Located in the friendly Surf Crest Village of 'house-dominiums' (closely-set but wonderfully private units), Sea Urchin is just a hop, skip, and jump from the sparkling community swimming pool. If you're traveling with little ones, no need to pack up the pool bag every time you want to take a dip -- just step outside with a towel and a smile, and you're ready to cannonball into the water! Or perhaps you'd like to get in a few laps before breakfast? Staying at Sea Urchin is like having your own private pool just steps from your door!
Our modern, thoroughly convenient, cozy house makes you feel right at home from the moment you arrive. The open, airy living room offers a family-sized couch, wonderfully decadent easy chair, polished hardwood floors and a large TV and DVD player. Light floods in from large windows and sliding glass doors, which lead to our private, spacious deck. Go ahead, linger with drinks or a good book, enjoying the fresh sea breezes and year-round sunshine! You're at Sea Urchin now, far from the dull everyday routine!
Sea Urchin is ideal for a family, two couples, or any group of 4. The master bedroom contains a cozy queen bed with his-and-her nightstands (so that one of you can sleep obliviously while the other finishes that murder mystery or decodes just one more Sudoku!). Bathed in pastel lavender tones, this is a room just perfect for long lazy lie-ins!
The second bedroom boasts the same restful, calm color scheme. Twin beds give both people their own space, while the high-set window with adjustable shade lets you decide whether you want to be woken by natural sunlight or sleep the morning away! (It's the perfect room for afternoon naps, too, when you want a quiet, peaceful atmosphere.)
One of the true joys of Sea Urchin is the kitchen. Beautifully updated with wood cabinetry and every modern appliance, it's so fun to use! Fully stocked with all the gadgets, dishes, and servingware you could ask for, it makes dining in a pleasure. Will you be fishing on this vacation, or just visiting the local seafood stand for fresh-caught delicacies? Either way, at Sea Urchin you can prepare the catch of the day any way you like, then let the dishwasher do the work while you settle in to enjoy your favorite movie or retire to the deck to watch the sunset! Our full-sized refrigerator and generous cabinet space means that you need make only one stop at the supermarket during this vacation -- load up and enjoy frosted drinks, home-cooked meals, and tasty snacks for the rest of the trip!
Our dining table seats the whole family, and doubles as a computer stand (did we mention that Sea Urchin is equipped with free wireless Internet?) and game center. You're within a short car ride of historic downtown St. Augustine, the oldest city in America filled with pedestrian walkways with shops, cafes and first class restaurants. We are also close to Daytona Beach and the Daytona speedway and museum. We are also only a 1 1/2 hour drive to Orlando and Disney World/Universal/Sea World as well as 1 1/2 hour to the Kennedy Space Center. Our rental is also a short car ride to Ponte Vedra Beach and PGA golf Course and TPC as well as Jacksonville with the brand new St John's Town Center (with a Costco), Avenue Mall and River Front Arcade. There is also a minor league baseball team and a professional football team and stadium.
