Taos condo description

Perfect downtown location: explore the area, art, museums, or ski during the day, relax in the bars & restaurants in the evenings. We're an easy 10 minute walk to the town centre and Plaza. A short 30-minute drive to Taos Ski Valley.
This is a quiet and serene home set in a favourite small Taos community with beautiful gardens. If you're looking for a calm and welcoming place to relax and recuperate, this is it.

The decor is a meld of contemporary New Mexican and Morrocan, with soothing colours and interesting features throughout.
The large living and dining room has a wood-burning kiva fireplace - creating a cosy and romantic feel for your evenings at home. There is a private walled deck leading off, with a patio table and chairs where you can enjoy a drink while watching the local birds swoop around the pond.

The master bedroom has a very comfortable queen bed and a full bathroom with jacuzzi tub - just turn on the music and relax! There is a small deck off the master bedroom and a large walk-in closet.
The second bedroom has two twin beds - and morning sunshine. It has its own door into the second full bathroom with an enclosed shower unit. This bathroom is also accessible from the hallway.
All the beds have luxurious European-style duvets: valued because they are warm in the winter, yet light and cool in summer.

The kitchen is fully equipped for cooking your own meals if you don't feel like strolling into town to eat. As well as pots, pans, baking dishes, and coffee maker & presses, there's a rice cooker and a slow cooker/crockpot. The kitchen doesn't currently have a microwave.

The lovely landscaped grounds are reminiscent of an English garden, and are shared by all the units - a perfect place to read a book or enjoy a glass of wine (or maybe both!)
Wi-fi internet access (password will be provided) is provided free of charge by a neighbouring unit, and can also be accessed for a little way outdoors.

This property is in a quiet, shaded area near the plaza. The walk to the plaza is short and shady and the condo itself is a lovely retreat. The walk-out second story deck felt like being in a large quiet tree-house. The fresh bread, butter, milk, chocolates and wine made us feel we were welcome friends. Everything we could have needed was there in the condo; books, games, cds, as well as all the usual hotel amenities such as nice towels, soap, shampoo and conditioner. The bedding was better than any I have ever experienced; crisp cotton duvets covering fluffy feather comforters. The kitchen was fully equipped with water-boiler, coffee maker, full-sized fridge, oven and stove-top. (i did not see a microwave) This would be a great place to stay for a week or two because of the beautiful kitchen.

Manager response: Thank you so much Emily, we're happy that you enjoyed your stay with us, and that we succeed in our aim to make you feel you're staying with friends, rather than an anonymous rental! We look forward to your return visit. Lise and Nick

My wife and I spent a long weekend in this property with another couple. When we entered we were immediately charmed by the large living room with its corner fireplace. The bedrooms, baths, and closets were generous and everything was spotless. The kitchen was superbly equipped with everything that you might need unless you are lost without a microwave or an espresso machine (we were not). The owner even stocked the kitchen with bread, milk, and wine for our arrival. The location of Casa Albion is hard to beat. We never heard traffic noise and rarely heard neighbors. We walked everywhere from here: galleries, Mabel Dodge Luhan's famous house, the plaza, restaurants...everywhere but Taos Pueblo! Lastly, illnesses and other circumstances required multiple changes in our reservation dates. The owner/manager was gracious and helpful beyond compare in accommodating these changes.

This lovely condo is a short walk to Taos Plaza, which is the heart of one of most lovely towns in the US. Furnished to high standard, with all mod cons, and with the enormous benefit of two bathrooms, we were extremely comfortable for our week. Initially I was a bit concerned that ceiling fans would not keep me cool enough but I was wrong. I would not hesitate to recommend this to anyone and I hope to return there myself sometime next year.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this lovely Taos condo. The setting with the pond and gardens was very peaceful. It was a joy to take the short walk to the fabulous hotel the El Monte Segrado and to use their beauty and spa facilities, and also to be able to walk into this fascinating town, full of amazing art and excellent restaurants. With the many interesting place around to visit and the spectacular drives to be taken we will certainly be going back.

I stayed in this condo in February 2009 and it was a great experience. It is centrally situated for the town, very quiet and has all you need for a fantastic base for your vacation. It is close by the El Monte Sagrado, a superb hotel that has great facilities and an even better restaurant, this is a definite plus for your stay in Taos.

                      Year Purchased: 2003

About: We live in England, and discovered Taos many years ago. This has been our perfect 'pied-a-terre' when we visit - which we do regularly now we're retired. We're seasoned travellers and know what it takes to make you feel at home in our home!

                      Why Taos:
Taos is a magical place, it has a very special energy all of its own, which we feel every time we come. There is so much to do here, and the people are welcoming and friendly.

The Unique Benefits at this Condo:
We love that the condo is such an easy walk to town - especially after enjoying a meal at one of the wonderful local restaurants. An added bonus for us and our guests: The lovely El Monte Sagrada spa and resort is just around the corner, offering spa treatments, a welcoming bar, and top class restaurant - all reasonably priced!
