We absolutely loved staying in this 2 bedroom home! It is such a relaxing location. It has a nice swing and hammock. One morning we saw dolphins in the water right outside the front window. The home was perfect, very clean, very nice. The owner was good with customer service. We would totally recommend this place to anyone looking to get away from it all. We relaxed at the home and then when we were ready to get out, there were quite a few options of sightseeing within 30 min or so drive. We really liked the ferry ride to Cape Lookout. The ferry left us there for a couple hours and we walked the beaches and looked at the lighthouse (also a good place for picking seashells). We also saw wild horses on the local islands as we passed. We also hiked at Pine Cliff Recreation Area along the shore. It was very beautiful. And as we went in March (bring a sweatshirt), there was no one else there, so peaceful. We enjoyed going to Fort Macon (free) and walking around there. We also walked Atlantic Beach, very beautiful, waves crashing, soft sand.Did you find this review helpful? Yes | No Helpful votes: 0/0

My husband & I traveled to NC to visit with my son, who is in the Marine Corps stationed at Cherry Point. I came across this rental property while looking for something that would be more like "home" for us to have our visit. This property was PERFECT! From the time we drove up the driveway, I loved it! The dolphin fountain out front was very welcoming. Then I seen the beautiful water behind it. Truly a gorgeous place! The home certainly did not disappoint either. The walkway leading up to the home is made of rocks but had seashells scattered through out. which may not seem like much, but its these kinds of little things that show the owners care about your stay. The home was clean & as you walk down the hallway all you see are windows that line the whole wall that overlook the water. There was a fresh baked banana chocolate chip cake & a bottle of local wine on the island in the kitchen waiting for us. The kitchen came equipped with everything you need to make basic meals even a couple racks of spices. There was a large screen tv with a Blu ray/dvd player with an assortment of movies on hand & surround sound. The big porch was my favorite place, I spent every morning watching the absolutely beautiful sunrise with a specialty coffee or tea provided by the owners. After it would warm up at least a little I would take a brisk walk on the private beach & look for seashells (I collected 1 everyday I was there & plan to scrapbook with the many many photos that I took) & I would watch for dolphins, however I think it may have been to cold during our visit for dolphins but I would watch the Ferry's cross the river & the birds. The owners provided us with binoculars, which was a great touch because I used them all the time! The weather was not very cooperative while we where there, It was Dec/Jan so we were not able to take advantage of the horseshoes, or beautiful firepit. We did get a chance to take the Kayaks out a couple times, Glenn was very helpful teaching us the basics, then off we went, It was more fun than I could have ever imagined! You are able to explore the area in a way you can't from land. The bedrooms are large & plenty of closet space. The master bath has a jetted tub that was a nice way to warm up from sitting on the porch watching the sunset, that is just as beautiful as the sunrises. Its a short drive to grocery stores & restaurants. We booked it for 4 nights but stayed an extra 2. Glen & Marianne were wonderful. I hope we get to visit again!Did you find this review helpful? I loved my stay in August! They were so nice in making sure we were comfortable. I saw dolphins on the first day! I love taking the paddle boat out and kayaks. The fire pit made for some fun nights! I highly recommended this great hidden spot! Sign up for some real relaxation and get away from the busy hotels!Recommended for: Age 55+, people with disabilities, girls getaway, romantic getaway.

Neuse Breeze was the perfect place to stay for our vacation. Marianne and Glen were very friendly and helpful, giving us lots of suggestions for local restaurants and attractions. The accommodations were as described, very CLEAN and beautifully furnished. The private beach and grounds were well maintained. We enjoyed the fire pit and Glen was helpful in getting the fire going. My husband and daughter took the kayak out a few times and spotted some dolphins and a sting ray! And our 7 year old really enjoyed fishing from the beach. The location was perfect for visiting nearby attractions and the beach which was only a 30 minute drive. Check the weather for Beaufort if you're heading to the beach as it was raining at Neuse Breeze but the sun was shining at Atlantic Beach when we got there. Marianne and Glen suggested taking the ferry to Shackleford Island which was well worth the $15 for adults and $8 for children. We found LOTS of great shells and had a great beach day. Be sure to take lots of water and snacks with you as there are no amenities on the island. I would highly recommend Neuse Breeze as a quiet, peaceful getaway. Thanks Glen and Marianne for making our stay comfortable and fun!Did you find this review helpful? Yes | No Helpful votes: 1/1

We have stayed at many vacation homes over the years but Neuse Breeze is by far our favorite. We rented the studio and couldn't have been more pleased. It was immaculately clean and beautifully furnished and the view is spectacular. The bottle of wine and delicious homebaked bread were a special treat.Loved the Keurig coffeemaker and the great selection of coffee! There was so much to do on the property, relax on the private beach, kayak, horseshoes. We felt like we were at a secluded resort yet we were only a short drive to local restaurants and shops. The homeowners were so nice and made sure that we had everything we needed for an enjoyable stay. I have already recommended this rental to family and friends. We are already planning a return trip which will be one of many. Thanks again Glen and Marianne!!! Angela & BrettDid you find this review helpful? Yes | No Helpful votes: 1/1

The studio apartment we stayed in was new, immaculate and very clean. It was just as described, and just as pictured. The homeowners were nearby, but gave us our privacy. They were very friendly, kind and helpful, making sure we had everything we needed. I would definitely love to stay here again. The banana, chocolate chip bread was delicious, the bed was very comfortable, and we especially enjoyed the sunrises and sunsets on the river. Awesome rental!Recommended for: Age 55+, girls getaway, romantic getaway, sightseeing.

The absolute best vacation in a VERY long time. Neuse Breeze is an absolutely awesome place. We stayed in the downstairs suite. Absolutely wonderful. The entire experience was great. Plenty to do right on the property- kayak, private beach, horseshoes, fire pit. Sat along the Neuse and watched fireworks on the 4th of July from 4 different locations. The most relaxing week. Very close to a lot of history as well. Minutes from Beaufort (Maritime museum was awesome). Looking forward to making a trip here again soon.Recommended for: Age 55+, people with disabilities, families with teenagers, girls getaway, adventure seekers, romantic getaway, families with young children, sightseeing.

We have rented many homes over the years and this one fit the bill exactly as it was described. A perfect great room, satellite TV, internet, air conditioning, washer/dryer and a kitchen that would suit a gourmet chef however, the view and the ocean setting sets this rental apart from many. It has a perfect beach to sit and relax, crab fish or use the paddle boats and kayaks to explore. The studio offered a great option for guests that came out to visit us while we were there. The property is well maintained and the owners are great and accommodating hosts. We stayed a month and easily could have stayed longer.Did you find this review helpful? Yes | No Helpful votes: 0/0
