A comfortable, fully furnished, mountain vacation home in the beautiful Sierra Mountains, our cabin is located in Arnold, CA, "The Heart of the Sierra Mountains Gold Country" and Calaveras County.
Our cabin is conveniently located between Angels Camp and Bear Valley Mountain Resort. Although nestled amongst the trees almost at the end of a cul-de-sac at a 4,000 ft. elevation, you are actually within 5 minutes of the area grocery store, shopping center, 3 local golf courses, 1 private country club, and 2 courses open to the public. You are also no further than 30 minutes to 1 hour of all the activities that the Central Sierras has to offer.
Lake Mont Pines Community is known to its local residents as a "Piece of Heaven" or the "Jewel of the Mother Lode." What sets Lake Mont Pines apart from the other subdivisions is the private recreation lake, which is within a short walk from the cabin. There is the large year-round lake, clubhouse, snack bar, and many summer activities.
2900 Pine Knoll Drive is a fully equipped, 2 level cabin with almost all the amenities of a full time home. There are 3 bedrooms, 2 full baths with beds to sleep 7 people. Our cabin is decorated with a mountainous touch and slight country feel. Each bedroom has cable TV and the family room has a 27" TV with a VCR/DVD combo unit. You will feel very relaxed sitting in the family room watching your favorite movies, playing games with family and friends, or just watching the snow fall while nestled near the free-standing, wood-burning fireplace (stacked wood is provided).
There is a nice open deck in the back for you to barbecue and dine outdoors, stargaze at night, or simply enjoy the sun and read a book. A long open driveway accommodates 4-5 cars if parked in tandem. NO smoking and NO Pets.
A perfect place for family gatherings or a quiet getaway.

Arnold Area Attractions
Winter months bring sledding, snowshoeing, cross country and down hill skiing at Bear Valley, snow tubing at Cottage Springs, and snowmobiling.
Spring and Summer months brings visits to Calaveras Big Trees State Park, Columbia State Park, Rail Town, Mercer Caverns, hunting, camping, hiking, biking, gold panning, and water sports including rafting or kayaking down the Stanislaus River, and jet skiing, boating, or fishing at Lake Alpine.
The Calaveras Wine region is made up of 18 local wineries, which produce a variety of award winning wines for your tasting pleasure. There are 5 golf courses within 45 minutes, great shopping in Murphy's and Angels Camp, tasty restaurants, art galleries, and so much more.

Good price for a nice and clean cabin, the kids loved the sheeps. Quick response for cabin reservation but we didn't hear nor see the cleaning deposit back a month after our stay even after we followed up by email, phone and mail !Did you find this review helpful? Yes | No Helpful votes: 0/0

We had a really good time staying at this vacation home. It was very hospitable and well kept. The price was very reasonable too. The security deposit was returned to us completely. I would do this again anyday. Thanks Randy for renting out this great place of yours.Recommended for: People with disabilities, families with teenagers, families with young children, sightseeing.

We chose to buy a vacation home in Arnold, more specifically Lake Mont Pines, because we loved that we could be here in 2.5 hours from the Bay Area while skipping the Tahoe traffic going the other direction.

Lake Mont Pines subdivision has one of the best private lakes with wonderful amenities to use during the summer months. The Winter months brings great skiing at Bear Valley Ski Resort, along with visiting local snow parks, cross country skiing, and snow mobiling. Not to mention the countless daily excursions including (but not limited to) Big Trees State Park, numerous Calaveras Wineries, Murphys, Columbia State Park, Mercer Caverns, Springfield Trout Farm (for some easy fishing), and Alpine Lake
