We drove to Fort Lauderdale from Ottawa, Canada. We rented the house for a month and have enjoyed the premises during the entire time. The house is kept in excellent condition and everything is done by the proprietor for excellent maintenance. The pool is certainly a great feature in this house and it gives the property the feeling of an oasis. The house is very well furnished and has wonderful art in all rooms. The house is very close to Publix, Whole Foods and many other stores for provisions. It is a very quiet and pleasant neighborhood. We definitely would rent this house again when it is available. Thank you to the owner for the making of a great vacation by allowing us to be in a charming house.Recommended for: Adventure seekers, age 55+, girls getaway, romantic getaway, sightseeing.

We spent the month of February 2012. The property was beautiful, kept impeccably, furnished beautifully with fabulous tropical landscaping. The pool and deck were worth all of the hours we spent there. This is in a very nice, quiet neighborhood close to everything. Everything was exactly as "advertised." the Property was spotless when we arrived and our deposit was returned immediately. One of the joys of Ft.Lauderdale is that there is so much culture and we took advantage of performances in Ft. Lauderdale but it is close enough to Miami that we went there several times as well. We went sailing one day, on an airboat in the Everglades, swimming, beach walking and sitting on our butts by the pool. Saw lots of good movies. Ate at great restaurants. We had friends visit each weekend and all raved over the property. The first of the month it seemed that a month was forever but suddenly it was over and here we are on our way back to the cold. You would be very happy there.Recommended for: Age 55+, families with teenagers, girls getaway, romantic getaway.

Truth in advertising is a good thing. Casa Tropical was well-priced, well-maintained, clean and comfortable, well-stocked from linens and towels to kitchen equipment to TV's and WiFi internet. Positiv: Wohn- und Schlafräume sehr geschmackvoll und hochwertig eingerichtet/dekoriert und relativ gut gepflegt, Küche vollständig und gut ausgestattet, sehr schöner tropisch-angelegter Garten mit großem beheizbarem Pool und edlen Korbmöbeln (sowie weniger ansprechenden weißen Plastikmöbeln), viel Privatsphäre, angenehme/gut-bürgerliche Wohngegend, sehr nette Nachbarn, viele Einkaufsmöglichkeiten in der Nähe. Negativ: Badezimmer eher alt und schlecht gepflegt (Schimmel in den Fugen, rostige Ablagen in den Duschen, Seifenreste vom Vormieter in der Dusche, verkalkte und nicht verstellbare Duschköpfe, schmutzige Fensterrahmen, Spinnweben), Bettdecken und Kissen werden offensichtlich nicht regelmäßig gereinigt (Flecken vom Vormieter! Die Laken waren jedoch sauber.), Grill auf der Terrasse sehr unappetitlich (wurde auch nach dem Reinigungsversuch durch den Raumpfleger nicht besser) und wurde deswegen von uns nicht genutzt. Entgegen der Darstellung in anderen Bewertungen haben wir die Lage nicht als "absolut ruhig" empfunden, da tagsüber im ca. 5-Minutentakt Flugzeuge über das Wohngebiet fliegen. Fort Lauderdale Downtown/Strände in ca. 7 - 10 Autominuten erreichbar. Sehr gut sortierte Supermärkte in ca. 2 - 5 Minuten erreichbar.Recommended for: Age 55+, romantic getaway, sightseeing.
Owner response: The other 13 reviews are reflective of the high caliber that this property is. I'm always open to suggestions and criticism and will continue to strive to make this one of the premier vacations properties on the vacation rental market.

My wife and I recently returned from the best 5-day getaway we've ever had. We were celebrating our 23rd anniversary and we really wanted it to be extra special - it was that and much more. Starting with the bottle of champagne and anniversary wishes waiting for us on the table upon our arrival, ending with allowing us to stay a bit longer when our flight was delayed, the owner Michael along with the extremely helpful caretaker, John, gave us a vacation we will always cherish. Thank you both so much !! The home is beautiful, immaculately clean and it is quite obvious when you step in the door that it is maintained and upgraded regularly. The technology is state of the art and the entire pool area especially the pool itself is actually nicer and more delicious than the pictures indicate, if you can believe that !! All in all, you WILL NOT be disappointed and will most likely have the time of your lives in this gorgeous home. Thanx again Mike and John for everything.Recommended for: Romantic getaway

sehr gechmackvoll eingerichtetes haus mit vielen kuenstlerischen highlights, die einiges von dem eigentuemer verraten, der ein weltreisender sein muss .... sehr ruhige wohngegend mit toller poolanlage im gewachsenen garten; alles laedt zur ruhigen entspannung ein und man kann in kuerzester zeit dem alltagsstress entfliehen und die sonne und die zeit insgesamt geniessen. alles was man so braucht (restaurants & supermarkt & shops) ist leicht erreichbar. ein aufenthalt ist sehr zu empfehlen !Recommended for: Age 55+, romantic getaway, sightseeing.

