The VHS collection & hotel quality of the rooms sealed the deal. We are children of the 80's and my favorite personal touch was the VHS collection. I know, it's wacky.. But so are we! My Brother and Dad all grew up watching VHS, and we were all there together watching them again the night before our wedding day. We watched Dick Tracy! It was rad. The pictures do NOT do this home justice. It is much more upscale and fancy in an antique and cozy way than I can express in this review. The beds were so comfortable. The linens so fresh and clean. The garden, was picturesque. We had a blast. Not only did our family have an amazing time but Gina was like family instantly and came to our wedding to end up being the best dancer of the night. I have never seen my Father in law dance like that! Gina, thank you for everything. You helped make our wedding weekend perfect. Can't wait to show you pictures when they come out. Potential Abella Renters: You owe it to yourself and your family to consider Abella heavily if you are looking for a romantic getaway OR a family gathering of any kind. It was the perfect backdrop for our family and wedding weekend and as a planner I think I know a little bit about value at a wedding. I specialize in Budget Weddings and this is a great value. If I hadn't already booked my wedding venue, I would have booked my wedding there. Abella is perfect for a Tea Party Garden Wedding, butterflies and all.   The Inn was perfect for our intimate garden wedding. We rented the entire inn for our guests during the wedding weekend and loved the beautiful, unique and private rooms. Our guests were gushing about the decor; the inn was a gorgeous backdrop for our vintage-themed wedding. We will cherish the amazing photos we were able to take in this outstanding space for many years to come. All of the spaces are well-kept and very comfortable. The gardens and common areas were fantastic for all of our wedding weekend events, from the ceremony and reception, to the welcome dinner in the formal dining room, to playing board games in the den. We could not have found a better fit for our event. Gina, the owner, was welcoming and warm and made the whole experience enjoyable. She keeps her place immaculate and treats her guests like family. We would most definitely stay at the inn again and highly recommend this vacation rental!

  Finding this place was like finding a needle in a haystack. Our family has been gathering for family reunions for over 30 years. Since our family is growing rapidly it is increasingly harder and harder to find a place that fits all of us. We usually have to rent 3 houses which is never easy to find close together. This is the first time we have been able to stay in one house all together with the luxury of having a suite (including full bathrooms) for each family. We cook breakfast and dinner every night of the reunion, and this is also the first time we have all been able to eat together in the large dining room. The kitchen has 3 large refrigeraters so that also made things easier. There is also a great BBQ. The kids (we had 9 ranging from newborn to age 5) were able to play on the grass enclosed by steps and a gazebo. The rooms were upstairs so it made it easy to put the kids down for naps throughout the day with monitors. The laundry room has 2 washers and 4 dryers in a seperate laundry area. While we were here we went to the beach, wine tasting, bike riding, farmers markets, antique shopping, aquarium, etc. It was an amazing reunion and I would recommend it to anyone looking for a large group vacation. We stayed for a week and still didn't have time to do everything we wanted. Gina, the owner, is extremely accomadating and will work with you on unique circumstances. For example, my cousin with special needs was provided a twin bed in her parents room to make it easier for her to feel comfortable. My family has had some very bad experiences through the years of finding places online that don't meet your expectations, or poor locations, or that claim to sleep 25+ but come to find out thats with airmattresses and futons...the Abella Garden Inn is everything it claims to be and more! I am still getting compliments from my family that it is the best place we have ever stayed that accomadates all of our needs. Because I was born in Italy and grew up with all my aunts, uncles, and cousins around me, I know how important it is to stay close with our families. It is difficult to have a family reunion when you have to be separated into 3 homes and can not eat at one table. The Inn is ideal for large groups and, because you were all together, I can see that you got to discover each other all over again. It is easy to lose connection with people in our hectic world, and the Inn, with little technological junk to interfere with relationships, is an ideal location for people to find each other again. Knowing that families are reconnecting again in this one large mansion is very heartwarming to me. In my humble opinion, all we have in this life is FAMILY, and I am thrilled to know that in some small way, I am contributing to families getting close again.   We searched for months to find a suitable location to accommodate our family (ages 4 through 90) in celebration of milestone birthdays, anniversaries, etc. The search initially was done on the internet and several locations in the Paso Robles area appeared to fit the bill. However, we decided to visit the prosepective homes and we were absolutely horrified. Though we love the VRBO website, they apparently have little control over the misrepresentation of properties. What we found were that several of the properties were "staged." They turned out to be either flop houses in very poor condition or in very remote, poorly accessible locations. UNTIL we came upon this gem. Abella's Inn is everything as pictured. As a matter of fact, the pictures do not really do it justice. Each bedroom was amazing and the guests all had their own private bathrooms. It is in a great location if you want the beach, wine country, or just sight seeing experience. We enjoyed all of them but were able to congregate every night as a group in the beautiful living and dining rooms. There is a kitchen fully stocked with dishes, cooking materials if needed. However, you are also walking distance the the quaint downtown area of Arroyo Grande and some great restaurants. Would we recommend this to friends and family...ABSOLUTELY.

  We struggled with just how and when to get married. We wanted something small and intimate for family and close friends, we were so furtunate to find the Beautiful Abella Inn. It was a prefect wedding venue, the gardens are lovely and the inn is just amazing. All rooms are exquisitely decorated in a very comfortable way. All the pictures from getting ready to the floral gardens were unbelievable, because every shot the backgrounds were beautiful. There was something so special to all waking up together and preparing for the big day. We prepared all of own food for the reception dinner and the kitchen was stocked with everything we would needed. The dining room is so lovely and was perfect to sit all of our guests. Gina was wonderful to work with, she was kind, patient and accomadating for all of our needs. We arrived to a delicious homemade coffee cake, which we all enjoyed during our stay. I never had an oppertunity to meet Gina in person, however I can tell you she is a special person and our family will rent the Inn again.

  My extended family of 16 people stayed for one week over Thanksgiving to celebrate the holiday, an 80th birthday and a 25th anniversary! We found the home to be in an ideal location, close to Pismo Beach, wine tasting, shopping and golfing- something for everyone. The Inn has wonderfully large bedrooms with quality linens and personal touches for the celebrants. The kitchen was great for a large group- with 3 refrigerators and 2 ovens- we enjoyed cooking our meals and eating together in the dining room, which easily seated us all. We would love to return!

  My husband and I stayed 4 nights at the Abella Innlast week and found the property to be very clean, tastefully decorated and in a great location to walk to old Arroyo Grande. The innkeeper, Gina, had the refrigerator well stocked with food for a daily continental breakfast. In addition the microwave, as well as the cooking facilities, made it a home away from home. Gina loves her Inn and this shows by her lovely maintenance of the property and her genuine and enthusiastic caring for all who stay there. We had a most memorable time and would be eager to return. When one meets Gina, one meets a friend as well as an innkeeper. Ciao and love, Jessica and Harvey
