I would highly recommend this rental property. The owners were very helpful with any questions we had as well as solving any problems. The property is well maintained, clean and is more than adequately appointed with everything needed for a great vacation. We enjoyed the two neighborhood restaurants, Mar Vista and Moore's. Looking forward to a return trip in 2014.Recommended for: Age 55+, girls getaway.

We enjoyed a wonderful family vacation at this LBK getaway! The house was just as expected from the web site photos and description. The owners were available and helpful throughout our week-long stay. The house worked well for our multi-generational familjy, including our 2 young sons (ages 2 and 4) and senior parents. We especially appreciated the beach and bath toys! The kitchen was well stocked and we enjoyed many relaxing hours on the screened in porch. Nestled in a quiet residential neighborhood, we only had to walk 5 min to see the sunrise over the bay or sunset over the Gulf. We can't wait to return!Recommended for: Age 55+, families with teenagers, families with young children, sightseeing.

We had a wonderful vacation in this lovely well appointed home. Very convenient short walk to both beach and bay. Lovely pool in a private setting among the palm trees. Screened in porch was cozy to enjoy a book and glass of wine in the evening while grilling just outside on the deck. Highly recommend for families, friends, couples. We look forward to renting again next year. We typically stay at hotels for vacation and I must say this home was an excellent change of pace. Everything you need is onsite. The owner gave us great instructions and answered any questions we had very quickly. The best compliment I can give is that we felt like we were at home, but with the added benefit of a great beach location. Everything was well maintained and it seems like they had anything you could want to head to the beach or lounge by the pool. We hope to be able to return in the near future. This is a lovely Key West style house with tropical landscaping and shaded salt water pool. The owner has thought of everything for beach vacation - umbrellas, boogie boards, bicycles, plenty of beach towels. Great location for family vacation - Grandparents, parents, kids. Beach and two restaurants in walking distance. Grocery store nearby. Kitchen fully equipped with updated appliances; nice gas grill. Outdoor seating areas are great. Nice biking in historic Longboat Village. Would definitely return.Recommended for: Age 55+, families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway.

Our family stayed at this fantastic home the last two weeks of July and the first two weeks of August in 2012. This was our second extended vacation in Florida. In 2011 we rented a home in Anna Maria Island. The best recommendation I can provide is that we are booking this home again for the first two weeks of June this summer. While we enjoyed Anna Maria Island we much prefer the location of this beautiful home in LBK. The proximity to AMI and Sarasota is perfect, the quick walk to the beach is wonderful and the fact that we felt as if we were living in this home rather than staying in this home made for an ideal vacation. You'll want for nothing in this spacious home with an absolutely beautiful pool and property. We are a family of four and two of us prefer the pool while the other two are beachcombers. This home allows all four of us be perfectly content in a very short period of time. Taking the flight of stairs from the living area to the pool or the 10 minute walk to a secluded section of the beach is absolutely perfect. The owners were wonderful to work with and called us the day of our arrival to ensure we had reached this fantastic destination safely. For those of you considering this property that are unfamiliar with this section of Florida you'll be thrilled with all of the nearby options for great food and family outings. The laid back vibe of LBK or the youthful energy of AMI counterbalance each other quite will. We thoroughly enjoyed our outings to Sarasota, which offers a very distinct Florida experience. If you're considering renting in this part of Florida you'll make your entire family very happy selecting this wonderful home.Recommended for: Families with teenagers, families with young children.

We stayed in this beautiful vacation home in June 2012. It was lovely and so well stocked with all kitchen and bedroom items as well as beach bikes, chairs and much needed beach umbrellas. We have 3 teenagers and they all loved it too, especially the beautiful private pool. The public beach is an easy 10 minute walk and is one of the very nicest on Long Boat Key. Anna Maria Island is just over the bridge and shopping and restaurants are plentiful. All in all, this was one of our best family vacations. The owners were very helpful and responsive throughout our stay if we had any questions or problems. Don't hesitate, it's even nice than it looks.Recommended for: Age 55+, families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway, tourists without a car, romantic getaway.

I highly recommend this property! It is very tastefully decorated and is equipped with everything you could think of. It is also conveniently located and the beach acess is less than a five minute walk. We loved the pool and beach cruisers. Like I said that have everything there that you can think of. We will most certainly be staying here again on our next trip to Long Boat.Recommended for: Age 55+, families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway, romantic getaway.

