Our experience in Paris definitely was heighten by the place we stayed at. It's not a large space, don't be expecting that. But for the two of us it was perfectly fine. We enjoyed the fact that there was an elevator when we first arrived, so we didn't have to carry all our luggage up to the 3rd floor. Sylvain greeted us when we arrived showing us around. The apartment basically had everything, from all the plates and cutlery, dish washer, umbrellas, Paris guide books, and our most used appliance on the trip, the washing machine. The bed itself, while not too big was comfortable. One plus was the exposed ceiling beams which gave the apartment it's charm. If I had a complaint, I guess I can say the shower was a tad on the small side. Few times I would try to turn around, and knock over the shampoo bottle. While the TV offered some English channels, it was mostly news, so while we were in Paris we definitely caught up on Hurricane Sandy. Until I found out some channels allowed for the original track to be played. Location wise the apartment was in a really upbeat neighborhood. Lots of restaurants to choose from, lots of bakeries to choose from also, though there was only one bakery we go to for croissants on Rue Saint-Martin, I can't recall the name, but it's just 1 minute away from the apartment, Sylvain definitely will show you where. All in all, it was a wonderful stay at this apartment, I'm glad to have called it home for a week.Recommended for: Girls getaway, sightseeing, tourists without a car, adventure seekers, romantic getaway.

My daughter-in-law, two little grandchildren and myself (Grandma) were lucky to obtain this unit because of a cancellation on last minute notice. How lucky we were! Being a senior citizen I was afraid of being in a foreign country in a "bad neighborhood". Not at all! Building was secure, safe and very very nice. Friday and Saturday nights were loud with young folks partying on street downstairs BUT they were not inappropriate and they were just having fun. But you may want to bring ear plugs as construction did start early in morning. Dozens of restaurants, bakeries, cafes within a 5 minute walk! Metro two blocks. Water taxi's on the Seine were maybe a mile away......wonderful safe walk. We took the water taxi everywhere....Louvre, Notre Dame, Eiffel Tower. Sometimes just took it for a restful boat ride so the kids could rest. Owner Sylvain was more than accomodating! He personally showed us the neighborhood and gave us a "lay of the land". Even the fold out couch was very comfortable......I didn't know that was possible! Sylvain was a good ambassador for Paris..........kind and friendly. The owners were lovely. They met us at the agreed upon time, which was a vast improvement from our Berlin apartment experience. We received a tour of the neighborhood and some general advice on the area and getting around Paris. They recommended the Velib rental bicycles with 2 stands close to the apartment. Just a note sign up on line it will make your life easier. The apartment is small and there is some noise from the street, but it is in a wonderful location for convenient dining. Most notably the craft beer store down the street. The internet and TV worked flawless. Why we do not have Freebox in the US I do not know, but it is a complete Internet/TIvo/AppleTV sort of appliance. Great place to stay and a wonderful apartment. My only complaints the shower is a little tiny, I'm 6'6". I can get warm in August, bad planning on our part, with no air conditioning. There is a fan now so enjoy. We just returned from a 5-day, 4-night stay in Paris. This apartment was such a great find. It is in an excellent location and walkable to so many Parisian sites. It is also well equipped with all kitchen items, etc., and was very comfortable for two people. The elevator was a perk for getting luggage up and down when we arrived and left, but it was also nice to take the beautiful old stairs in the building. The only minor issue we had was a little noise from the street on New Years Eve, which wasn't really a problem but may have well disturbed a light sleeper. My fiance and I hope to come back to Paris soon, and would definitely consider renting this place again!Recommended for: Girls getaway, families with young children, sightseeing, age 55+, tourists without a car, adventure seekers, romantic getaway.

We really enjoyed our time in this studio apartment. It was centrally located, with metro stops nearby and major tourist attractions within walking distance. Restaurants, bakeries and a super-market all within a few meters of the apartment. Sylvain & Yoko were fantastic to deal with. They responded to emails promptly and provided our security return within 24hrs of departure. Sylvain took us on a tour of the neighbourhood and took the time to explain how all the amenities worked (satellite TV, internet, dishwasher and washer/dryer-which we really appreciated). The complex is very secure. This is a studio apartment, so it was a bit small for 3 adults, but all bedding was very comfortable. The one downside would be the amount of street noise (passers-by, garbage truck) that we could hear during the early hours of the morning, otherwise it was great stay. We would definitely stay again.Recommended for: Sightseeing, age 55+, tourists without a car, adventure seekers, romantic getaway.

I recently stayed at the apartment for 6 nights. I absolutely loved it! The apartment is very comfortable, everything is new as it has recently been renovated. The location is perfect, walking distance to many major attractions and very close to many good restaurants and bars. It is 5 mins walk from the Chatelet Les Halles metro and RER station. I was especially thankful for the very comfortable bed, after walking all day long in Paris. The owners, Sylvain and Yoko, are very friendly and helpful. Sylvain also has a very good sense of humor! I had a very pleasant experience dealing with him. I will be returning to Paris, and be staying at this apartment again, for sure!Recommended for: Girls getaway, families with young children, sightseeing, age 55+, families with teenagers, tourists without a car, adventure seekers, romantic getaway.

We had a lovely time at this newly-refurbished flat. Most mornings we would buy some delicious pastries from the patisserie just down the street and have a slow breakfast at the flat enjoying the sounds of the city coming to life. My husband would also go down to Petit Marcel for a couple of espressos (highly recommended). It's very central so it was easy to get around by foot or by metro. The Marais district is very lively (a little too lively perhaps on the weekend when the bars downstairs can get a bit loud but that's life in a city!). With a 3-year old, we were vicariously enjoying the late-night partying. I LOVE the large windows and the view of the attic rooms across the alley - very Parisian. Sylvain was very friendly and helpful. We highly recommend and would go back.Recommended for: Girls getaway, families with young children, sightseeing, tourists without a car, romantic getaway.

We stayed for 3 nights in October. It was a great location- close to many different metro & RER lines and within walking distance of many sights. The washer and dryer was great to have. It was the perfect size for my husband and me. Sylvain was there when we showed up and answered any questions we had. Our deposit was refunded promptly. It was updated and clean. We would definitely stay again.Recommended for: Girls getaway, families with young children, age 55+, families with teenagers, tourists without a car, romantic getaway.

We stayed in this property in August 2011 for a week, and it was a smart choice. Paris is a loud, vibrant city with plenty of things happening at all hours. The apartment was clean and newly renovated (April 2011). The stove was very efficient, and the bed was comfortable and firm. Sylvain was very nice, and prompt on request and refund. He showed us around the neighborhood on our arrival, which was greatly appreciated. The location of the apartment was perfect; most tourist attractions such as the Louvre, Notre Dame, Latin Quarter, Montmartre, etc. were within a 30 minute walk. There were two subway stations nearby, each less than a 5 minute walk away. There were also many bakeries, restaurants and small shops offering a wide variety of food. The nearby restaurant ‘Flunch ‘ (rue Beaubourg near the Pompidou Center) is definitely worth a try for good value all-you- can- eat buffet. Hema (118 rue Rambuteau) is a great shop for souvenir shopping.Recommended for: Sightseeing, tourists without a car, romantic getaway.
