We had a great time staying in this condo. It is very clean and updated nicely. We had a nice view of the sound and the sunsets were great. The beach access is just across the street. The unit is at the end of highway 12 by the ferry. There are a few shops right beside of the condo. Most restaraunts you drive to, but there are a couple that you can walk or bike to. We had great food at most of the restaraunts we ate at. It is a couple hours from Nags Head but it is worth the extra drive time. It is so laid back and relaxing in this area. The beaches are not crowded. We kayaked on the sound and then would cross the street and go over the dunes and swim in the ocean. It was wonderful. We did kayak about 20-30 minutes from the condo because we wanted in a marsh area. I would definitely reccommend this unit for anyone wanting to visit the outerbanks. There is enough room for a couple and 1-2 children. The bed is a king size and it is very comfy. We could not get netflix to work but that could have just been because of something we were doing wrong. I have never used it before. Overall it was the best trip me and my husband have taken. We have been to the Outerbanks before and stayed a couple times on the Gulf and we loved this area the most.Recommended for: Families with teenagers, sightseeing, romantic getaway, age 55+, families with young children, girls getaway, adventure seekers.
Owner response: Thanks for taking the time to write such a wonderful review. So glad you enjoyed! :-) Lisa

This is a BEAUTIFUL condo, granite counter tops, well done kitchen, comfortable king sized bed. Full bath. There are two TVs to keep sports going in one room and chick flicks in the other! The balcony is a great addition. View to the sound from the balcony at night features great sunsets. The pictures in the VRBO website do NOT do justice to this lovely condo. Laundry room with ice machine down the hall made everything really easy. We didn't use the kitchen a lot but it would be possible to cook most anything with what is furnished in terms of dishes and pots and pans. Our only problem was our allergies to mold and mildew. There was definitely both, probably b/c it was closed up. If we didn't have allergies we would have rated it excellent because it is much better than good. This is an amazing deal, comfortable to the max and located in a great place. The owner was terrific and VERY accommodating.Recommended for: Sightseeing, romantic getaway, girls getaway.
Owner response: We are glad you enjoyed your stay. We did have the carpets and beds cleanded in Feb...but has been closed up. We are heading down for a few months next week so will for sure open up and "air-out". Please come again for a visit...Lisa
