My husband and I found this condo on the web and had a great experience here. Unfortunately the pool was not in working order so we weren't able to utilize it. Being able to relax in the pool in the evening would have been nice. There was a very short walk to the beach down the pathway. We felt like we had the beach to ourselves. The inside of the condo was in mint condition when we got there. It was more than we anticipated. There was ample supplies in the kitchen so we were able to cook our own food and linens were available for our use. It was great and we would go back there again.

My husband and I found this condo via Trip advisor and felt like it would be a good fit for us. We were so pleased with the condo itself. It is located on the southern end of the island which in our opinion is the more peaceful end. Our entire experience was lovely - Brenda made everything so easy for us and even provided an extremely helpful guide to the island including activities and restaurant reviews. We felt like we were staying in a relative's condo. The condo itself is just wonderful - on the ground floor so every morning we could just walk out of the patio doors and onto the beach. I cooked almost every meal in the well-equipped kitchen and even read a suspenseful Patricia Cornwell novel that was on the condo's bookshelf. Brenda and Robert gave this place their full attention. We couldn't have been happier here. Close to everything yet removed enough to be peaceful. we wish they had been in charge of the weather also. some chilly days, but we'll be back.

We just returned from spending a restful week at this nice condo. The owners were very welcoming and very helpful. It was just as promised..had all we needed for R&R and the bed was wonderful! Beautiful property and beach. will be back

We had a great time in Amelia Is!! Your condo was perfect! Very clean and the location was great!! We lived in the water (pool and ocean), did fishing, ate out some, saw the fort and witnessed some newly hatched sea turtles heading for the ocean. The boys loved the big waves!! Our flight to and from was so easy! We truly relaxed.

Me, my husband, our son, and my great nephew were down the week of June 13 thru June 20, 2009. It was very hot but it was wonderful. The condo was beautiful and the King Size bed slept like a dream. I have a bad back so this is a huge plus. The room has great access to the pool and beach. The boys slept on the queen sleep sofa and was fine. The whole experience was so nice. We saw dolphins many times in the water and I myself caught several whitings in the surf and one small shark. The water was the clearest I have ever seen it on the Atlantic Coast while we were there. We also visited Fort Clinch State Park and found many great shells and fished from the pier, where we say either man o wars or sting rays, not sure which. We also saw large ships which the kids loved while at Fort Clinch State Park. Our vacation was much needed and very enjoyed at this location and in this beautiful and very clean room. Brenda and her husband were a pleasure to work with. It seemed like things used to be when people trusted one another. Thank you for a wonderful vacation and all the suggestions. Having our 19 month old with us and a lush yard off of the patio was wonderful! The beach was only a few footsteps away, and you have a great view of the pool. Also, I'm convinced that the king size bed in the condo is the most comfortable bed I've slept in! Very spacious. The condo was stocked well with everything you need. This place beat my expectations by a mile!

My husband, 2 year old daughter and I stayed in Amelia Island at this condo for a week June 2008. We loved the location of the unit and the Surf & Racquet Club in general. The condo was clean and well stocked. The bed was very comfortable. There are 2 pools and 2 kids pools on the property. Brenda was extremely helpful and always available. The list of restaurants she gave us were a tremendous help. Our favorite restaurants were Barbara Jeans, Lulu's Bra and Grill, Cafe Karibo, Moon River Pizza and Arte's Pizza(although we had a horrible waitress here but the pizza was excellent). I would highly recommend this condo and Amelia Island/Fernandina Beach.

WE HAVE BEEN TO AMELIA ISLAND FOR MANY YEARS NOW AND THIS HAS BEEN BY FAR THE BEST CONDO THAT WE HAVE STAYED IN. THE OWNERS ALSO GAVE US A WONDERFUL LIST OF RESTAURANTS,SHOPPING AND ACTIVITIES TO DO. SEVERAL RESTAURANTS THAT I WOULD RECOMMEND ARE: LULU'S BRA AND GRILL, COSY,WONDERFUL FOOD. JOE'S 2ND ST. BISTRO AND BEECH ST. GRILL, BOTH HAVE WONDERFUL FOOD AND THE EMPLOYEES ARE VERY ATTENTIVE. ALSO THE RESTAURANT IN AMELIA ISLAND PLANTATION THAT SITS ON THE POND IS QUITE GOOD FOR LUNCH AND YOU CAN GET GROCERIES ALSO FOR THE CONDO.THERE ARE SOME WONDERFUL SHOPS IN THERE AND FERNANDINA BEACH IS GREAT.

We have stayed in this condo for our past 2 summer vacations, and we love it! We often long to visit for a Fall or Winter vacation too. The Surf and Racquet Club is quiet, well maintained, and perfect for families. This unit is spacious, well decorated, and immaculately clean! The ground floor is perfect for our children to play on the lawn just outside the patio. I can actulally cook supper in the kitchen, watch my kids play outside, and see the ocean in the distance. Both pools are nice and the boardwalk provides easy access to the beach. Robert and Brenda are very friendly and easy to work with. It is obvious they enjoy Amelia Island, and they take pride in their units. The list of restaurants Brenda provides is great! Our favorites she recommended are Barbara Jeans and Sandy Bottoms. We haven't tried any of the neat little restaurants she recommended in Fernindina Beach yet, but we hope to do that next time we visit. We knew the minute we arrived at the Surf and Racquet Club and entered this unit that we had found our family vacation spot for many years to come.

Absolutely a wonderful trip for our first trip to Amelia Island. The condo is spacious and so near the beach! The unit is kept spic and span, tastfully decorated, and has all the amenities we needed. Brenda is extremely helpful, and by supplying us the restaurant list, we were able to get around to some good food without getting lost. We are looking forward to returning back to the island next year.

Brenda & Robert,Thank you for the wonderful, relaxing week our family had in Amelia Island. The condo was fabulous. We loved the décor and the bed and pillows were so comfortable. We also appreciated the special touches like soft music playing when we arrived, magazines, books and videos. We took the restaurant list that you gave us everywhere we went and found it to be very helpful. We enjoyed a couple of dinners with entertainment at The Surf (note: the crab special is on Friday nights only and you may want to update the prices you noted for the crab and lobster specials – they’ve gone up a bit, although I can’t remember the exact amount). The crab cakes at Barbara Jean’s were excellent, as was everything else we tried. My husband, a pizza aficionado, gave Moon River Pizza rave reviews (you’re right; “The Pizza” is very good). We wrapped up our trip with dinner at Sandy Bottoms; the view was great but the service was terrible and the food was not so great, although we didn’t order burgers like you recommended.We were somehow unable to find a shark’s tooth during our many hours on the beach, but we were blessed with a few other rare treats: finding a large shell in the ocean with a hermit crab living inside; experiencing a very impressive hail storm; seeing nesting sea turtles in the sand dunes; watching sting rays feed in the shallow surf right around our feet; watching wild dolphins playfully jump and flip in the air; etc. It was a vacation we’ll never forget.Thank you for your hospitality and the wonderful accommodations.

Dear Brenda and Robert, We had such a great time at your Condo! We will return! We loved the sights and the area. We never had a bad meal (thanks to your advice and list of Restaurants)! The weather was great and the sunrise every morning was the best! We took long walks on the trails along the road and walked the beach every day. We found many nice shops all over the Island. We found this condo to be very nice and airy! And we loved the view and access to the beach. Everything is quite convenient (parking, pool, beach, etc.). We also appreciated the cleanliness of the condo and the updated look of everything. Lots of little touches that show an owner's care. We will definitely stay in this condo again!
