We stayed at this house for a snowmobiling vacation. It was very nice to have the attatched garage and also the pole building for our use. The house was warm and comfortable for our stay and the weather actually was pretty cold outside. We enjoyed the open space of the home for the sitting area, also the beds were very comfortable. We plan to stay at this home again for the SOO-500 race in February.Recommended for: Age 55+, adventure seekers, families with young children.

We enjoyed a great fall weekend at this home. We were very impressed that everything we needed was right in the home. A fully stocked kitchen with all the necessities to cook all of your meals right here. The house is much larger than the pictures appear, and there is plenty of room to stretch out. An added bonus is the large garage/pole barn on the property, which is very useful to tweak any of your outdoor toys. Very close walk to the shore. Would recommend this property to anyone looking for a great getaway week.Recommended for: Age 55+, families with teenagers, adventure seekers, romantic getaway, families with young children, sightseeing.

We Chose this location due to the proximity to the ORV trails we wanted to explore. We learned on the second day actually how close they were, and would return to the area again. The Iroquois Mountain/ Mission Hill is simply breath taking and the trails are wonderful. Seems like it was Miller Rd (East of the house) that we located the entrance to the trails for those that might adventure. You can be lost in those trails for hours and never be bored. We enjoyed the parking availability this house offered, since we had 3 trucks/trailers. Anyone that stays here should definitely try a fresh fish dinner at Wilcox's just a short walk to the West. I'm not a salmon person, but loved their deep fried salmon and whitefish. Can't wait to eat there again. (service wasn't friendly or considerate), but being in a small group helped compensate for that. Also, check out the Iroquois lighthouse to the East. Good times, fun memories.Recommended for: Age 55+, families with teenagers, adventure seekers, families with young children, girls getaway, sightseeing.

We really enjoyed our stay at this cottage! It has a nice beach and is private. My son really enjoyed finding rocks along the shore. The cottage has alot of room and everything we needed for a comfortable stay. This was a memory making trip for the whole family! We found alot to do in the area. The lighthouse, casinos, and the "Soo'' are not far. We enjoyed a Pow Wow with the Bay Mills commmunity. Everyone was so friendly and made us feel very welcome! Indian fry bread is addictive! The fire works were great! The Shallows Roadside Park was a great place to swim because the water was very warm, and the sand bar goes on forever. We also did some shopping and a fun ghost tour in Sault Ste Marie. We will rent this cottage again! The owners of this cottage were a pleasure to rent from!!!!! Property was in great location and convenient to all attractions and Sault Ste. Marie. We loved walking to Lake Superior and a wonderful park/playground! The beds in all 4 bedrooms were comfortable and the property offered about anything you would need including house facilities, a canoe, garage, laundry and good information from the caretaker. It was clean and well maintained. Would recommend it to people of all ages!Recommended for: Age 55+, families with teenagers, adventure seekers, families with young children, sightseeing.

We left our hot, dry home in Northern Indiana headed for the U.P. When we arrived at our house, we were a little early and the caretaker said she had a few things to finish up and had her kids show us around. They were so friendly! The house was in a perfect location. It was close to the Soo Locks and Paradise. They owned two lots and Lake Superior was a short walk from the house on their second lot(no road to cross). There was even a playground right down from the house. The house was plenty big enough for my family of four and my parents. The kitchen was well-stocked. The garage had chairs to sit on at the beach and a grill. It was clean and comfy. I couldn't believe the temperature difference! It was green and cool! We were supposed to stay only 3 nights and loved it so much we stayed a 4th. Cathy, the owner, answered all of our questions promptly! We will definitely stay again! We didn't want to ever leave!Recommended for: Age 55+, adventure seekers, families with young children, sightseeing.