My husband, and I just returned from a one month stay at "Casa Tropical"... This home was the most wonderful rental home we have ever experienced. First, and foremost the owner "Michael", made sure we felt comfortable, and well taken care of. It was such a pleasure to meet, and do business with Michael... The home is immaculate, as well as well decorated to ensure a peaceful atmosphere. The kitchen is well equipped, the linens are plentiful, and of good quality. We already miss the comfortable bed! The pool, and garden area is an oasis. My husband, and I enjoyed each morning starting our day with a leisurely coffee time out by the pool, not to mention wonderful dinners at dusks... The pool was a real bonus - we enjoyed sunning, and being able to take a dip daily. The neighborhood is well established, and feels very safe. The location of the home is close to the beach, shopping, and tons of great restaurants. I would be remiss if I did not mention "John" the property caretaker. John lives nearby, and is there to help out if any problems should occur. He was so pleasant , and helpful during our stay. A big thank you, goes out to John! To sum up - my husband, and I felt as if "Casa Tropical" was a real home away from home... We most certainly will return to this beautiful rental home. A perfect house - it really is like a little oasis. Everything is in good condition, and well maintained, and furniture and equipment are good quality. Lots of extras that you don't get in many rentals - for example the kitchen really is fully equipped with everything you need, and you don't need to buy anything except food (which is really different from some rentals I have stayed in). The owner is a pleasure to deal with. The pool area is beautiful - but be aware that the pool is not heated which is the one drawback to the house: it looked very pretty during my Christmas/New Year stay but was icy and unusable.Recommended for: People with disabilities, age 55+, families with teenagers, romantic getaway, sightseeing.

That's the best compliment one can give. The place is beautiful inside and out, clean, and close to all amenities. We truly appreciated the responsiveness of the owner, who met us at the house on the first day. The pool and landscaping makes for a very luxurious and private environment.Recommended for: People with disabilities, age 55+, families with teenagers, families with young children, romantic getaway.

My husband, I and our two kids spent a week in Ft. Lauderdale. We had such a great time and would love to go back there again! The house was very nice, charming and fully equipped in a good neighborhood. Everything was immaculate. We felt very comfortable and cosy at the house and had lovely evenings on the beautiful patio with a swimming pool. The owner is a nice person, who helped us and suggested good things to do.Recommended for: Families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway, romantic getaway.

Thanks to my wife, who serched the net to get a place to be in Florida. This place is awesome. Beginning with a very nice welcome from the friendy owner, the well furnished and fully equiped house to the beautiful back yard with pool. Everythink you need - totaly enjoyable. Highly reccommended. We will come back and stay much longer.Recommended for: Age 55+, families with teenagers, families with young children, romantic getaway.

We lived for two weeks in this awesome house and enjoyed our vacation. We are from Germany and came with our little boy to Fort Lauderdale. The house and the yard with the pool are absolutely beautiful. The owner, who is a very very friendly person, came over to welcome us at our arrival. We already have been to Fort Lauderdale a couple times and this house is by far the best one we have rented. Hope the house will be available for our next stay, maybe next year!Recommended for: Age 55+, families with young children, romantic getaway.

My wife and I stayed there 2 weeks last summer with our 4 months old baby. The house is great, well furnished and located in a very charming neighborhood – at less than 10 minutes from the beach. The yard and the swimming pool are great and the patio is also a great place to enjoy lovely barbecues. Last but not least, the owner is also very friendly, efficient and reliable. Highly recommended.Recommended for: Age 55+, families with young children, romantic getaway.

My wife and I stayed at this house and thouroughly enjoyed our week. It"s very convienent to everything. The house is beautifully maintained and the backyard pool area is stunning. It's very private and quiet. The only problem was we had just 1 week. Would have loved to spend another. Maybe next year?Recommended for: Age 55+, romantic getaway.

We had a great time there. The house is very nice and ready to provide you everything you need. The owner is very friendly and nice person too, spent a good time with him talking one evening. The pool is lovely and the whole backyard just makes your stay enjoyable. Next time we're on holiday in the US, we'll definitely try to rent this house again.Recommended for: Families with young children, romantic getaway.

My wife and I spent 2 lovely weeks at this home. Without a doubt this is one of the better homes you'll see on the rental market. Perfect for 1 or two couples or a samll family. It's absolutely beautiful inside and out. We enjoyed our coffee poolside in the morning and dined under the stars in the evening. It's close to everything, five minutes to the beach and plenty of restaurants and shopping very near by. This property will be a regular for my wfe and I. It was nice to be out of the UK gloomy weather and enjoy the Florida sunshine.Recommended for: People with disabilities, age 55+, families with young children, romantic getaway.
