Great little apartment really in the center of everything. Easy access to metro, close parking garage, close to good grocery, fruit stands, and other very good stores, including great used book stores and a game store. My grandsons and I rented it for two weeks and really felt like we were living in Paris.

My wife and I just returned from a super week (Jan 2012) from Paris. The apartment we rented was perfect, couldn’t have asked for a better one. The location is just perfect, very close to the RER (“B” to and from CDG and “C” to and from Versailles) and the Metro which we took to everywhere we went within Paris. The apartment is within comfortable walking distance to the many attractions nearby (Notre Dame de Paris, Louvre, Musee D’Orsay, etc) as well as wonderful shops and restaurants in Boulevard St. Germain. There’s even a touring store just around the corner (France Tourisme) where we took a couple trips to Normandy (Mont St. Michel and Bayeaux/Omaha Beach). The apartment is so quiet even at the peak times of the day or night, it feels like you’re in the country. A grocery/department store is nearby where one can get everything (Monoprix on Boulevard St Michel and Boulevard St Germain). Thank you Marie for letting stay in your wonderful apartment, highly recommend this apartment for anyone wishing to be central to all the wonderful things in Paris!

First, I goofed the time for meeting at the flat. 15:30 is NOT 5:30, it's 3:30, so if you aren't used to the European way of telling time, double check! So that was my bad & we missed our tour & explanation of the flat, but a key was left in a hiding spot & we were in after a couple of phone calls. Owner didn't offer to come by & show us anything, but we are industrious & figured everything out including the instant water heater (the shower'd be hot, then COLD, then the heater would kick in & it'd be fine) & the dials in french on the washer/dryer. The first night we arrived we'd been all over Switzerland and Germany, so we were tired, having traveled with two kids, aged 7 and 9. We hunkered down, shopped at the local grocery store & ate food from the many, many restaurants in close proximity to the flat (but no noise at all except minor from neighbors). Unfortunately the flat had 2-3 mice who had taken up residence under the fridge/washer area & they were bold. Ran across our feet & were instantly into all of our food items & all over & in our luggage. One chewed a hole in my clothes the first night before we stopped leaving our luggage open. Some special cookies we were trying to bring home from Germany got ruined & it was very difficult, esp. with kids, to make sure there was no food out at any time. Very disconcerting to find mouse feces all over the counters & table top in the morning each day. Put a damper on our whole vacation. The owner had left "poison" but honestly the mice were never attracted to it. When questioned about this, the owner said the flat was empty for 3 days prior to our coming & they thought they'd kill them all with the poison. Had I known this was an issue (stuff happens), I would have brought some traps or poison with me that would have solved the problem in a night or two. Other than sorry, there was no attempt made to make this major inconvenience up to us. Also, there were only two small rolls of toilet paper in the flat & no additional garbage bags for the bath or kitchen garbage. Frankly, I'd rather pay an extra 20 euro & not have to go buy toilet paper or bags, so that was an inconvenience. The flat itself was perfect for our family, close to everything & quiet. So, as long as there are no mice, I TOTALLY recommend it. And by supplying just a few more amenities like more toilet paper and extra bags, even if she charges, & warning you ahead if there are mice, the owner could make staying in this flat a perfect experience

This apartment was in an excellent location, just 2 blocks from Notre Dame. The metro stop was one block away. It was quiet and well maintained. The 2 beds were good sized, for 2 teenagers, my wife and I. The owner communicated with us promptly. I would return in a heartbeat. We had a great vacation.

My husband and I had a wonderful stay here in May 2011. The apartment is one block from the RER station at Saint Michel, making transport into town from CDG airport very easy. It's a very short walk to major sites (Notre Dame, Saint Chapelle, the Louvre, Musee d'Orsay, Pompidou Center) and the Chatelet metro station - we couldn't have asked for a better location. Also only 1/2 block from many shops and restaurants. Despite the nearby buzz, the apartment is exceptionally quiet. (There was construction with jackhammers going on across the narrow street and we never noticed it while in the apartment.) The amount of space is ideal for two people. The bed is comfortable, the shower works well, and having a washing machine in the apartment is a great convenience.

My husband, daughter, and I enjoyed our stay in this lovely apartment. The location was perfect for our needs. It was so nice to be able to return to the quiet of the apartment after the hustle and bustle of the Latin Quarter. The apartment is light and airy, everything spotlessly clean with all the comforts we were looking for. Endless hot water for showers, lots of closet space. Loved the hardwood floors, skylights, and windows facing the courtyard. I would definitely stay here again.

