Everything was exactly as advertised. We really enjoyed our stay. I was surprised by how quiet the neighborhood was in the evening. The Casita is conveniently located to so many areas of San Diego but was extremely comfortable to just relax.Recommended for: Age 55+, romantic getaway, families with teenagers, sightseeing.

First trip to San Diego and this place delivered Although the room is a studio, it seems huge!. Very nice bed and balcony with ocean views abound. Very nicely located between a lot of different San Diego Attractions. The drive everywhere seemed relatively short. Also loved the off the street garage parking and hot tub!Recommended for: Adventure seekers, age 55+, romantic getaway, sightseeing.

I want to start out by saying this was a wonderful honeymoon for my husband and I. The Casita was very private and we never had any problems being alone. Which was fantastic! We didn't even meet Scott (the owner) until our second or third day staying here. Having a garage to ourselves with an opener was in my opinion fantastic. The balcony has great views of the ocean and falling asleep on the hammock is a must. The only thing that was a slight bother was the airplanes constantly flying by over head, but I here that most of San Diego is like that anywhere you go. Also, we bought stuff to make margaritas and the margaritaville did not work. We had to really play with it to get it to do anything. The outside shower was also fabulous! Used it everyday after the beach. And the washer and dryer are located conveniently right next to it so you can just throw your clothes right in there. It was really nice having boogie boards there as well. (Although we seemed to miss the good waves almost everytime) I would recommend this to anyone who is looking for a great romantic stay together. Or anyone who loves the beach. Just make sure you leave enough time to clean up the morning you leave, because we didnt have time and got charged a small cleaning fee. :)Recommended for: Age 55+, romantic getaway, families with young children, sightseeing.
Owner response: Myriah, Thank you for the review and for choosing the Casita for your Honeymoon. I have added a traditional blender to the Casita because the Margaritaville blender can be complicated. Otherwise we were glad to hear that you two had a great time and were very comfortable in the Casita. Best of luck in the future. Sincerely, Scott

Adorable little patio with hot tub and great rooftop patio with a fabulous view! Just a short, leisure walk to town/ocean beach. My husband, 8yr old daughter and I stayed here in the Spring. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Casita. We really liked the quiet neighborhood of Point Loma Heights. It was so conveniently located near Ocean Beach - about a 5 minute drive. Or you can even ride a bike (provided on the property) to the beach. It is a very private property and the owners respected our privacy. They are a very friendly couple who we met on our last day. Our stay was so pleasant and comfortable that we wouldn't hesitate to come back and stay again. All the amenities and tasteful interior was better than expected!Recommended for: Adventure seekers, families with young children, sightseeing.

Just back from a 4 night stay at the Casita - so glad we chose to stay here! We couldn't get a full week, so stayed at the Hyatt Mission Bay for a few nights, then moved here. Exactly as described and all arrangements were flawless. It's located in a quiet residential neighbourhood - at first we thought we'd rather be closer to the beach but decided it was actually better up the hill. The view is spectacular - saw the fireworks from SeaWorld on the first night while dining on the rooftop patio! Scott and Dania gave us great recommendations and were gracious hosts. Our kids had the time of their lives bodysurfing and boogie-boarding on the beach down the hill (boards & skimboards, beach chairs & cooler were at the house). We got hooked on Auzucar, a Cuban style patisserie on Newport - best coffee, amazing pastries. There are many good local markets, including a Trader Joe's so it's easy to pick up groceries or snacks. On the day we checked in, we drove down to the Cabrillo Monument State Park, Point Loma ($5 car) - fantastic views, historical lighthouse, interpreter programme & tidepools. We'd come back to Ocean Beach & the Casita in a heartbeat!Recommended for: Adventure seekers, age 55+, romantic getaway, families with young children, girls getaway.
Owner response: Vikki, thanks for the review! Yes, Azucar is an awesome OB Cuban style patisserie. We were so happy to discover this diamond as well. TJ's is one of our go to grocery stores as well and we can't recommend spending the 5 dollars to gain entrance to Cabrillo National Monument enough! Actually the pass is good for 7 days so guests can enjoy it over and over, especially recommended for sunsets and the tidepools during low tide. Can't take credit for the skimboard. One of our gracious guests donated that earlier this summer for future guests!

Owner response: Linda, Thank you for the great review and we look forward to your next "mini" vacation to San Diego. We always appreciate hearing when our guests enjoy the extra items that we have stocked the Casita with. We have truly shaken the branch to think of everything. Sincerely, Scott
