I have been renting in the Hamptons area for nearly 30 years now and have stayed at probably a dozen or so places over those years. The pictures and descriptions of the property are very accurate. The location is desirable as it is within a few minutes of the beach and many great restaurants and boutiques. The property was very clean and well stocked with just about any amenity you would need. This summer will be my families eighth straight year at this property and we don't contemplate looking elsewhere in the future. Also the owner has been very accessible and helpful in answering any of our questions and has made many upgrades to the property over the past seven years. I would definitely recommend the property to friends and relatives.Recommended for: Families with teenagers, girls getaway, sightseeing, families with young children.

Had an amazing time at Doug's home in East hampton for New Years Eve. It was actually very difficult finding a place to rent for just the night, but Doug was very accommodating and flexible. Home was very spacious and clean. The theater/basement is meant for total relaxation. Proximity to town/beach is ideal and the area he lives in is nice and quiet. Would definitely love to stay again!Recommended for: Families with teenagers, sightseeing, families with young children, romantic getaway, adventure seekers.

A few friends and I rented this lovely vacation home for Labor Day weekend in East Hampton. The house was beautiful with plenty of space, including a large yard and patio. We enjoyed grilling out and even watching football on the big screen in the theatre room. The home was impecably decorated and very clean. Very close/convenient proximity to the Village and Main Beach. Additionally, instructions for use of the television, garage door, etc were very helpful and easy to follow. We definitely plan on returning! Thanks, Doug and Jackie!Recommended for: Families with teenagers, girls getaway.

About the owner: I am a longtime East Hampton summer resident. When I was a child we would come here every weekend from the city. The first house we came to was an 1800's house located on Dunemere Lane. That house was sold and this one was built to replace it.
Why the Owner Chose East Hampton:
I spent all my summers here since I was a child and still feel the need to spend at least a few weeks here every summer. Since I cannot be here all summer long I am sharing the experience with other travelers.
