Nice Apartment in Condado Area of San Juan

The apartment was in a great building (with a pool and small gym) that had 24 hour security. The neighborhood is ideal for a stay in San Juan -- close to the beach, old San Juan, and the airport. There are great restaurants in the area as well. Carlos was very helpful and responsive. The only issue we had was that a lot of light came into the apartment at sunrise, which made it hard to sleep in. We did not ask Carlos about this though, and I'm sure if we did he would have fixed it. Overall our stay was great and we would definitely recommend the apartment. It was a great deal!Did you find this review helpful? Yes | No Helpful votes: 1/1

GREAT location! Clean and stylish building with excellent security, a lovely pool and good gym facilities. The apt is cozy, has everything you need. It's very close to the beach, as well as a variety of restaurant types and trendy bars. On 15th floor so it's quiet. Would definitely go back. Good idea to arrange for parking if you rent a car. The owner was very accommodating and stopped by with an extra key despite the holiday.Did you find this review helpful? Yes | No Helpful votes: 0/0

Always remember "You get what you paid for" and that is what my partner and I walked away from during our stay. The location is ideal, with plenty of great local restaurants to choose from and beach access at your leisure. Also having the front desk security made you feel very safe. The decore in the studio (1501) has been changed (so pictures on website should reflect that). Attention to detail is a must for me, so when I see exposed cables around doors or patch work incomplete this puts my decision to stay at another condo on the front burner. I think after some much needed upgrades to the bathroom and some attention to various areas in the condo, this will become a 5 star retreat for all to enjoy.Recommended for: Romantic getaway.
Owner response: It is interesting that when the guests arrived I received a text message from them saying that everything was good and that there were no complaints. I replied to the guest with a voice mail and text message to assure them that if there was anything they need to please contact me at anytime. During there stay there was not a single call from them so I assume that everything was ok. I guess I assumed wrong. I do take comments very seriously from guests as any improvement made has been based on previous guests comments/suggestions. But to complaint about the Cable Company wires that were installed by the cable company following the edges of the floor and doors...that 's a bit too much. If you are interested in a no hazzle, very clean, very friendly, very safe, modern looking and cozy studio in the best location in Condado at a very affordable rental rate please do contact me and I wil do everything in my reach to make your stay most enjoyable. But if you are expecting the Ritz Carlton then pay the $248 per night and go to the Ritz Carlton.

We stayed 3 nights in April and enjoyed the gorgeous views, especially at night! It's perfect for 2 and the cupboard is stocked with seasonings, etc. We could walk easily to many restaurants (Subway Restaurant prices as cheap as in the US, Italian restaurant had great pizzas) and 24-hr. Walgreen's with a grocery dept. With the balcony door open in the evening you can hear all the cool sounds of city nightlife, but with the door closed it's peaceful. The unit is tucked into the side of the bldg. so it's extremely quiet. Very efficient A/C, nice TV and sound system, terrific closet space and storage in general. Guard on duty in lobby 6 a.m. to 10 p.m. and entry is only with key to both lobby and elevator hall. Condo owner neighbors are helpful and friendly. This is a safe area of San Juan, even strolling at night. Drivers are always very courteous of street-crossing pedestrians. This condo is ideal for a couple who aren't using a car during their stay. Taxis stop every few min. if you stand out front of the bldg. You get all the cool breezes in this upper-floor unit. Liquor store very close by. Recommend making and enjoying drinks at the condo rather than spending $7 for rum and coke at restaurants, as rum is very cheap to buy at the store. Carlos is as helpful and available as others have mentioned. There are books to read at your leisure. The pool area is very spacious, even though we didn't use it. Would definitely stay here again if we visit San Juan in the future!Recommended for: Tourists without a car, girls getaway, romantic getaway, age 55+.

Wow. This was the best stay in Puerto Rico I've ever had and this would make it my 9th time visiting. This was trip for pleasure, and us 4 20-somethings really enjoyed the location, amenities and convenience of this condo. From the moment we arrived at the condo building, the security staff was very helpful and knowledgeable about the area and the island itself. Carlos, the owner, was there to orient us with the condo itself, and it was more than the pictures will ever show. There's a nice sized balcony that has views of the ocean, pretty homes to the left, and the casinos of Isla Verde as well. It's the best view to wake up to in the morning. The studio was decorated very fashionably and there are many pillows, towels (beach and shower) and covers in the closet - very convenient. The fastest way to the beach is less than a block away but the stairs there are small and not a good route for young children or those the less athletic. In the condo, Carlos also has folding beach chairs and buggie boards - such a thoughtful addition. The italian restaurant less than a block away has great pizza as well as other entrees, and the Cuban restaurant next door was always full, although we never went. Try your best to avoid the 24 hour "Authetic Puerto Rican" restaurant found near La Concha - as a Puerto Rican, I can tell you it was overpriced, with subpar food and delayed service. For being the only people in the restaurant at 1:30 am, you would expect faster attentiveness by the waitstaff as well as cleanliness - there was a hair in my pina colada. Carlos was a great host, and very accessible. The first night we thought there was something wrong with the toilet. He was quick to answer our concerns and let us know that it's jus that the tank takes a little longer to fill up, much to our relief. We will definately check with Carlos and this studio before any other visits and I've already recommended it to family! Don't pass up this great value and overall stay. Keep up the great job Carlos!Recommended for: Sightseeing, tourists without a car, girls getaway, families with young children, romantic getaway, families with teenagers.

