My wife and I spent one night at the Cabin and just loved it! We were in the area for a family reunion and spent the night before at the Cabin. The owners are just great people and made our stay outstanding! The Cabin is really nicely decorated and has comfortable beds and nice big rooms. Bathrooms are nice and clean. The kitchen had everything you need - full size frig & oven, utensils, coffee maker, etc. Another couple from Wisconsin had one of the other two rooms and on Saturday night we spent about an hour talking with them while watching a football game in the living room area of the Cabin on a nice TV. They were really friendly and we never heard a peep from them after we turned in. (Also, no noise from the adjacent highway and this was at the peak of the fall harvest.) In the morning we saw them off as they had to leave early and then made great waffles and coffee in the kitchen - all from the cupboards! The Cabin itself is a masterpiece and anyone with an eye toward construction can see the care taken in the difficult construction. The trail will be a great amenity! I would highly recommend staying here. Lots of character in this place. Much better stay than at any motel that I have stayed in. Will be back. Congratulations to the owners for a great Inn!

This cabin is very beautiful and well kept. From booking, to checking in, to taking care of all our needs during our stay, the owners did an outstanding job!!! They made us feel so cared for, and it was a refreshing stop on a very long 4,500mile road trip. Thank you sooooo much for all you did. I highly recommend this place. You sure will enjoy a relaxing stay.

I thought the cabin was wonderful to stay in. The owners couldn't have been more professional and helpful. We enjoyed the company of others in the cabin-meeting different people was interesting. We enjoyed breakfast together and went on our way.

I booked this as a Last-minute surprise for my wife and I for the weekend. I spoke to the property owner on the phone and asked some very specific questions about the home being a private home, it is not a private home, it is a DIY bed and breakfast. This property is listed in a deceitful manner, do not trust this owner. The owner offered us a one night stay rate because we drove two hours to stay at this place, we refused. We drove down the road and stayed at a country inn and suite where we knew exactly what we would get, honesty. We were told by the owner that we would be alone the following day, so when we got back on vrbo, we noticed that the availability showed as full for the weekend. This "cabin" has three areas this house people, there is nothing private about it. We spoke to a local farmer at the co-op who spoke about the owner who had a very similar story to ours. This hostel is about 50 feet off the busy highway, 10th feet off the bike trail and about 100 feet from the owners shop which sells pizza, coffee ice cream and many other things, beware.

Owner response: Since this is the first bad comment we have had in 5 years, I need to respond to it. We communicated several times during the day--since it was a last minute reservation, and I unfortunately wasn't booked--during the last call, I asked him which room they would like as they had called first and someone else had called for a room. He said it didn't matter--I waited for them to arrive at the cabin--1-1/2 hours, since he said they would be there around 7--then got the call at 8:45 that they were very unhappy. Since I understand how important get-aways are, and the cabin was open the rest of the weekend, I offered them to stay free on Friday and the rate I had told them for Saturday (which I had already put on the reservation calendar, when he said they were staying 2 nights). He did ask if it was a hostel, which I consider a place with beds and shared bathroom, and maybe a kitchen, whereas we are called an Inn. We prefer to have people book the whole cabin, but because the close proximity to the bike trail, we will rent out rooms in an Inn setting. I have changed this on our site, so there will not be any confusion in the future. We are sorry they were unhappy, but if they would have taken me up on our offer--they would of had a restful, relaxing time which they were looking for.

About the owner: Our log cabin was hand built by Ken--it took 2-1/2 years to complete. He also is very knowlegdable about the wildflowers that surround the cabin. We also run the Rose Pedaler next door and have enjoyed getting to know many people that have stayed at the cabin and visited the Rose Pedaler
Why the Owner Chose Rose Creek:
We have lived in the area for our entire lives and decided with news of the Shooting Star Bike Trail going right by, this would be a great opportunity for us.
The Unique Benefits at this Cabin:
Enjoy the solitude on the deck, or have a campfire in our firepit located by the Rose Creek. Crafters retreat across the parking lot now available.
