Enjoy the beautiful, rocky Maine coast from a private deck overlooking the open ocean at the mouth of the Sheepscott River. Begin your relaxing vacation as soon as you cross the swing bridge onto Southport Island. This modern house is at the end of a private road on the west side of the island and overlooks the ocean and little Christmas cove, giving you a view of beautiful sunrises and sunsets, fishing and lobster boats and pleasure boats.
There is a view of the water from every room in the house. Sounds of the ocean will rock you to sleep each night. The kitchen is newly renovated with all new appliances. A large skylight provides a cathedral effect and lots of light. The dining room and living room open out onto a wrap around multi-level deck and expansive ocean view with southerly exposure. Two bedrooms and a bath are upstairs and a bedroom, den and bathroom are downstairs. The back of the house is protected by Maine spruce and pine trees. A private dock allows space to fish or just enjoy the water. There are many walking paths just outside the door. Within a mile is a general store/deli, library, museum and school playground. Our favorite "lobster shack" is just down the road.
Within minutes you can explore the shops of Boothbay Harbor and take advantage of the many boat tours, whale watching, fishing trips or kayak rentals offered from the waterfront. Hike and bike the beautiful nature trails or explore the aquarium. Boothbay Harbor offers many dining options and also has a large grocery store if you prefer to cook for yourself.

Policies:
No Smoking in the house, please. Pets accepted with permission and pet deposit.
Deposit: half due at time of booking. Balance due two weeks prior to date of rental.
Cancellation Policy: If a guest has made a deposit and finds it necessary to cancel the reservation, we will make every effort to re-rent the house. If we are unable to re-rent, we reserve the right to retain the booking deposit.
