Very quiet and peaceful location. The roads into and out of location are a little on the narrow side. Only downside is the tap water. It has an unpleasant odor that is very typical of south Florida water and if you don't know that is normal, you may think something is wrong with it (I've experienced the same on the west coast of Florida, so I wasn't alarmed by it). The house was decorated just like the pictures. The fixtures (bathroom and kitchen) are a bit dated, but worked just fine. The owner suggest you bring bottled water if you are not use to well water. I strongly agree with her. I would recommend the place to friends that enjoy the more rustic experience, but not to the ones who are use to luxury condos on the beach.Recommended for: Families with teenagers.
Owner response: Thank you for your Review. I have lived in Florida for 30 years. I know when folks come from other States; they say they can smell the water. I don't.. I'm sorry it has that earthy odor. We do have a large filter system, and small ones on the faucets. The water is safe! We are that rustic home tucked away down the more hidden trail. It is a dead end street and very quiet and you are right it is not a luxury condo. We do keep top of the line linens and comfy beds, and of course hot showers with good pressure. I’m glad you enjoyed it and I hope you are one of the ones who like the rustic style. We hope to see you again!!

Six adults stayed in the property for 29 days. The house was spacious. I particular enjoyed fishing on the dock. The neighborhood wash very quiet. What you read in the detail of the house is exactly what you get. The only downside is that it has only one small tv in the family room and no wifi connection for your laptop.Did you find this review helpful? Yes | No Helpful votes: 0/0

My family (myself, husband and 15 month old son) stayed in this home for a week and had a wonderful time. It reminded us of a New Hampshire cabin (decorations and layout)... which was very comforting being from MA and loving to vacation in the NH mountains. We had friends in the area and there was plenty of space to have them over for a BBQ. The local house manager, Ed, was awesome and made sure we had everything we needed. The location was private and peaceful, yet still only minutes away from the main drag (Rt 1). A big yard that the baby enjoyed playing in, and we loved having coffee overlooking the river every morning. It wasnt luxury, but had all the basic amenities you need to live, cook and entertain. Beds were super comfortable, and really nice towels/linens. Washer and Dryer a huge plus for us. Only downside was that the water was a bit sulfer smelling. There were point of use filters in the kitchen and bathrooms which worked well, but it was very noticable when taking a shower and when giving the baby a bath. Suggestion: put a filter on the inlet water line. All in all we had a wonderful time and we hope to go back next year! Thanks for sharing your home with us.Recommended for: Adventure seekers, age 55+, romantic getaway, families with teenagers, families with young children.
Owner response: Thank you Leah so much for your kind words. I will look into the shower water. Florida's well water does have a yellowish tint unfortunately.. But it is potable water. We do have a water filter system and the additional filters inside. It may be the salt in the softner was low as the maintenance man had just replenished it yesterday. I apologize for that. We do hope to see you again!

The home was nice overall with huge rooms and living area and an absolutely relaxing sunroom/patio/deck area that were my favorite places to hang out. I had friends over twice; once for a barbecue outdoors and once for dinner and games indoors. There was plenty of room for my guests at both and all thought the home was a great place to entertain. I only had to buy food and drinks as everything else needed for my stay was available. There was only one real negative, but for me personally it turned out to be a big negative that had me dropping my rating by two stars. The house has well water; really smelly foul yellowish well water. I could buy ice and drinking water for consuming and cooking. However, for washing, the faucet filters were inadequate and taking a shower in it with no filter was downright disgusting. If you don't mind bad well water, this is a nice little rental to stay at. If you cannot tolerate such water then this isn't the place for you.Owner response: Dear Texas Traveler, Thank you for the good things, AND THANK YOU for leaving the place so clean!!! I'm sorry about the water. It is well water but, timing is everything, the pump on the purification system must have burnt up the first couple of days you were there. When we went to clean after your departure we saw the water and had it fixed immediately. It only took 2 hours. I wish you had called me, I would have repaired it and salvaged you trip. I'm sorry that put a down on your trip.. However it is fine now and if you wish to revisit us. I will give you a special promotion price.

Just spent an amazing month, enjoying Florida and this home. Enjoyed hanging out on the deck and fishing. The house was all that was promised. Very convenient to Ft. Pierce beach, Jensen Beach, and so many things to do in the area. Don't miss the Friday night Fests and Saturday morning Farmers Market in Ft. Pierce. A good introduction to the area is taking the St. Lucie Princess cruise on the river.Recommended for: Age 55+, people with disabilities, romantic getaway, families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway, sightseeing.
Owner response: Thank you Mary!!! I'm so glad you enjoyed your stay. i do hope we see you again!

We enjoyed 4 nights in this spacious home. Very comfortable for 3 adults and 2 children. We didn't get to spend a lot of down time at the house since we were so busy visiting with family and sight-seeing, but did especially enjoy the nice screened in patio with the view of the river. I could see us enjoying a longer vacation here next time so that we can enjoy the peaceful setting... maybe bbq...Recommended for: Romantic getaway, families with teenagers, families with young children, sightseeing.
Owner response: Thank you so much!!!!!!!!!! I do hope you come back sometime.. I thank you for helping with the linens. I will send you a discount certificate for your next trip.

This place was great, everything we needed to be comfortable... I loved the private gift shop in the house, very unique like a hotel mini bar! We had a great evening BBQ on the deck and fished off the dock.. My son saw his first manatee. We drove to the inlet, 15 minutes. Great sushi place just 7 minutes..I loved that.. Sushi me!!! The neighbors were very kind and had good things to say about the owner. We went to Okeechobee to visit the owners rustic emporium... Never seen so much rustic stuff we had a great visit. We will definately be backRecommended for: People with disabilities, romantic getaway, families with teenagers.
Owner response: Thank you so much!!!!!!!!
