Owner's Profile

Owner Description

Year Purchased: 1994

We relocated from a busy Metro area to Leelanau County with the dream of accommodating couples and families with clean and comfortable lodging that was affordable.

Being an 'Innkeeper' and seeing smiles on our guests faces year after year is very rewarding to us, especially when you hear a child ask their parents 'can we come back to the Cottage next year?'

Why the Owner Chose Suttons Bay

We are situated in the heart of one of the most magnificent areas. When we found our 'Hobby Farm' included was what was once a 100+ year-old Granary. We visualized a comfy Country Guesthouse for travelers in Spring, Summer & Fall that was centered in our magnificent Leelanau County.

After a complete renovation and more than 18-months of hard work, LEELANAU COUNTRY COTTAGE accommodated their first guests receiving many compliments.

We have since welcomed local Tourists, Winery Touring guests and even folks from Europe wishing to see the splendor of our area.

The Unique Benefits of this Cottage

We are close to 8 Wineries and Tasting Rooms, immediately adjacent to THE LEELANAU TRAIL and just minutes away from 'postcard perfect' freshwater beaches.

Date of Stay: 08/15/11 Review Submitted: 09/01/11

The cottage was wonderful! Very clean and a great location. We were just off the bike trail that lead right into downtown Sutton's Bay. A great way to start the day; bike ride & breakfast in town! Thanks for everything Bill! Jeremy & Tera

Owner response:Tera & Jeremy, It was a pleasure to meet you. Weather was great, beaches were great, Wineries were great! What more could you need for a getaway. You are always welcome here & thanks again for your positive support. The best to you both! Leelanau Country Cottage