My daughter (15) and I went to Paris for 10 days and took this apartment after reading all the reviews. I was glad to stay here. It was just as she described. The owner and I were able to communicate promptly and effectively for any questions. The best part of this house is the location-it's very close to the Notre Dame and the metro stations near St. Michel fountain. Traveling was very easy from there and an RER B metro connection to the airport was right next door. It's a cute little flat perfect for two people, near the Latin Quarter and St. Germaine so we were able to explore the area as well as explore the rest of Paris with our house in the perfect spot. We could also walk to the PNB parabas bank, Monoprix in a few minutes, walk to the market nearby to buy food, cook meals in the kitchen. The bed was very comfy, linens and towels were very clean, kitchen is high quality with good cooking dishes, you can have a great BF at home before you head out.The toilet is tiny but has a sink next to it.I loved the towel heater. there was no noise at night at all.the house is very secured and you could leave all valuables at home. We did cook dinner few times with fresh french vegetables. We took RER B train from CDG and went by CDG, we did go to Versailles twice since RER C stop is next door.We walked to LOUVRE, CONCORDE, CHAMPS ELLYSS, st german all the way to st supice. latin quarter and St Severin, Rue de buci, St. Ille louis to have BERTHILLON ice cream, but we loved AMORINO next door.I recommend these places, LADUREE Macaroons and a great dinner on Champs Elllysse, PATRICK ROGER chocolates, LA GRENIER NOTRE DAME FOR VEG FOOD, MAOZ IN LATIN QUARTER FOR FALAFAL , MARRIAGE FRERRE for tea, La Maison Du Chocolate, FAUCHON, AU BON MARCHE at Lebon Marche, CREPERE BEAUBORG at Pompidou. Dont miss watching NOTRE DAME at 11.30 pm for great illumination and walk home in 2 mins. Climb the Eiffel tower to 2nd floor at 5 pm stay for the sunset at the top and walk to Concorde for sparkly Eiffel tower.Make sure you walk along the seine river at sun set especially on ponte Neuf. All I can say that this house is in such a great location you can do lot more from here than any other location and Marie Angee was very helpful. The only negative was the hot water in the house but it is easy to fix it if she explained to you on your first day. Thank you for a great house. I will be back in 2 yrs. with my younger daughter.

My daughter and I just returned from spring break vacation to Paris. We spent 9 days and this apartment really felt like home. Location could not be better. Not being used to a Metro system I had no idea how important it is to be close to one. This apartment is only 1 short block away from the metro and 1 block from RER B which is the most convenient and direct way to transfer from/to CDG airport (8.70 Euros one-way, takes about 30 minutes). The street is extremely quiet, but it is located only 1/2 block from the River Seine and 1/2 block from Rue St. Andre des Arts, a charming commercial street with restaurants, cheap eateries, and shops. A bakery is just around the corner for fresh baguette in the morning. About 2 blocks away, across from Place St. Michel, is Rue de la Huchette in the Latin Quarter loaded which an incredible variety of cheap restaurants (many ethnic ones) - great for your budget. The apartment is on the second floor and is accessed through a spiral staircase. Having to haul our 45-50 pound suitcases up and down the stairs we were glad that we had to deal with only one flight of stairs (most of the apartments that I saw were on the 3rd-5th floors; remember, these are very old buildings, so NO elevators). The courtyard is a small patio surrounded by apartments, so don't expect a view (but you don't have to deal with street noise, which is a huge plus) . Since the neighbors' windows are fairly close we kept the blinds closed for privacy but still had plenty of light coming in through lots of skylights. Don't expect a large apartment (US style) or luxury (you can expect to pay 2-4 times more in that case), but we found the apartment/studio to be very comfortable and spacious for the two of us and well equipped with a nice size kitchenette with gas stove, oven, microwave, decent size sink, small fridge, dishwasher (did not use - faster to hand wash the few dishes that we used), and even a small washer that doubles up as a dryer. There is a small flat-screen TV, WI-FI, and free international calls to land lines (loved this feature!). Great water pressure and unlimited hot water in the shower (thanks to an instant gas water heater). Toilet stall is small, but unless you are significantly overweight or very tall it should not be an issue (plus from what I have heard this is the norm in Paris). We were lucky and got to meet the owner, Marie-Ange when we arrived. She is very nice and made us feel very welcome. Highly recommend.
