Make sure you have your personal cook pack a cooler for you of drinks and snacks. Bring plenty of sunblock. Our area of Costa Rica is the driest in the country so sunny weather is almost guaranteed in the high season. Enjoy the 4 bedroom, 6 bathroom home and relax on the outdoor covered lanai, or the second floor balcony and read a book. Stay indoors and watch satellite TV on the flat screen. Or you can lie in bed all day in the terrycloth robes provided. If you are more adventurous rent the boat and catch a rooster fish. Ziplining and rafting is nearby. I'm actually writing this review late because I looked it up to rent again and realized I hadn't wrote one in the first place. The house is extremely nice and well laid out. The development, such as it were, consists of only a small number of lots and even smaller number of houses, such that we had great privacy. The views of the ocean from the pool were terrific. We took day trips to both Nicaragua and Lake Arenal, so this should give you an idea of how conveniently located the villa was located. I would recommend using the chef services--our meals were great. The house was consistently cleaned, the owner and on-site management were extremely responsive, and I would recommend it to anyone.Recommended for: Sightseeing, girls getaway, families with young children, adventure seekers, romantic getaway, age 55+, families with teenagers.

As described. We were looking for accomodation near the kite surfing area in northern Costa Rica and found this one. We took the all inclusive option. Five of us so more than ample space, facilities are excellent, management makes sure that all your needs are catered for. Wifi works fine. Plenty of equipment at the beach and the staff there very accomodating. Staff were so very pleasant, evrything was kept clean, laundry done daily, Wendy the cook was splendid, all food properly and scrupulously prepared and very willing to adjust to our requests and tastes. Owner was good to communicate with. Maybe some of the plumbing could be serviced otherwise it was a five star stay. Thoroughly recommendedRecommended for: Families with young children, adventure seekers, age 55+, families with teenagers.

This was our second time here at house #10. We went in April of 2008 last time. Very different landscape. It was just after the rainy season so it was very lush. There were different birds. I loved the flock of green parrots that flew over our house daily. The monkeys were still visible even with the leaves. The staff was outstanding from the maid to the chef (Carlichi- who I would request if going down) and Ricardo who made sure that our day was planned. Lucie came to the room to give us a massage. Best massage ever. Ricardo even came out on the boat with us who was captained by our Costa Rican local fisherman Jose. (Request Jose for the boat). Jose took us to a secluded area in Santa Rosa park and the kids and wife went fishing while I went spearfishing with Jose. Ricardo came on the boat and Jose had a first mate so I was comfortable leaving them on the boat to fish. Jose pointed out fish to shoot and I shot. 4 10 pound fish were speared. A 100 lb shark was shot but he got away. (not kidding). Earlier in the week I went scuba diving in Playa Del Coco. It was ok. I also rented tanks from a local diver (Frank) and dove around Playa Rajada and El Jobo on my own. Not that great. Next time I will go with Frank to Santa Rosa. We arrived at our Recreo home late in the evening due to our travel schedules and expected to end our travels with a snack before bed. We were instead greeted by two absolutely wonderful chefs who were preparing us a 4 course meal to make sure we were welcomed appropriately! How cool is that?! We awoke the next morning to what looked to be a paradise. The house was fabulous and the property was beathtaking. Throughout our stay we were constantly amazed by the level of service we received from the staff. One of our favorite spots was the Mountaintop Cantina. Without the golf cart its quite a hike but worth every step. The view is unbelievable and it's a great spot to gather for either dinner or an afternoon cocktail. We worked with the on-site Concierge to coordinate a couple of wonderful secondary day trips which were hugely successful. They took care of every detail including the customs details at the Nicaraguan border. It's the perfect place to escape. No matter what you're looking for they can accommodate. "This was the most unbelievable vacation we ever had. We stayed at Villa #10 and had a 4 bedroom, 6 bath house. It had a very large lani overlooking the water, we spent alot of time enjoying the beautiful views. It is a very large house, with big bedrooms and a big living room. We took our own golf cart to the beach and went exploring everyday. The best part was the cook, she would cook us an authetnic costa rican meal every day for breakfast, lunch and dinner For the first time my kids ate fish for dinner and beans for breakfast.
