We stayed a month and loved every minute of it, so quiet and peaceful. The cottage is so beautiful, nice to be surrounded by such beauty-inside and out! This quaint, cute cottage is the perfect place for one or two. Although you have to get to the cottage via a walkway around the owner's house the area of the lake the cottage is located on is private. The floating dock and canoe are great ways to spend time soaking in the beauty of Cherokee Lake. The outdoor woodburning stove is a perfect place to relax and chase away the eveing chill. Inside, the cottage is small but well designed. My favorite place to relax was in the sunroom, that has windows overlooking the lake, with a good book! The hosts are a wonderful retired couple that display true southern hospitality. (And just in case you forget an item or need groceries Wal-mart is only 10 min away.)Recommended for: Age 55+, romantic getaway.
