This complex was an awesome place for a family vacation. We hardly left the resort, as our young children were happy to play in the large grassy/treed area out the patio door, at the playground, in the rec center pool & at the great sandy beach. Everyone in the complex was friendly, and the grounds were very beautifully landscaped. We had a great time enjoying the outdoors together as a family. The unit was nicely renovated as described, and was sufficient for our needs. However, there were a few details that could've made our stay even better...due to some sort of miscommunication, we arrived to piles of linens on the floor and beds not made. The owner acted promptly when we called her, and got her housekeeper over to clean. We also found a lot of ants in the kitchen, regardless of how clean we kept it. In addition, we had to call the owner again on the second day after getting a warning on our windshield because we had no parking pass. Again, she was quick to answer and instruct us to go to the rec center to get a temporary one, thinking the previous renters forgot to leave the pass when they left. The kitchen table was also broken and about to fall apart, which was challenging with our young children, but we managed to keep it intact throughout our stay. We chose not to let these inconveniences ruin our vacation, but some improvements could definitely be made to ensure some of these issues are taken care of for future renters.Recommended for: Families with teenagers, families with young children.
Owner response: Great comments. Thanks! New table installed, got the parking pass back from the previous renters, and the cleaning fee is now mandatory so mishaps dont happen. Hope you come back again.

Nice condo with a great patio that is on the ground level. Perfect place to sit out and enjoy the warm weather and great for kids as there is lots of room for them to play on the grass. Unfortunately we encountered a high number of bugs (beetles?) in the unit and were uncomfortable with the idea of dealing with bugs all week. It's too bad as this is a great resort for families. Also, there was a good sized hole under the outside door (quarter-sized). I imagine that once this is fixed, the bug problem will be improved.Recommended for: Age 55+.
Owner response: Fortunaly the little beetles that stayed with us that first week in July are gone and wont be back! We have bug proofed the condo and havent had any since. We also spray the condo inside and out spring and fall and havent had the problem since. We also have a full time manager that handles all concerns during your stay and can fix any and all problems. We love this condo for our family and have had many great weeks out there this summer.

We had a great time staying at your condo, very cozy and comfortable. We swam every night and enjoyed the walk to the beach even when it was overcast. Can't wait to come during the summer. About the owner: HI there, we are a family of Three, and we travel with my sister-in -law and her husband all the time. This was a train ride we went on while in the Okanagan. We love Akiskinook for its simple pleasures, the beach, nature walks, the pool and tennis courts. This resort gives us the freedom to let our son to ride around on his bike, and go to all these places without our supervision so we all get a holiday. It's self enclosed area is very safe and all the owners and renters here are friendly. THis is a family resort where there is stuff to do for the whole family.
