A. DESCRIPTION
Deluxe is a tastefully renovated and professionally decorated large 1 bedroom, 1 bath apartment perfect for the discerning traveler. The apartment is on the main (middle) floor of a converted historic townhouse. It features abundant large windows and light, 9 foot high ceilings, granite countertops, a marble bath and hardwood floors throughout. It is a perfect space for entertaining with its large kitchen with center island, separate dining room, and large, strikingly furnished living room. There is seating on the front porch where you can enjoy a coffee/tea or cool drink in the afternoon and watch the people go by. You have direct access from the dining room to the back patio where table seating and is available to enjoy an alfresco meal, relax and read or catch up on email correspondence.
B. AMENITIES
You will find state-of-the-art electronics with flatscreen HDTV, full Comcast cable service, a Sony Blu-ray player, and WIFI. For your convenience you also have a kitchen with all the supplies you need to whip up a nice meal and a dishwasher to make clean-up fast and simple. You also have a washer/dryer just outside your doorway.
The price includes all utilities, cable, WIFI, linens, i.e. no hidden costs. Inquire about rates for longer stays and off-season.
C. TRANSORTATION
You won't need a car with the great access to public transit from this location, but if you do have one it is fairly easy to street park within a block. Also we will have a Zipcar “Wheels When You Want Them” rental car parked just outside the patio for your convenience. You can rent by the hour, for that trip to the grocery store, or by the day so you can venture out to see Monticello on Gettysburg. Sign up online.
D. LOCATION
DuPont Circle is a vibrant neighborhood and great location from which to experience Washington, DC. The neighborhood is filled with wonderful restaurants, shops, cafe's and grassy parks; plus the DuPont Circle Farmers Market is one of the largest in the city. You are just 2 blocks from the Redline Metro stop, and can walk to historic Georgetown, George Washington University, The World Bank, and IMF, Embassy Row, think tanks and museums among others points of interest.

This is my second year staying here, and I honestly don't think you can do better in DC. The location, on a beautiful residential street right in the heart of Dupont Circle, is just perfect. The apartment is truly lovely, and Kevin and Charlotte, the hosts, could not be more helpful.Recommended for: Tourists without a car, age 55+, girls getaway, sightseeing, families with young children, romantic getaway.

We had a wonderful time in DC and our time in the apartment really added to the experience. The location was perfect and the accommodations were very comfortable and relaxing. Everything we needed was already in the apartment or within an easy walk away. After staying at a hotel for the first two nights it was great to move into this lovely apartment. We just returned from a wonderful trip to Washington DC. Our stay at the Dupont Circle Deluxe apartment worked out perfectly. The apartment is perfectly located for hopping on the metro or walking to Georgetown for dinner (which we did a few times!). Charlotte has made this apartment very comfortable and we'd definitely stay again if our travels brought us back to DC.Recommended for: Tourists without a car, girls getaway, sightseeing, families with young children, romantic getaway.

Rex was a wonderful guest. Communication was brief, clear and always cordial. He was self-sufficient during the time he stayed in DuPont Deluxe and did not have any needs of us. Was wonderful apt in great neighborhood. Lots of light well appointed,kitchen had everything you need. Only issue was construction noise from upstairs. Was very noisy after 9a even on weekends. Was trying work at the apt. mornings . Was disruptive. Assume it was just my timing and usually the apt. is quiet. Would recommend without the construction.Recommended for: Tourists without a car, age 55+, romantic getaway.
Owner response: There are only 4 apartments in this renovated townhome. Our guest refers to the last of the apartments to be renovated. We worked only during the day, as the majority of our guests are seeing the sites or working outside the apartment during the day. Our renovation work occurred every day during this 10 say stretch as the work had to be completed during the period the occupant was on vacation. It is a great location and a beautiful apartment, we appreciate as always all the positives that our guest points out.
