Palm Paradise - our family's Galveston retreat condo at the Maravilla, welcomes families to our comfortable, well furnished and equipped condo. Bedroom features comfortable queen bed, bathroom access, flat panel TV/DVD wall mounted unit and soothing decor. Living area has a full-sized sleeper sofa, another TV/DVD combo, and other furnishings to allow for the family to gather together at the end of a fun day in Galveston. Kids enjoy the built in bunks offering privacy. The kitchen is fully equipped with full-sized appliances and all of the cookware, dishware, etc. you could possibly need to prepare a gourmet meal or warm leftovers from any of Galveston's wonderful eateries.
The balcony is where you will want to be! With views of the tropical grounds the Maravilla resort offers and the west pools, as well as westward view to the Gulf of Mexico.
All condos are not the same! Owners who rent their own pay much closer attention to the details that guests want in a vacation!
We tried to think of everything!
Our bedding is high quality, our towels are fluffy.
In addition to standard refrigerator/freezer, dishwasher, range & microwave - all of which are full sized (some condos offer apartment sized, or only a cooktop, mini-fridge and microwave - worth asking!) we've included many common counter-top appliances as well - coffee pot, toaster, blender (IT IS THE BEACH!), crock pot, etc.
Remember, this is our getaway as well - and we wouldn't do any less for our guests than we do for ourselves, so you'll find the condo to truly be a home-away-from-home. We are lucky to be able to have this - we should share, right?
WiFi is available at no cost in the work out room and in the office. There is a WiFi service for fee available in the condo itself as offered by most hotels. There are some free DVD rentals available int he office.
Pricing - NO SURPRISES
Don't you hate it when you make a reservation and at check-in you're told plus plus plus equals? We do, too! So we offer no surprise pricing. We include all City of Galveston and State of Texas occupancy taxes (we are required to pay these for rentals of 29 days or less. We include the cleaning fee, the laundry fee, and even one parking permit. All cars on property are required to have them and if you need extras you can buy them in the office for $10 or you can park on the Seawall. The ONLY potential extra charges are 20% surcharge for holidays and special events and if you want to pay through PayPal the 3.5% fee they charge is passed along.
Can't beat the VALUE! We compare our pricing regularly with local hotels - and there truly is no comparison. Yes, you are giving up daily maid service and maybe room service - but does that really matter on vacation or do you want more space, privacy, and the resort style vacation?

Why the Owner Chose Maravilla:
The owner of this condo grew up on Galveston island. After moving around throughout her adult life with her husband, her career, and her kids, she returned to the Galveston/Houston area and has been privileged to own rental property which she can enjoy when not rented to others.
The Unique Benefits at this Condo:
Galveston is growing! The Historic Pleasure Pier is being brought back with a carnival atmosphere,
rides, games, etc. Look for this to be completed in late May. Also, directly to the west of the Maravilla on Seawall Boulevard, the Marriott Corporation is constructing new hotel options for future visitors. Construction hours are somewhere in the vicinity of 7:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. and there is heavy equipment and at times more noise than others. Please don’t let this stop
you from coming as we have reduced our rates to accommodate for the inconvenience, even though the heaviest noise time is during the day when most of our guests are out sightseeing, at the beach, etc. The front building and some west side units at the Maravilla are undergoing a facelift with new siding and railings being installed. The units that we manage in these areas
during this time. There may be noise to some of the other units while this progress is being made. Some of the Maravilla units, likewise, are undergoing facelifts to their interiors and you may from time to time hear noise associated with that, but work hours end by early evening. Experience Galveston now, while our rates are lower!
