This is a well-stocked (e.g. kitchen equipment, cleaning supplies, linens) and comfortable cabin for a group or family. Within easy walking distance of the South Lodge at Homewood, non-skiers can join skiers for lunch. Please note that the driveway is a bit steep and icy in winter (4 wheel drive may be necessary) and that there didn't seem to be a hairdryer available (though many other convenient appliances). We would definitely recommend this property for rental.Recommended for: Families with teenagers, adventure seekers, families with young children, girls getaway, age 55+.

We really enjoyed our stay in this cabin. It is super well-located, literally in walking distance of Homewood's South base, and a great place to stay. We were 3 families with kids and there was plenty of room with the 4 bedrooms, a great living room with a real wood stove, and a very well-stocked and equipped kitchen. It is a very welcoming properties, with great attention to details (great things like a booster seat for kids, board games, an electric griddle for pancakes, etc.). It really felt like a lived-in house, and we are very grateful we got to spend a weekend there. Definitely recommended, and we'll make sure we visit again next time we ski in Homewood!Recommended for: Sightseeing, families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway, age 55+.

This was the perfect location for our family to stay for a mini vacation. We prefer the west side of Lake Tahoe because it is less crowded, beautiful, close to a lot of outdoor activitiies, and is protected from the winds that come up over the lake every afternoon. The cabin is just a short two block walk from the lake, and is just a 3 minute drive away from the Chambers Landing Beach Club. We did not take the free shuttle bus, but saw the bus drive by the front of the cabin frequently. We loved the proximity to the west lake bike trail and there is a bike and outdoor equipment rental shop right in Homewood. There is also a great hiking trail just about 100 yards from the cabin. The trail leads you to a network of other hiking trail as well as a new mountain biking/ hiking trail that was just put in this spring. We would stay at this property again. The cost to stay just two blocks from the lake makes this one of the best values in the best area of Lake Tahoe.Recommended for: Sightseeing, families with teenagers, adventure seekers, families with young children, girls getaway, age 55+.

Two families (4 adults, 3 young boys, 1 infant) rented this sweet little house and we had plenty of room. It was very clean, all the cooking pots, pans, spoons, dishes we needed were there and easy to find. The location was great! Right down the street for Homewood, super easy to get on the slopes. The owner was friendly, responsive, and easy to work with. We would definitely stay here again.Recommended for: Families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway.

We love this place. Each time we stay here we are taken by the peaceful, serene, setting. Just two blocks off Hwy 89, it is very quiet, and there is rarely even car traffic on the street. We enjoy the front deck for barbeque and lounging. The deck on the backside of the chalet and the view out the master bedroom opens to an expansive pine forest. The chalet is quite private with little exposure to neighbors. It is close to the lake and hiking trails for summer activities and Homewood ski resort in the winter for skiing.Recommended for: Sightseeing, families with teenagers, romantic getaway, adventure seekers, families with young children, girls getaway, pet owners, age 55+.
