You and your family will love staying in this beautiful three bedroom, three bath home nestled on the banks of lake LaVista, just one block north of pine avenue in the village of Anna Maria. With over 2100 square feet of ground-floor living space, you'll have plenty of room to relax and enjoy your surroundings. The large dining room table is the perfect spot for family gatherings, and the expansive, well-equipped kitchen will make it easy for everyone to pitch in when it's time for meal preparation.
Two bedrooms and one bathroom are located down the hallway, and can be closed off for additional privacy, while the master bedroom features an en suite bath, private patio area, and beautiful views over Lake LaVista.
Although every room in the house is beautifully decorated with family treasures, the prettiest part of this house is, without a doubt, the large back yard. Loads of windows and sliding glass doors provide a terrific view from most rooms, along with easy access to this inviting oasis. The large heated pool is child-friendly with a shallow area at both ends. And, stretching the length of this extra-large property is lake LaVista, a beautiful meandering waterway that leads out to Tampa bay. Boaters, please keep in mind that the one fixed bridge between the house and Tampa Bay allows only a 7 foot clearance at high tide.
When you're ready for the beach, an easy walk or bike ride will take you to the gulf by the sand bar restaurant, or to the bay near the historic Anna Maria City Pier. You'll find shops and restaurants en route, along with the Anna Maria community theater and the Anna Maria historic society museum, as well as fun street festivals several times a year. And, a stop for the free island trolley is just at the end of the street when you're ready for adventures a little further down the island!
Sleeps 6 in 3 queen beds, but there's plenty of room if you'd like to have bring in a couple of roll-away beds for the kids.

Reservations are non-refundable, unless we can re-book the property for the same dates at the same amount. Please see our Vacation Rental Agreement for details. A deposit of 25% of the rental fee, plus the reservation and administrative fees, is due at booking. The remaining portion is due 60 days prior to arrival. If you book within 60 days of your arrival, the entire amount is due at booking.

About: In the 30+ years my husband and I have been married, we've lived in a number of interesting spots, including Destin, Atlanta, Orlando, and, most recently, Longmont, Colorado. We loved living in each one, but it's hard to beat the crystal-clear aqua waters and the white sand beaches of AMI! I actually grew up on Siesta Key, but love the fact that even when you live here on Anna Maria, as soon as you cross the bridge onto the island you feel like you're on vacation.
I've been a REALTOR working in the vacation rental business since moving here to Anna Maria in 2008, and now own beachrentals.mobi with my business partner, Ed DeLosh. My husband, Vinnie, is a Certified Financial Planner, and a frequent cast member of productions at the Anna Maria Community Playhouse.
Why Anna Maria: This is a fantastic family house! Plus, our last place in Colorado had living space on 4 different levels...when we moved here, we were definitely ready for something without stairs! Our location is absolutely wonderful; I can walk to the Gulf beaches at the Sand Bar, or over to the Historic City Pier in 5 or 7 minutes, with shops, restaurants, the theater, Post Office, and everything else in between, including a stop for the free trolley at the end of the road. And, of course, you can't beat the double-sized yard, big pool, and beautiful views over Lake LaVista.
The Unique Benefits at this House: Our canal is called 'Lake LaVista' because when early settlers came to the island in the late 1800's, it was really a lake, complete with a very large alligator! Developers a few decades later dredged an opening from Tampa Bay to the Lake by the Historic Anna Maria City Pier. The alligators, by the way, are long gone, but we see fabulous displays of nature, including the occasional manatee cruising by, as well as every imaginable island bird. As a matter of fact, the house is named for a great blue heron that my husband calls 'Max,' and a white heron he named 'Denise.' Max and Denise are still frequent visitors to our home, along with Mavis & Madge, ducks who occasionally splash in our pool, and Winky & Moe, starfish who live by our seawall.