From the moment I walked in til my last sad moment when I had to say goodbye, everything was excellent! Perfect location, nice friendly people in the building, and the condo had everything I needed and more. There really is no way to fully express how much I loved the location. The condo is a two minute walk from the beach and there is a man who rents umbrellas and lounge chairs right next to the Marriott so all you really need is a beach towel (a whole stack are in the condo) sunscreen , a beach bag (provided in the condo) and an Ipod and youre all set! There are also cocktail servers who work at the Marriott who are more than happy to serve you drinks while you are laying out. Budatai is down the street if youre looking for a great Sunday brunch or dinner but thats just the beginning. The decor of the condo is modern yet comfortable. I loved it. Very stylish yet still cozy. And super clean. If you are thinking of staying here, I am more than sure you will love it!Recommended for: Sightseeing, tourists without a car, girls getaway, adventure seekers, romantic getaway.

We stayed from March 22-28, 2009. Carlos was waiting for us at the entrance, he was very sweet and helpfull, he walked up with us to the apartments and showed us where everything was and how it worked, he had the futon bed already made for us because we came in on a late flight. He was available and answered the phone quickly whenever we had any questions. The beach was amazing and right accross the street, we also went to salsa dance and to the casino on our last night at the Mariott Hotel which is also right across the street. There are several restaurants and hotels with casinos down El Condado. We had a great time couldnt have asked for more.Recommended for: Tourists without a car, girls getaway, romantic getaway, families with teenagers.

My husband and I stayed in this large studio for eight nights at the end of 2008- including Christmas and New Years Eve. The owner met us at the unit to check us in with a gift of fresh flowers. He set my laptop up on wireless internet in the unit and gave us a quick demo. of the flat screen TV with DVD player and nice music system. We only had one small problem (the key broke off in the lock) and when we telephoned the owner on his cellphone, he sent us out for the day( didn't hold us up), had a new key made and delivered it to the security desk for us to pick up upon our return. We were very pleased! The studio is plenty big for a couple with one comfy bed. We enjoyed having the fully equipped kitchen for stocking breakfast items, snacks, drinks and for reheating leftovers. The laundry room in the building was clean and there was no waiting as there were at least seven of each- washers and dryers. (We washed towels and sheets half way through our trip.) I highly recommend renting a car for your trip. Each evening we checked weather.com and if it was going to rain in San Juan, we planned to drive to Ponce (the other side of the island and a very scenic drive on toll roads) where it rarely rains and we visited the Hilton Ponce for lunch and beach/pool or went to Humacao- The Sheraton there. This was our first trip with portable Garmin GPS and we were pleased that directions were accurate. If you wanted to stay put in the condo. (no rental car) there are public busses and taxi cabs are easily available. The Condado area is full of restaurants and bars...beach chairs can be had across the street at the Marriott beach. The Marriott has a great dinner buffet that is well worth the $32/per person charge. Next time we visit PR, we will remember to bring some of our favorite CD's for the rental car. We parked our rental car at the Marriott. It was about $120. for the week. Check with Carlos in advance if you will be renting a car and you may be able to rent a parking space under these condos. Overall, the money we saved by staying in this well equipped condo. (vs. a hotel like the Marriott) was nice to have as we put it towards a rental car, parking for the entire trip. One day we drove to El Yunque Rainforest early (got there before 9:00am when the park officially opens) and we were done hiking to the La Mina falls before 11:00am. Then we hit the food kiosks at Luquillo Beach for lunch and the beach afterwards. Have a great trip!Recommended for: Sightseeing, tourists without a car, adventure seekers, romantic getaway, age 55+.

A few minutes walk to the hottest name brand shopping districts, Casinos, the finest in Latin cuisine, and perhaps one of the cleanest beaches around. The spacious living room and fully equipped luxury kitchen are sure to please even the most particular. Busses to the mall and San Juan stop right in front of the building. Helpful yet courteous security, plus in-house laundry and swimming pool make this the right family choice.Recommended for: Sightseeing, tourists without a car, girls getaway, adventure seekers, romantic getaway, age 55+.
