We had a lovely ski weekend in Sugarbush. The cabin is close to the mountain and convenient to other popular local spots. Tom left very thorough, detailed instructions of how to open & close the cabin. Sleeping arrangements work well for a family or a group of friends. Kitchen is neat, organized and well-stocked. Definitely recommend renting!

Owner response: We do like to brag about Location, Location, Location. You can walk to the golf course 1st tee and you can almost walk to skiing if you wanted to, it is just a mile away. Restaurants and bars are also close by our quiet secluded home.

We had an absolutely perfect winter weekend at your Vermont home. Driving up through the mountains, you really do feel like you're leaving it all behind. The house is very charming, clean, and organized and the location is ideal--minutes from both Sugarbush and the main street in town. After breakfast and browsing at The Warren Store, we enjoyed a few hours of X-country skiing at Ole's. The weather was cool but sunny and we felt like we were skiing through a Vermont calendar! Saturday night we went to Tracks at The Pitcher Inn for a delicious meal and several rounds of table shuffleboard. It was a great getaway and we would definitely love to return. Thank you for your hospitality.

Owner response: Yes The Warren Store and The Pitcher Inn are very memorable with their funky gifts at the Warren Store and incredible food and service at the Pitcher Inn. Oh Yea less than a mile away!

Great owner who really tried to help us southerners orient ourselves to Vermont in the pre-ski season late fall. The house is prepared and ready for action. We rented while attending classes at the Yestermarrow Design Build School. Just up the hill from the basement bar relaxed dining in front of the fireplace at the Pitcher Inn.

Owner response: Our house is not only close to fine dining at the Pitcher Inn in scenic Warren village we are also located very nearby Sugarbush legendary restaurants Chez Henri and The Common Man.

This place is great- you can do as much or as little as you want, even if it's just hanging out and enjoying the atmosphere of Vermont. The town is very accessible and you really get the feel of Vermont. The house has everything you need to be comfortable and has a great view of the Mad River Valley. I went up with a few friends and had a great, relaxing time. Lots of space to stretch out and feel the Vermont air. Would definitely recommend to anyone- be it a family or a group of friends!

Owner response: With recent pruning of trees around the house you can really get the beautiful views of the Mad River Valley.

The house was very well stocked with kitchen pots and pans, and we cooked every dinner there. The queen bed is HARD, and there was not any toilet paper which was a rude surprise upon our arrival though a quick trip to the local store fixed that. However, those are the only negatives. The spot is secluded, yet close to shopping, hiking, tourist attractions, and lots of swimming holes. We had a blast and having a cozy house to come back to at the end of long adventure-filled days was great. Having a washer and dryer was a definite plus as we traveled with our 3 kids.

Owner response: Everyone loves the kitchen. It is very easy to prepare meals as everything you need is right there. No toilet paper is EXTREMELY rare. The house was booked back to back to back so we could not get in to check supplies. Yes our brand new queen bed is firm.

We wanted to rent a house instead of individual rooms at the mountain at Sugarbush, VT this winter. We wanted to have a more homey feel and to have the evenings to enjoy each other's company after skiing and chose this house for our trip. We found all this at this house that we rented for the first week of January this year (2012). The house that we rented was an A frame with a large family room attached. There was a well stocked kitchen with all appliances and pots and pans and dishes. The dining area was open to the kitchen and then open to a living room space with a sofa, recliner, rocker and a nice cozy fireplace. There was a second large gathering room on the first floor with two twin beds and a sleeper sofa, television, etc. - perfect for our two college aged children and two of their friends to hang out together. There was also a full bath on the first floor. Upstairs was a room with a queen bed, a second room with two twin beds and a full bath.It is perfectly suited for eight quests. Everything was neat and clean when we arrived. I can't speak of the restaurants in the area as we did all our cooking for eight at 'home'. The kitchen and dining room worked out well for this. My husband and I, and my parents were comfortable in the living room chatting by the fireplace, while the four teenagers had a great time making puzzles and playing board games in the family room while watching a movie. Six of our party skied at Sugarbush for two days which was only minutes from the house, and then over at Bolton Valley nearby for the other two days. My father and I who do not ski because of knee injuries hung around the fireplace in the days and just visited. It was a comfortable place to spend some time together days. We rented at Sugarbush before at a bed and breakfast last year, but this house was so much more intimate and appealing for a larger group of eight. The owner and I had written back and forth about questions, and he was always responded via Email the same day, and we spoke on the phone once and he was always able to answer my questions fully. I would recommend this highly for a friend or relative. We will be renting this over the college January break next year for sure.

