Simply the best alternative to a hotel! This self-contained suite has everything you would need to make your vacation a very pleasant one indeed! We loved the location, and being able to come and go as we pleased. This suite has got the lot...off-street parking, private garden, small covered deck with chairs, lounge, dining area, fully equipped kitchen (even a dishwasher!), lovely large bed with built-in wardrobes, separate shower-room/loo, and even a washing machine with additional dryer. The price for what we paid was superb value for money, and it was such a fantastic way to start our holiday in Vancouver/Whistler. We will definitley be staying here again on our next visit...it just does not get better than the Suite Sweet! (Blaine & Yasmin)

In this cosy little sweet suite we started our days with a breakfast prepared in the wonderful kitchen enjoying the morning sun shining through the window in the roof. Then we explored the beautiful nature and breathtaking wildlife such as bald eagles, seals, star fishes, racoons and many more in the Lighthouse Park, the suspension bridges and various trails around. It was also fun to go snow tubing at Whistler on a warm and sunny day. After a day full of adventure we loved returning to this sweet suite to prepare a nice dinner and enjoy the peaceful evening. Thank you very much for your hospitality. We had a great stay. All the best for you!

Super little place. Great value, great location, Terry was really helpful and provided treats that we did not expect like good coffee, milk, fruit and the best raisin bread. The place is squeeky clean and has a really comfortable feel. Will definitely use it agian if we are in the area.

Recommended for: Adventure seekers, age 55+.

We have just returned from spending 8 nights in this wonderful retreat. Pictures posted do not do justice to the level of cleanliness and attention to detail of this wonderful VRBO suite. The kitchen was so well equipped that I was able to prepare meals to take to our family with new 2 week old grandson. The view in to the private garden was lovely and we so enjoyed the wonderful weather on the deck. We most certainly will return for future family visits in West Vancouver. By being in Horseshoe Bay, one is in Greater Vancouver, minutes away from downtown Vancouver, while enjoying the feeling of a small community in the suburbs. Wonderful hosts, as mentioned in other reviews!

Recommended for: Adventure seekers, age 55+, tourists without a car, romantic getaway, sightseeing.

We very much appreciated our time here in your lovely suite. The accommodations are 5 star! Terry made us feel so welcome and our stay was truly sweet. The suggestion of a day trip to Bowen Island was perfect. Our family here joined us for the day, and the guys rented kayaks while the gals hiked there. We had them all (6) join us here for dinner and they were also very impressed with the suite. We hope to return one day.

After a wet and dreary start to our stay the weather warmed up considerably. We were very grateful for the shady garden retreat. We found the suite had everything we needed to make a perfectly comfortable stay. As we were already familiar with the area we did not explore too far afield but places we would recommend: Lighthouse Park along Marine Drive. If driving into downtown beware the $2-$3 per hour parking charges. We found 2 hour free parking in the Olympic Village and walked the 2 km to Granville Island - great views of downtown. If using the bus to downtown avoid Friday afternoon - the ferry and bus are very busy. Altogether we had a relaxing 10 days. Thank you for your lovely accommodation!

The suite was very comfortable and very well equipped. It was the perfect suite for our first stay in Vancouver. Especially the location - Horseshoe Bay is an amazing spot and the perfect starting point for your trips. Some of our highlights on our vacation in Vancouver were the down hill biking tour in the bike park of Whistler, the great hiking trails everywhere, our meeting with the grizzly bears on Grouse Mountain.... We hope we will have the chance to revisit Vancouver and stay at your suite once more.