My husband and I have been to Longboat key a few times now and have always stayed in a little condo community. When I saw this listing on VRBO I knew it was the place for us. We have a 20 month old and wanted a house with a pool and that was in close proximity to the beach. This house was perfect. The beach is a 10 min walk, but since we have a little one we choose to drive the 2 minute commute. The beach is a public beach, but it felt more like a private one. There were never more than 4 other families there at once. The water was warm and the sand was nice and clean. The house provides chairs, umbrellas and mats, not to mention the beach toys for our daughter (thank you!). Now on to the house. The house was spectacular. Completely updated with new appliances. The quietest dishwasher ever. It had a great open kitchen and dining area. The back deck overlooking the pool is where we spent most nights just relaxing and having family time. The pool was awesome. So relaxing to swim and get out to enjoy one of the many lounge areas. If there anything at all to complain about, which it would be hard to do..would be the Mosquitos. At night they were pretty vicious..but I'm sure a few tiki torches with citronella would do the trick. The bedrooms were a great size and the king beds were excellent to sleep on. The homeowners provided a pack and play and a high chair, which was great for us. The bedroom with the twin beds was a perfect size to fit the pack and play. There were baby gates in exactly the right spots. There are a few great reataurants very close. One day was spent in Sarasota at the Marie Selby botanical garden..only a half hour away. We enjoyed our stay thoroughly. We didn't want to leave. I highly recommend this place for a relaxing getaway for a young family like ourselves. We will definitely be back. My wife and I were joined by another adult couple for a week in this terrific place. While we have no objection to vacation condos, this home was tucked away in a neat little neighborhood, which gave it a real homey feel and really enhanced the relaxation experience. The home is very well appointed with a salt water pool (very cool), three bedrooms and three baths. The layout allowed for separation of the master bedroom suite from the other two bedrooms, which allowed for privacy. The kitchen is modern and very nicely appointed. There is plenty of porch/deck space for hanging out and grilling. There are a couple of casual restaurants and bars in easy walking distance for the happy hour experience, and the (very beautiful) beach is just a short walk away. We brought our bikes and used them extensively for exercise and going to the market. We are frequent travelers and frankly, no matter how much fun we're having, we are usually ready to return home after a week or so. This was not the case with our stay here. We were ready to settle in and stay for much longer.Recommended for: Age 55+, families with young children, romantic getaway, sightseeing.

We are a family of 4 from NC. We have two girls ages 13 and 15. Our family had a wondeful time at this home. The home is either newer or totally renovated using quality standards. All tile floors, tile showers, granite counters,custom cabinets, gunite pool, brick paver drive and pool deck, weber grill, teak decks, all TV channels package,new furiture and Tommy bahama beach chairs show the owners attention to quality. The home was perfectly clean. The entire property including the pool were perfectly mainatin which is always a travel concern. The walk to the beach is about 4 blocks ( five min). The beach was fairly private and the sunsets were awesome every night. The sand is white and the water is a clear blue- perfect. It is only about three blocks to the two restaurants on the bay. Moores Crabhouse is a little costly for crab. I had a blackened scallops ceasar that was great for $16. The other restaurant is less expensive but has a beautiful outdoor sitting area right on the bay. Large live oaks over the beach with decorative tables. We enjoyed seeing the peacocks as we strolled the neighborhood or went for bike rides. If you drive south a few miles just before you leave Longboat Key there is a Aquarium. I would recommend but it costs $22 which seemed a little high. It is nice but the NC aquarium at Ft. Fisher costs $8 and is better. They are private and NC is state owned. The Aquarium is worth the two hours.There is a nice restaurant/shack on the bay that has drinks and ice cream nearby. IF you drive south off key you will run directly into St. Armands Circle. High end shopping annd dining. We had several great meals here. Only 10 minutes south is Seista Key with one of the best rated beaches in USA. We went for a day and had good time but happy to return to the quiet of Longboat key. We went to Bradenton Beach Marina about two miles north. Some good dining here also. We rented a 18 ft bowrider. It was in good shape and the staff was perfect. They directed us to a huge sand bar to pull up on. We took lunch and beverages. Snorkeled and saw plenty. The sand bar is very close to the restaurants by the house. We actually went to the docks, had a few drinks and the girls ran home to use bathrooms. Saw several pods of dolphins. Great day of sun and fun. The next day we went back and rented kayaks. Another great few hours but very tired at the end of that day. The house has three nice size bedrooms each with private baths. Important to teenage girls.Recommended for: Adventure seekers, age 55+, families with teenagers, girls getaway, romantic getaway, sightseeing.

This is more than a vacation house it is truly a home, we felt as comfortable in this home as in our own, except for the fact that the weather was far better and it has a great pool. The interior is bright and well decorated the beds are comfortable and it is a great place to relax. It is located in a great walking neighborhood and has two really good restaurants on the bay (less than two blocks away). If you choose to eat in the kitchen has every imaginable pot pan and utensil to whip up a gourmet meal. You are within blocks of both the beach and the bay and very close to a great park with beautiful walking deck- paths This is our second year staying at this location, it will definitely not be our last visit, we love both the house and the location! If you are a couple looking for a romantic getaway or a family looking for a great family get together, this is the place. The owner is just a phone call away and is eager to make your visit the best ever.Recommended for: Adventure seekers, age 55+, families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway, romantic getaway, sightseeing.

We just spent the whole month of February at this amazing place and reserved it for the next family vacation as soon as we arrived! Not often you will find a house better appointed, furnished and equipped than this one, with a lush tropical garden surrounding a heated pool, in a very private setting, yet just within a short walk to the beach, two restaurants overlooking Bay and all other activities Longboat has to offer.Recommended for: Adventure seekers, age 55+, families with teenagers, families with young children, tourists without a car, romantic getaway, sightseeing.
