Comfortable, clean and beautifully decorated family, beach house in quiet residential neighborhood. The property is less than a two minute walk from the beach. Restaurant, lounge, and convenience store are all a minute away.
Bedroom one is equipped with a queen bed, Bedroom two also has a queen bed, and upstairs there is a large bedroom with two twins, double futon, and ocean view balcony. There is a queen sleeper in the recently furnished living room; modern appliances, and all the conveniences of home in the kitchen.
WE PROVIDE LINENS, feather or synthetic pillows to choose from; games for children, and a shade gazebo to take to the beach . We keep our Non-Smoking home immaculate for you to enjoy. Well-behaved pets are welcome.
Topsail Island is a low-key, family island with an exquisite beach. Visit the unique Sea Turtle Hospital, the museum which shows the military history of Operation Bumblebee and the petrified shark's teeth found all over the island, rent 4-seater bicycles, take a boat-tour and see where Dawson's Creek was filmed, catch the plentiful fish, canoe through the marshlands, and best of all, swim in the ocean and relax on the clean, uncrowded, white sand beach! Sunrises and sunsets are spectacular, as is the abundance and variety of birds.
North Shore Country Club's excellent golf course is open to the public and just off the north end of the island.
There is even an old time roller rink in Topsail Beach!
Visit historic Poplar Grove Plantation nearby, Tour Wilmington and the retired US Battleship North Carolina.

Why the Owner Chose Surf City
We love the Island. It is quiet, residential and simple. The beaches are magnificent and the ocean is very friendly most of the time. Water temperature is in the 80s in the summer and early fall, so you can float to your heart's content!

We had such a wonderful family vacation here! The house is so comfortable and very clean. It has everything you need. It was great being able to bring our dog, he loved the beach too. Another great feature is having all the linens you need without any extra charge. The beach was just a short walk away and was not crowded, even on a beautiful Sunday afternoon. We are hoping to spend a week again next summer! Thank you Merlin!

We have spent one full week at the Merlin's house. First of all, Merlin is a very accommodating owner who truly takes care of their customers. We could experience this the first hand throughout the entire process and stay. The vacation home is kept very clean and it comes with pretty much everything that any family will ever need. This home is very tastefully decorated and equipped so anyone can feel like being home. We also appreciate the welcome information letter that we received from Merlin which has guided us to visit and experience all the local attractions and to enjoy the local dinning. It felt sort of like having a personal tour guide during this great family vacation. We truly appreciate Merlin's hospitality and friendliness that we received from her. In addition, for those who are looking for a place for your pet, Merlin's house is one of the very few in this area that allows it which is a huge plus! Having our black lab with us during this vacation time has created many great memories and added a lot of happiness to our lives. We have been going to the Carolinas for the past 15 years and have to say that Merlin's place represents one of the best values for the money you could ever find in this area! Merlin, Thank you for having us over and creating for us unforgettable vacation memories!!!

We had the privilege of staying for several weeks at Merlin’s beach house and had a wonderful, relaxing, peaceful time. We felt completely at home, even our pets adapted instantly. The home is literally just steps to the beach and the sunrises and sunsets are absolutely breathtaking.... I've got a sack full of beautiful sea shells! I'm so sad to leave but I'll look forward to a future vacation right here at Merlin's beach house. I forgot to mention the great restaurants and the Island itself! Thanks Merlin for your hospitality!

This was our second stay at Merlin`s. This time we brought our dog, which was great. She adapted well. We so enjoyed sitting on the upstairs deck with coffee and reading and watching the sunrise. Loved the walks in the neighborhood and the beach was fantastic. Spent hours searching for sharks teeth and shells. Merlin`s home is very homey and comfortable. It truly feels like home. We definitely plan on returning. Having the wifi service is a plus too. Great having washer and dryer handy as well as all the other conveniences of home....Thanks, Merlin, for a wonderful beach house. Daddy Macs was one of our favorite places to eat. The park in Surf City by the swing bridge was really nice also.

Merlin, Thank you so much for the perfect place to stay for our vacation!! The house was great and we felt right at home! We loved going to the tip of the island and walking around it!! We let the dog off the leash and it was like we were the only people on earth!! I would recommend your house to anyone wanting a great place to stay at Topsail.
