Search no more! You've arrived at the best accommodations on the best lake in Highland's county. Welcome to our home on Lake June in Winter, Lake Placid, Florida. From here you have long, unobstructed views of the entire lake. Beautiful 3600 acre Lake June has the highest water quality and white sand bottom.

This 3 bedroom 2 bath well maintained home sleeps 8-10. (Up to 10 depending on number of adults.) The spacious floor plan offers an open fully equiped kitchen/family room with t.v., dining area, entertainment/game room with t.v., laundry room and furnished screened in lake side deck. The master has a queen bed with on suite bathroom/shower, bedroom two has a bunk bed with twin on top and double on bottom. Bedroom three has twin bunk beds + twin trundle. One family room couch opens to a queen sleeper.

For those of you with children, not all lake houses are created equal. Some lakes and locations are not as suitable for younger children (or even adults) to enjoy the water in safety. This property has a white sand beach area with clean shallow water out to the end of the dock. The beach is perfect for building sand castles or just sunbathing. The large boat house provides an outdoor 'room' with two porch swings and ceiling fans. Perfect for relaxing with morning coffee or enjoying the beautiful sunsets.

While you're searching for your vacation get-away, be aware of the location of the house on the lake. Some homes advertised on VRBO are on canals, or less desirable areas of Lake June. We are on the north side of the lake (see map below), with a completely unobstructed view of the entire lake. It truly is about location, location, location....and we've got one of the best locations on the lake!

Whether you are a retired couple looking to relax for a month or more in the winter months, or a family looking for a super fun vacation get away at a great value, this is the place for you.

Located in Highlands County, 100 miles south of Orlando on US 27, 100 miles southeast of Tampa and 100 miles northwest of West Palm Beach. Lake Placid is 'in the center of everything while in the middle of nowhere.' Known as the 'Caladium Capital of the World', Lake Placid is a small town with friendly people in the middle of Florida, safe from crime and the fast pace of the typical Florida big city.

The town of Lake Placid is just 15 minutes away from Sebring, FL and about 2 hours or less from Orlando, Tampa, Ft Lauderdale, West Palm Beach, and Fort Myers. Plan a day trip to enjoy the magic of Walt Disney World or Busch Gardens.

                My family of 6 stayed at this house for a week. I have to say, this is one of the nicest rentals we have stayed in. The house is VERY clean, comfortable and so relaxing! The dock is beautiful, the water is clear and the beach is white. Just when we would think... Oh I forgot... you look and there it is, they have it for you all the way down to sun screen and board games for the kids. We would definiately go back for more memories.

                Our family had a wonderful long weekend get-away at this lake home. The location is so convenient; the home is warm, inviting, and comfortable. We thoroughly enjoyed the back porch and private beach and dock, fishing and swimming. We loved the lake and enjoyed riding a wave runner we rented locally and also watching the incredibly beautiful sunsets. The owners are accommodating and gracious, and we highly recommend this!

                I have rented many vacation homes in my time and hands down, this one is the best. It is so clean. I have never seen one this clean. I love the open floor plan. The game room is great and the back porch is the best. It has a great beach area, pier, and dock. I, my husband, and the grandchildren had a great time. I would love to stay there again. This home is a 5 star for sure. :-)

                Great location on Lake June. Owners are very accommodating and helpful and the property is as described. Home is clean and well maintained with ample sleeping arrangements. Would highly recommend.

                We loved this little getaway on Lake June. The house was super clean and had everything we needed. Perfect for our three kids who loved the bunk beds and game room. The hammock on the screened porch was my favorite spot. Next time we visit the lake, this is our place.

                This home was more than we expected. It couldn't have been any cleaner and was cozy and comfortable as described. Although it looked small from the outside, it was very spacious inside. Wide open views of the lake and very convenient to the public boat launch area. A great time was had by all.

              About the owner: We are a family of four and have been enjoying Lake June since 2003. We've made countless memories and entertained lots of friends and family here over the years. We hope you will, too.

              Why the Owner Chose Lake Placid:
              This home provided a perfect getaway for us on the weekends. Gorgeous views, clean lake, boating fun and relaxation. It turned out to be a great place to entertain our friends, too.

              The Unique Benefits at this House:
              My favorite spot is the hammock on the porch. I love looking out at the lake and am always guaranteed a visit from our local wild life. Heron, ospreys, sandhill cranes, egrets, ducks, seagulls, otters...I also love the gorgeous views from the swing on the boat house...the smell of orange blossoms in the air from the orange groves and of course fun family time on the boat.
