  The cabin exceeded the expectations and suited our needs very well. Melanie, the property manager, is a delightful person and was extremely helpful. I hope to be able to reserve the property for the 2013 hunting season.

  We recently stayed at Heiden's Hideaway. The Aspens were starting to turn color and we had great weather. This cabin was very well appointed and very comfortable for our one week stay. It was a good location for us since we split our time in the town of Bayfield and Durango. I would highly recomment this cozzy retreat.

  I recently rented Heiden's Hideaway to attend a wedding at Vallecito Lake. The place met all of my expectations and more. The house was so well stocked that we felt like we were at home rather than in a rental. The attention to detail was amazing; It had everything we needed and more. The location is beautiful and is great place to stay when exploring that part of Colorado. It is a bit off the beat and track, but well worth the effort to get there. I suggest that you pick up your groceries before arriving since the stores are approximately 20 minutes away .

  Excellent place to stay during our ventures in Durango, Ignacio and Silverton! We rode 4 wheelers in the San Juan Mountains in Durango and Silverton, what views, I would recommend doing this while your in the area! Cabin was nice and cozy, clean and friendly/helpful caretakers! The location was surrounded by trees and we saw a lot of wildlife around which was great for our 3 year old! She was amazed at the deer and a small bear! Cabin has easy acess to main highways. Really liked staying here and highly recommend it. Will definitely stay here again! Thank you Maryjo and Melanie!!!!!!!!

  We are a family of five and thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Heiden's Hideaway. It was very clean and comfortable with plenty of room. The listing description and photos were very accurate and represent the property well. Both the owner and manager were very helpful. The cabin was perfect for families like us who enjoy the days in the tourist towns and the evenings away from the activity. We enjoyed the Durango-Silverton train ride, a visit to Mesa Verde, river rafting on the Animas River and four-wheel riding in Pagosa Springs. I would highly recommend this property for couples or small families.

  Very nice, clean place, well appointed. Location is in a forest with much wildlife yet with access to main highways. Property manager is accessible and helpful. Really liked staying here and highly recommend it.

  This was a very nice place for my daughters and I to stay for the weekend. It was very clean and well maintained. We thought the pictures didn't do it justice. It was just about the right size for 4 adults. We would stay there again if we were ever in the area. The caretaker was very gracious to meet us at the bottom of the hill to show us the way up. The surrounding area was beautiful.

  I was in Durango on business for the week and I figured why stay in town, in a hotel. I should get out and enjoy the mountains and make the most of this trip. So I found this cabin a little ways out of town. It was really nice, peaceful. It was my home away from home. It had everything I needed. The cabin has wi-fi and directv and included all of the movie channels. The scenery was beautiful, there was still some snow on the ground. Unfortunately I wasn't able to bring my family, but I hope to on my next visit to Durango. They'll love it. I've recommended it to some family and friends. I hope they will enjoy it as much as I did.

  I was looking for a place to stay while visiting Durango and a friend recommended this cabin. It was perfect. Renting this cabin was less expensive than any of the hotels I was looking at in Durango! We really enjoyed the setting and enjoyed spending our evenings out on the front porch. We visited Durango, did some hiking and spent some time at Vallecito. We brought our boat and there was plenty of room for parking it. The place was clean and had all of the amenities you'd expect to find in a home. Loved it!!!

  We stayed for four nights and had such a wonderful time. I have family in Bayfield and was so happy to find this cabin. It was nicely furnished with plenty of room for our family (4 adults, 2 children). It was everything we were looking for. What a great price!!! Would love to return and will highly recommend!

Deposit: 50% due to hold reservation. Balance due 14 days before arrival.
Cleaning Fee: $150 due with balance, non-refundable