Thank you for the wonderful accommodations. It was a real treat to enter through the gate into a private garden, then into such a delightful suite. I'm amazed that for a lower price than nearby hotels, one can enjoy access to a completely fitted kitchen, laundry facilities, a comfortable living room, and a lovely bedroom. Everything I needed was within easy reach, and thoughtfully designed. The bus ride up the hill and the walk down to the ferry terminal were both easy enough and pleasant in the lovely August weather. It's a very nice option for people who want to stay near the ferry, as I did, or for those who want to stay near the city, but not directly in it. I enjoyed staying in your beautiful space--I only wish I could have stayed longer! Another time perhaps. Thanks again,

As a single woman traveler, Suite, Sweet Suite was perfect for me. I walked down to the village of Horseshoe Bay every night for dinner and to take the Ferry to Bowen Island. Terry was very helpful in guiding me on my walks to nearby beaches and parks. I think my favorite was Stanley Park – lots of walking trails and beautiful landscapes. It's my first visit to Vancouver and what a beautiful place it is! I can't wait to come back. I really enjoyed this quaint little suite and it's location.

Dear Ms Terry....Thank You for making my first trip out of my country amazing. We went to Canada to escape the unbearable heat in Austin Texas in 2011. I really enjoyed the private garden, the tall beautiful trees, the spare mattress I could throw on the floor to sleep or watch TV. It was fun to play outside all day and walk all those trails in the parks and forests. Staying at your cottage was much better than any hotel and the little town was fun to visit. I also want to thank you very much for my Gecko earrings. My papa bought me a matching hat at the airport on our trip back home. I already told my papa that I want to move to Vancouver when I am an adult and we hope to go visit you again. My papa wants to say thank you for the hospitality and for helping us during our stay. From the first communication with Terry and Doug via Internet we knew we would enjoy our stay here. So clean and tidy - we came back again.Terry and Doug were so helpful and kind. Such lovely people who opened their home to us like old friends. The apartment was beautiful, modern and spacious. There is everything you need for a comfortable stay. Our stay in the Suite, Sweet Suite was a truly memorable one. From the extremely well appointed apartment with everything you could possibly wish for to the breathtaking views from the village of Horseshoe Bay. We are so glad that we did not stay in the city as we would have missed this wonderful experience. Everyone has been extremely helpful from the beautiful hosts Terry & Doug to the bus drivers who are always happy to give advice. Dinner at Ya Ya's is not to be missed. They have the most delicious molten chocolate pudding, quite sinful really. We are privileged to have had such a wonderful journey. PS - Thanks for the fantastic weather.

A very welcoming and homely apartment in a wonderful location giving easy access to local beaches, ferries to the islands and close to the main route to Whistler. The commute into Downtown Vancouver took me 25 minutes at peak time. Terry and her husband made us very welcome - it was more akin to visiting family than renting.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Suite, Sweet Suite. Everything was welcoming, from our host, to the front garden and the warmth of the atmosphere created by great décor. The suite was very spacious and allowed us to spread our wings after the cramped quarters of our boat cabin. Everything you could possibly want was at your fingertips. The washer and dryer were well used. We lapped up the quiet ambiance of Horseshoe Bay and when we reluctantly left after 3 nights, we were relaxed and refreshed. It was a truly memorable experience.

We had the opportunity to stay in this gorgeous apartment suite during our visit to the Olympics. The suite is very modern and in pristine condition with every amenity you could want--dishwasher, washer/dryer, coffeepot (complete with coffee and fresh cream considerately left by the hosts)--and more (think: flat screen TV in bedroom, garlic press and lemon reamer in kitchen!). The suite easily fits two but we were able to get four people in there by using an air mattress. The suite itself is quiet (we could hear no noise from the main house) and the neighborhood is quiet and peaceful. The suite is located just a short walk to a frequent bus line (both express and local buses) that takes you right downtown in 20-40 minutes (maybe even more quickly when there is no Olympic rush). Taxi is also an option. Finally, the surrounding scenery is gorgeous! Lush greenery, snow-capped mountains in the distance, horseshoe bay and a ferry service right down the hill. We would go back and stay in a heartbeat-- Highly recommended!

Very comfortable and tastefully furnished suite with modern decor and appliances. Private entrance through a lovely garden and patio. Very quiet with no audible noise from the street or the rest of the building. A big skylight and large windows kept the space nice and bright. Shockingly good selection of kitchen and small wares. Convenient to the bus and a short walk to the village, scenic bus ride into Vancouver.