Owner response: As described in the review the house works very well for young adults and adults as well. Though we sleep eight as owners we always have felt that a party of six works best. Yes you truly can cook to your hearts delight in our well stocked kitchen because as owners we always do because we love to cook. New lighting this year makes for perfect reading or mood lights in our living room.

We have visited this house for many years now. It is our favorite place to get away and have peace and quiet. It is a beautiful house nestled in the woods but close to everything you need. There is nothing like going out on a starlit night and having no lights around you, no noise except for nature and enjoying nature's show. I guarantee you will see stars that you never knew existed. The house itself is very well equipped even for those of us who enjoy cooking. The kitchen is great and easy to use. The beds are comfortable with several different sleeping areas so everyone can have their own space. Two baths make getting ready in the morning much more relaxing. The washer and dryer are really nice to have for extended stays. I can't say enough about the house or the owners. It's exactly what it says it is and the owners are great to work with. We are going up again in about a month and can't wait. Enjoy your stay! AP

Recommended for: Families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway, romantic getaway, sightseeing.

Owner response: Our guests have come back time and again. We hope you will enjoy our house your first stay and then join the returning guests.

Staying in this charming, clean and comfortable A-frame is like being in your own home -- with its well-equipped kitchen, large bench-style dining room set, and comfortable living room. Bedroom & bath facilities on each level provide privacy, making this a perfect place for couples or families traveling together. Downstairs bedroom/TV room is huge, upstairs rooms more cozy, with good mattresses throughout. Convenient location too -- Sugarbush ski area is just one mile away. (We visited in March, and skiing was great). Also close by is a charming downtown area with nice restaurants and shops, and a public golf club. Our next visit will be in summer or fall for biking in the neighborhood (gorgeous mountain scenery!) and hiking on the nearby Long Trail. We definitely recommend this place!

Recommended for: Adventure seekers, age 55+, families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway, pet owners, romantic getaway, sightseeing.

Owner response: Thanks for the review. We are always happy to have returning guests have a pleasant warm stay.

This Classic Vermont home is a great mountain getaway for all seasons. The location couldn't be better as it is a mile from Sugarbush and a few hundred feet from the Sugarbush Country Club; as well as access to hiking and fishing all over. Not only is the house comfortable for relaxing after a day on the trails or on the course, but it also is very conducive for an enjoyable dinner, drinks, and night at the home. The first floor bedroom offers additional seating for hanging out and watching TV. The house offers everything you'll need from a full service kitchen, 2 full bathrooms, and a back deck to grill on. Otherwise, there are multiple great restaurants in Warren or a short 10-15 minute drive to Waitsfield. Great house for couples or a golf and ski group of friends. Don't miss out on a chance to grab breakfast out on the deck by the river at the Warren Store. Can't wait to be back. When we think of Vermont, its locations like this that come to mind.

Recommended for: Age 55+, families with young children, romantic getaway, sightseeing.

Owner response: We always appreciate reviews that mention the "Four Season" resort that Sugarbush really is. And thanks to mentioning that our house has Location Location!

Take a deep breath of fresh Vermont air, and leave all that you can behind! You can't help but relax, and focus on unhurried time for yourself, your spouse, and/or your family, when you enjoy the simple, functional layout of this home. We have visited on several occasions, and find it to be a perfect spot. We have come here to enjoy the house itself, nestled in the woods, as an oasis - hardly leaving - simply enjoying the quiet space, a good book, maybe an afternoon nap. The chill of autumn nights makes it even more appealing to keep cozy inside with hot cider by the fireplace! Our family has also stayed at this home to take advantage of its proximity to biking, hiking, shopping, movies, and yes, great food everywhere. Whatever direction you drive from the house, you find yourself amidst beautiful mountain vistas, lush country farmlands, and covered bridges. The region is all different enough... 'Vermonty', we say(!) that our children find it a unique and fun place to be. The local school, just a 5 minute drive, has an amazing playground with many structures - for young ones to run and expend energy! We highly recommmend not only experiencing this part of Vermont, but certainly this home for it's LOCATION, FUNCTION and SIMPLICITY!

Recommended for: Age 55+, families with teenagers, families with young children, romantic getaway, sightseeing.

Owner response: Fall truly is special in the Mad River Valley. From our house you have vistas of mountains and valleys. Hike, walk and enjoy the beauty.

This is a very nice rental property with a location that's near a lot of activities, but it's tucked in a nice secluded location. Near the ski area and the golf course, it's a great place to stay for a week or a weekend. My wife and I enjoyed the Fourth of July here last year and plan to stay many more times. Better book it before we do!

Recommended for: Adventure seekers, age 55+, girls getaway, sightseeing.

Owner response: Yes location, location is what our home is all about. Walk to golf and mere minutes to skiing. If hiking is your thing 15 minutes to the Long Trail at Lincoln gap.
