This really is a great place to stay - warm, cosy, really nicely furnished with good quality furnishings throughout. Dany has provided a lot of local information that helped us make the most of our time in Montreal - good local restaurants, metro map, guide book to the city and such like. It was close enough to the metro station to be able to walk there with our luggage, and it felt like a home from home. The property description is accurate and the photos capture well the excellent condition of this fabulous property.Recommended for: Sightseeing, adventure seekers, tourists without a car, families with teenagers, romantic getaway, girls getaway.
Owner response: Thank you so much, I'm anxious to see you back in Montreal, much better during the summer with all the festivals all around:):):) Dany

My wife and I spent a week in Montreal. The apartment was impeccably clean, warm even on cold days, very well laid out and furnished. It was everything we hoped for for a great week in the city. Walking distance to downtown, but right in the heart of the Plateau. Dany was extremely nice and accommodating. Great.Recommended for: Tourists without a car, romantic getaway, families with young children.
Owner response: My pleasure:) Dany

The condo was wonderfully comfortable and warm during a period of record snowfall and minus 20 degrees! It had everything we needed and many more conveniences including a massive amount of storage space. Coming from abroad, the Wi-Fi saved us a lot of money. The owner was flexible, helpful and welcoming throughout, by email contact. As other have commented , it's in a great area close to a multitude of lovely independent shops, independent cinema, cafes and restaurants. Also convenient for bus and metro. It was great value in December/January. I recommend it most warmly. Highly recommend also: Aux Vivres vegan restaurant on Saint Laurent and Jardin de Panos-really cheap, popular Greek restaurant where I had the best kebab ever (filet mignon)Recommended for: Sightseeing, tourists without a car, families with teenagers, romantic getaway, girls getaway.

We loved staying at Dany's condo for our 5 days in Montreal. The trip was a gift for my 40th birthday and I was glad we opted to stay in a condo instead of a hotel. We loved having all the conveniences of home and being able to cook some meals there instead of eating out each night and we enjoyed making breakfast and coffee each morning before heading out. The washer and dryer was also very nice to have. The condo is in a great location and we were able to access 2 metro stations nearby and we were able to get wherever we wanted without needing a car. The area was a bit noisy on the Friday night we were there, but I was am not sure if that is typical. The condo is well equipped and tastefully decorated and very comfortable. The steps leading up to the condo are very steep and we did have to be careful carrying the heavy suitcases up and down. Dany was a pleasure to deal with, returning e-mails quickly and answering any questions we had. Although we tried, we didn't get a chance to meet him during our stay, but he was always there with an e-mail to check on us, attentive, but not intrusive. We would love to stay here again should we return to Montreal. Thanks Dany, we had a great stay!!Recommended for: Tourists without a car, families with teenagers, romantic getaway, girls getaway.

This apartment was absolutely perfect for our Montreal Honeymoon!!! It was in the perfect location and we didn't need a car to go downtown, to Old Town or to the Mile End. It was great to have a full kitchen and washer and dryer also available! The only downside was the steep staircase up to the unit..thankfully my fiance carried our bags up and down (and we only had to do it when we arrived and departed)!!Recommended for: Sightseeing, adventure seekers, tourists without a car, romantic getaway, girls getaway.
Owner response: Thank you Tiffany, I will try to get an elevator for your next vacation with us;) I know that there is the only problem with this condo, it is a third floor unit but so well located. Thank you very much again for your interest. Dany

Lovely apartment; everything is spotless, attractive and well appointed. Beds are very comfortable, plenty of towels for the three of us, lots of pillows available. While our stay was short, this property would be fabulous for a more lengthy stay - kitchen has all you would need including extras like spices, sugar for coffee. There's a full sized washer and dryer with detergent! Huge flat screen TV that the guys will love. Appreciated wireless availability as well. Owner was a pleasure to deal with - very responsive and obviously attentive to upkeep of condo. The neighborhood has lots of very good restaurants within easy walking distance and especially fun for young families or "girls getaway." If you are from the NYC area - the neighborhood is like the Village, Soho, Brooklyn Heights. There are two steep staircases to get into condo - one outside and one inside. I am in my late 50s (okay, very late 50s) and navigated them - but don't think I could do it in another couple of years! Parking is a bit tricky especially if you can't read French however we found an outdoor lot in easy walking distance for $15 a day. Real bargain. Enjoy your stay!Recommended for: Sightseeing, adventure seekers, tourists without a car, families with teenagers, romantic getaway, families with young children, girls getaway.

Our only hesitation in writing this 5 star review is the strong possibility that it will be even more difficult to secure a future booking! Our family (2 teenage boys and ourselves) all appreciated the location and cleanliness of this very well outfitted apartment. Our sons spontaneously announced after our first day that they "could not imagine electing to stay anywhere else in Montreal" as they were so comfortable. The residential street on which the apartment is located is on the edge of the plateau district of Montreal which is eclectic and safe, yet within walking distance of downtown Montreal shops, museums and (in our case) McGill university. The metro/subway stop is very close by for even quicker access. Multiple restaurants are just 1/2 a block away and supermarkets/drugstores etc just a bit further. A very photogenic park is just around the corner and so pretty and peaceful. The apartment is quite well represented by the VRBO photos posted and is in a charming (steep stepped but very manageable) Montreal style walk up on the top floor of a 3 story building. We had coffee on our little wrought iron balcony every morning. The washer/dryer in the apartment was a surprise and indispensable to our family. Dany is a responsive, reliable host/owner. All our emails to him were returned extremely promptly and all questions immediately answered. He was in no way intrusive during our stay and obviously cares about the apartment very much. His attention to detail is what made it the excellent place it was.Recommended for: Sightseeing, tourists without a car, age 55+, families with teenagers, romantic getaway, girls getaway.
Owner response: Thank you very much, always a pleasure to welcome nice people like you:) Dany

My father, my 7 year old daughter and I all stayed in this apartment during a recent trip to Montreal. My father had some trouble with his paypal account and Dany was patient and helpful. Upon arrival, I was happy to note that the unit was just as it appeared in photos, only better. Photos cannot adequately capture the warmth and comfort of such a clean and thoughtfully decorated apartment. In my opinion, the owners were able to stike the perfect note in terms of decore. First and foremost the unit is clean and uncluttered. It has enough personality to feel homey, yet not so much that I felt that I was intruding in someone else's personal space. As other guests have written, I could not think of anything that needs to be changed or improved. Some hightlights for us were the split bedrooms, spacious and beautiful bathroom (for a relatively small apt.), lovely little balcony and handy washer and dryer. The location is great because you really can stick close to "home" and shop and dine on the nearby walking street or venture out in many directions on easy and intesting excursions. Each day, we accessed sherbrooke metro stop by strolling down Bullion, hanging a right on the charming walking street, and cutting through the delightful nearby park (takes about 5 min, or so). The neighborhood is reasonably quiet and really safe while feeling ecclectic and in the middle of things...right where I want to be when visiting a fun and vibrant city like Montreal!Owner response: Thank you so much for your appreciation, it was my pleasure to welcome you in my unit. I would only love to have more time to meet my guests. It is so wonderful to have people from everywhere around the world that are visiting Montreal and to have the chance to talk with them. Cordialement, Dany
