  We stayed here for a long weekend so I could see my uncle who was staying in Emerald Isle for a few months. Despite it being low season, the owner was one of the few that would rent to me for less than a week - so I thank her for that! We booked on short notice but because she has done this before it was easy to get everything sorted out . As for the house, it's in a great location. Just across a street (not a throughway, but really just provides access to homes) from the beach. So you can sit on the front porch and listen (and see) the ocean. It is a duplex so there could be folks right next to you - as mentioned it was low season so it was empty next door. Parking right in front. Inside the house is nicely laid out. Three good size bedrooms. The house does need some finishing touches to make it a 5-star rental. Things like resolving having all the cable wiring hanging out of a hole in the wall and the box just sitting on the floor; door knobs on the bathrooms that didn't stay on; bath tub faucet not working so couldn't get hot water to come out. Beds were not the most comfortable and could use a few new pillows but a day at the beach will make everyone sleepy enough to overlook that minor inconvienence. All minor in the grand scheme of things, but if I were staying longer would have been annoying. I would rent again if I were returning to Emerald Isle.

I think the door knob and bath tub faucet must have just needed some tightening up and they are working fine now. So come back and stay again soon! We'd love to have you.

  We sure did enjoy our stay at Emerald Isle. Our children want to back every year. Just a short walk to beach with no real traffic to worry about with kids. We got excited about seeing a sea turtle nest. Just missed seeing them going into ocean. Can't wait to see if there is another nest next year. Everything clean, owner real nice, close to aquarium, and other attractions. Beach at night was beautiful, also. Thanks again for letting us enjoy your rental. Kids loved it too!

  This property is even better than it appears in pictures and it was very clean and well-maintained. The owner was quick to respond to any questions we had while booking our mini-vacation and during our stay. I have already recommended this property to family and friends. I have rented several different properties in Emerald Isle and feel like I found the perfect one. We will definitely stay there again. Why This House is My Favorite So Far 1. The area under the house is great for kids, it is concrete and semi-enclosed. My four year old had the best time playing down there with side walk chalk! 2. The beach access is close enough, you can easily return to the house to grab a snack. ** If you stay in Emerald Isle, I recommend the Water Boggan water-slide. During our stay, the ocean was extremely rough due to a storm. We took the kids there and we relaxed while they played. They have lounge chairs, tables with umbrellas and many lifeguards on staff.

• Great Location!

  This was our first visit to Emerald Isle and we will definitely be coming back! This home is just two doors down from the beach access and is a very short walk to the beach. The home is very neat and clean and has modern furnishings. It is located where you have a short drive to either end of the island. We enjoyed Fort Macon, the aquarium, Shackleford Banks, Beaufort, mini golf, shopping, and excellent dining. If you are looking for a great value close to the beach, this is it!

  My family & I were the 1st to stay here as the new owner's guests. The location is fantastic! Accross the the street from the ocean. The furnishings are very nice! They are exactly as the pictures showed. My favorite things about this place were the front decks & the outdoor shower! It's just a short drive to golf, mini golf, go-carts, bumper boats, the NC Aquarium, & Fort Macon. I would recommend this place to anyone who was looking for a nice, clean place to stay at the beach!
