  We had a very nice stay at Dot's in Custer. After staying in motels for the first part of the trip, it was good to have room to spread out and have a real kitchen. Dot was very easy to deal with and did extras for the cottage. For example, there isn't a washer and dryer there, but there is a good laundramat in town open evenings. Dot had 2 big laundry hampers and soap for us to use. Custer was a good location from which to explore the Black Hills area. Custer State Park, Wind Cave and Jewel Cave were all nearby. We had a great time.

  What a lovely place you have here. We thoroughly enjoyed ourselves this week. This is a beautiful area and we are so glad we came and very thankful we found your place to stay while here.   We are here right now! It is a charming two bedroom house--kind of like visiting grandma's house. It is clean and comfortable. We were delightfully surprised by finding the best stocked kitchen ever in (our)VRBO history! There are many spices, brown sugar, flour, sugar, waffle/pancake mixes, cold bottled water--I could go on and on!. I also appreciate her house rules: no smoking and no pets. Our children have pet allergies and we appreciate a safe place for them and their lungs. Dot is a delight herself and we are so happy to have found this home.

  The cottage was very clean and living areas were roomy for a two bedroom. The location was great, just on the edge of town with amazing views of the golf course and the little lake across the road and the wilderness beyond. We loved having coffee out on the back porch each morning reading and watching the deer and the birds. We would definitely stay here again.

  Very charming and relaxing , lovely view of the lake and golf course was in walking distance Was close to everything for sightseeing. I would for sure stay here again.
