  This was our first time here. The hot tub was so fun! At night we went out and the moon was really bright and the sky was so clear.The kitchen was fully equipped and everything looked new and clean. I could live in this house and be happy- it was that perfect! House was so private which was nice. Also, we heard lots of birds singing from the deck. We hope to come back again soon!

  Owner response: Rafal, we are glad you had a great time ! The house is surrounded by vacant wooded lots offering a complete privacy and true connection to the nature. Deer pass on daily basis and it is not uncommon to see wild turkeys as well. This summer, we are adding a patio and outdoor fireplace to enjoy more outdoor living and Poconos beautiful evenings.

  We thought the house was absolutly beautiful, just what we needed. I mean we needed it so bad that we cant wait to go back. The out house was amazing, the jacuzzi was excellent and the peace of mind was the icing on the cake. And the fire place came in handy on those romantic nights. Thanks again and we highly recommend it for families or couples.

  I would like to say that this place was perfect. It had everything we needed and was located so close to everything. My friends and I enjoyed every minute of the stay. Martin has a beautiful home and the area surrounding it is great also. Martin was there whenever we had questions and responded very quickly. I would absolutely rent this home again. Thanks Martin!

  Martin was an incredible host; everything was just as promised and he was super patient with us when we had to contact him with even the stupidest questions. The property was impeccably clean, totally inviting, and stocked with all the amenities we could ask for. We brought our dogs and they loved looking out at the local wildlife (lots of squirrels and plenty of deer). The only problem we had was that we ended up wanting to stay much longer than we had planned. We plan to return in the summer (we were there for winter), and we are very much looking forward to our next trip.

  I booked this house for a ski weekend with 9 others for our friend's 27th birthday trip. We were looking for a nice, clean, updated place close to the ski slopes and this house was a perfect fit. There was enough room for everyone to have their own space, but the living area and kitchen had an open floor plan which allowed us to all hang out together - even while cooking, making drinks, etc. We used the hot tub the first night and it worked fine (not sure why the other reviews are stating otherwise). We did not use the sauna, so I cannot comment on that. The wood burning fireplace worked great and made the place extra cozy. We also used the dishwasher and washing machine/dryer multiple times without any troubles. Martin was a pleasure to work with, and I found him to be very professional. He did not come by the house while we were staying there, but was available via email and text to answer our questions. We did not have any trouble with the house though, so there was no reason for Martin to stop by. I have doubts about the validity of the other reviews stating that he was always at the house. If he did not stop by once with 10 20-something year old kids staying there, why would he pester a couple? It doesn't add up. Anyway, I couldn't say enough good things about this place for a ski weekend with friends or a nice retreat for a couple or family. It was a great bonus that we could bring our dogs along too! There was a big backyard that they loved running around. I would highly recommend this house - don't listen to the negative reviews! :)

  It has been 1 year since Martin Halla promised to give us a long weekend for our unfortunate stay at his rent house. We thought this is a man of word. Think again. Every single time he was promising something in exchange he was changing his mind against our favor, and we never were recompensed for what we thought we payed. His promises were as follows: Memorial Weekend (month before, he sents us an email that it's booked [we thought he booked it for us .. Guess again]), Full refund for our stay (it took him a month to sent the checks, because it was after 90 days of paypal's refund insurance policy [we only got 1/3 of the whole cost of stay, plus bounce back check fees]), and I was threaten also with lawyers (? For what ?). Some insights about his house and stay at his house. Jacuzzi is broken (be careful you can get burned), sauna is infrared (bs not sauna), billiard pool is for kids (adults won't play on it), be careful with the toilet (it might get clogged), during winter 1 room is heated and the other is not (the one next to bathroom), basket fool of goods (chips for 50c, chewing gum for another 50c, and cheap wine from Costco), he was always on the the property We hope that he fixed all those things but his word is worth nothing !!! So think before you choose this chalet for your stay.

  Owner response: I am honest hard working person and my vacation house has been fully functional since the beginning. I do not come to the property, the hot tub is safe and periodically checked by professional technicians, sauna has been infrared and great addition to the amenities , toilet works great and the entire house is properly heated with baseboard heaters and the fireplace - firewood is provided at no cost. There is no pool table in the house nor one advertised. The welcome basket with a bottle of wine from local Pennsylvania vineyard (I support our community) and variety of snacks is my personal gift to the renters and has been greatly enjoyed and appreciated by all guests but these renters. Attacking personal gift that comes from warm and open heart and is paid by the owner, is disrespectful and disgrace. Unfortunately, there are people who are always complaining and never satisfied with anything. I do not offer holiday weekend upon request based on dissatisfaction with everything. The mentioned refund was actually returned security deposit which was a third of the entire rental sum. Providing beautiful modern house full of amenities has never been good enough to the guests. Their insults of me, hot tub, sauna, personal gift etc just show the true personality of people themselves. I wish everyone the best.

  My husband and I rented this house the weekend before Hurricane Sandy, and ended up staying three days longer after the storm. We had a wonderful time. This is one of the best deals in the Poconos. The renovations on the house have been done to perfection, and all of the amenities (washer/dryer, kitchen, hot tub) are so new that it felt like we were the first people to use them. The lot is also incredible, and seeing the deer was a thrill for us and our one year old daughter. Martin was a wonderful host, and we plan to come back for a visit again.

  My family decided to do something different for the holiday and we found this house for rent. It was 7 of us, the kitchen was big enough to cook a thanksgiving dinner. The house was very clean and comfortable and Martin, the owner, was very accomodating anytime i had a question. We had a very good time and would definitely consider doing this again.

  We had such a lovely vacation in this rental home. My husband and I stayed here for a week and we were surprised by all the thought that went into our stay from the owner, Martin. We were allowed to bring our dog, which was a big deciding factor, and a crate was provided and even set up when we arrived. The home was immaculate and cleaner than my own house, and the hot tub was filled with fresh water for our stay. The kitchen is beautiful and very recently updated, with a brand new HE washer and dryer right in the kitchen as well. When we arrived, there was a lovely welcome basket with some things to nibble on, toiletries, and a bottle of wine. As other reviewers have stated, this is a small home, but it was perfect for my husband and I, and certainly enough room for children as well, if you have any. A vacation home needn't be big anyways, in our opinion, you should be out doing things! :) The pocono area has so many things to offer whether you choose to be active or not. The home is secluded, and the scenery was gorgeous, with many deer passing by all the time, along with other woodland critters. The lakes were a short walk away, and everyone we encountered in the neighborhood was friendly. It was a beautiful area to take my dog for long walks, which we did every day. The sauna in the separate living quarters was a nice touch and would be wonderful on chillier days. The hot tub was right outside the door on the back patio and was lovely to relax in every night. Although we stayed here in the most beautiful week in September, I'm sure it would be lovely in the winter as well. Martin, the owner was extremely hospitable and helpful with everything we needed. We broke a couple small items and let him know immediately, and he was very understanding. Please disregard the negative reviews below, some people will never be pleased. Anything we needed help with was addressed promptly from Martin, and he was very organized and professional throughout the whole process. This rental is extremely well priced and we will definitely consider staying here next year. Thanks again Marin for a wonderful transaction. This was our favorite vacation!
