Welcome and we hope you enjoy our Ocean View Cardiff Beach home. We truly are lucky to be in one of Cardiff’s sweet spots. Our Ocean Views are massive! You can watch Dolphins playing in the surf around 5 pm nightly.
Our 3 bedroom, 2 bath home has 2 King beds, 1 Queen & 1 Twin. Our kitchen is fully equipped for pretty much anything you will want to grill up. You will enjoy dining out on our ocean view patio. You will want to eat all your meals here!! It is hard to find a better view at any of the local coastal restaurants…so, we typically cook at home.
The living space is spacious and comfortable with lots of windows, a fireplace, flat screen TV, DVDs, surround sound. Stay home and relax. There is also a game room equipped with air hockey and a large backyard with a nice lawn for outdoor recreation.
It takes minutes to walk down to the beach for a nice walk in the sand or walk, run or bike along the boardwalk that runs parallel with the shore.
Need a place during the Del Mar Races?
Our favorite Local Cardiff restaurants are within walking distance (.5 miles) ~ Wine Steals Rimels, Zenbu, Pipes, VG’s Doughnuts, and Beach House. If your feeling ambitious and are up to a larger walk (1 mile) to downtown Encinitas to an even larger assortment of great restaurants, bars and shops.

Within 15 minutes ~ The Del Mar Race Track, Belly Up Tavern, Solana Beach/Cedros District, Torrey Pines, La Costa Resort and Spa, Legoland ~ Within 30 minutes ~ Downtown San Diego/Gaslamp District, Sea World, San Diego Zoo, Wild Animal Park, La Jolla ~ ~ ~ The Train Depot close by in downtown Encinitas (1 mile) and this can take you to downtown San Diego.
Other Points of Interest ~ Balboa Park, Old Town USS Midway and the Star of India sailing ship, Point Loma, Coronado Island and the Hotel Del Coronado.

My old college roommates and I rented the Cardiff home in April and we had a wonderful time! The view is great and the beds are very comfortable. The location is perfect for what we were looking for. I would recommend staying here anytime!Recommended for: Romantic getaway, families with teenagers, girls getaway, adventure seekers.

We had a great time at this house. We were able to walk to Cardiff and Encinitias. The beach is across the street. The patio has a gorgeous view and a really nice grill that we were able to use. The neighborhood is safe and very quiet. We can't wait to go back.Recommended for: Families with young children, romantic getaway, families with teenagers, girls getaway.

We can't wait to come back. The house is gorgeous and is in a wonderful, quiet neighborhood. We walked to Encinitas and Cardiff because the house is close to both. Beds were very comfortable and there were tons of plates and cups. Great location if you want to have people over. We were able to grill on the lovely patio.Recommended for: Families with young children, age 55+, romantic getaway, families with teenagers, girls getaway.

My family and I rented the 1544 Summit home in September and had a wonderful time! The place was spotless and very clean (even to my neat freak standards) and very comfortable! We were pleasantly surprised to find it so well appointed with quality furnishings and textiles (bedding, towels, etc). We also did not expect the koi pond and air hockey table which provided great entertainment for our kids. My 3 year old loved to watch the fish swim and feed them daily. The views of the sun setting over the water and proximity to amenities were also added bonuses. I would highly recommend the for a fun, relaxing getaway in the beautiful area of Cardiff by the Sea. My wife and I rented the 1542 Summit home in August and had a wonderful time! Seeing the sun set along the ocean along with all of the fun activities in the area, it was completely relaxing. Our Daughter, Son-in-law, and two Grandchildren joined us for the week. The home was very comfortable and had all the amenities needed. We enjoyed looking at the ocean while we were grilling. Many fun activities are close by and there is a great local shopping center within walking distance. I would highly recommend this home for a fun, relaxing getaway in the beautiful area of Cardiff by the Sea. We can't wait to return! Loved it!!Recommended for: Families with young children, age 55+, families with teenagers, sightseeing.

We decided to have a last minute 'getaway' vacation before the kids' school year start again and found this place on line. It was everything that I was expecting (close to the beach, great restaurants) and best of all, it's all within walking distance. We spent several days relaxing at the beach and came home to catch a beautiful sunset. The view was absolutely breath taking !!!! The place is beautifully decorated and the ammenities are perfect (I especially like the big screen TV) and best of all, the owner has cable with HD service (things that are near and dear to me !) . So it was just like home! My wife had to pry me out of that sofa (LoL). I rarely write review, but I felt that I must after staying at this place. We will definitely keep this place in mind in future 'getaways'.Recommended for: Families with young children, age 55+, romantic getaway, families with teenagers, sightseeing.

Absolutely Perfect for our family of 5! Beautifully appointed house with comfortable beds and a great kichen/dining/living area that looks out over ocean. Unobstructed view of Ocean from deck with early morning dolphin "parade". Quiet, very quaint neighborhood, yet only 30 minutes from SAN Airport and incredible easy access to Del Mar, La Jolla, Encinitas, Carlsbad, etc. Great beach access and you can walk through the beautiful neighborhood to the quaint neighborhood shopping center across from beach where there is an INCREDIBLE grocery Market, Starbucks, Smoothie shop, workout facility, restaurants, etc. I could go on and on. The hosts, as well as the entire community (even the surfers) could not have been more friendly and gracious. For you surfers --- it is a Great Surfing spot with a fantastic local surf shop. Counting the days when I can return!!!!!Recommended for: Families with young children, romantic getaway, families with teenagers, adventure seekers, tourists without a car, sightseeing.

We stayed at the Cardiff location. It was very relaxing. The views breath taking, and the ammenties on the property was well thought of. The beds were so comfortable, the decor very tasteful. Location was perfect!! Our family of six (parents and 4 teens) had a wonderful stay. The home is clean, well-appointed and perfectly situated above the activity of the beach but only a bit of a walk away. The owners are close by and responded immediately to our trouble getting the big TV to work. Beach mats and chairs are provided - plenty of linens, too. I would suggest a supply of board games and puzzles. Oh, and a pizza cutter. :) The short drive to San Diego worked great for us, driving teens to/from Comic Con, and we visited Sea World. Grocery store and library are very close. We had a great time in a lovely home.Recommended for: People with disabilities, age 55+, romantic getaway, families with teenagers, adventure seekers, sightseeing.

Beautiful ocean view and lovely, immaculate home. We played all day and came home to cook and relax in comfort at night. Quick and easy access to all activities in and around San Diego. Saw dolphins in the morning. We accidentally left an item behind. We called the owner and she immediately resolved the problem. Best place we've ever stayed! ~Family of four with teenagers.Recommended for: Families with young children, age 55+, romantic getaway, families with teenagers, girls getaway, adventure seekers, sightseeing.
