From its gracious low country exterior to its pristine pool and landscaped site, our home is a luxurious vacation retreat for friends and family to share and enjoy. Located in beautiful North Forest Beach, a private residential community, this third house from the ocean is only 100 steps to the beautiful and uncrowded beach. The beaches of this neighborhood are among the most private on the island. A ten-minute walk along the beach or bike path will take you to Coligny Circle with its shops, fine and casual dining and markets.
Unique in design, this single-level home features a sunken living area and separate dining area. The dining area has vaulted ceilings and skylights and leads to the private pool. Enclosed off the dining area is the laundry room.
Separated from the other three bedrooms is the master bedroom with a king-size bed and private bath. The other three bedrooms are located on the opposite side of the house, one of which has a king-size bed with a full private bath. The other two bedrooms share a bath and each have two twins beds. Extras include a screened porch, multiple televisions, and a pool in a quiet and private yard, with heat available at an additional charge ($275/wk).
This beautifully landscaped property offers a fenced yard with large, heated (additional cost) pool, outdoor dining area, lounge area and grill. There is also a private shower off the pool area.
The electronics package includes high speed Internet access, cable, multiple televisions, XBOX and DVD/VHS players.
Parking is available for four cars.
Extras include, laundry area, multiple (4) televisions with full cable service, and a pool in a quiet and private yard, with heat available at an additional charge ($275/wk).

Why the Owner Chose Private Homes
We have been going to Hilton Head since 1984 and love the island. We grew up going to the Jersey Shore, but find so many more amenities on the island. Our house is in a very private residential area, so our beaches are never crowded. We are just a few steps from the beach.
The Unique Benefits at this Home
While a ranch house doesn't look very "beachy" on the outside (it does on the inside), it is very nice to not carry suitcases and groceries up several flights of steps. This makes it especially nice for seniors and parents with young children. Our yard is very private, and has a great mix of sun and shade at all parts of the day. It is sometimes hard to leave your nice chair around the pool and go to the beach (even thought it is very close).

Mary Jo and Wayne are native Philadelphians who moved to Dublin, Ohio in 1981. They have been married for 41 years and have 4 sons and wonderful daughter-in-laws who have given them 7 beautiful grandchildren. Wayne retired from the Naval Reserve with the rank of Commander after 22 years of service. Wayne works in the M & A business and is a licensed commercial real estate agent. He also teaches small business management at Franklin University. Mary Jo actively manages some of the grandchildren during the week and teaches religious education in the evenings.

The outdoor hot shower was a huge plus!! Love the layout of the house - easy with kids and the in-laws. Use Island Cruisers for bike rentals, they had the best price.
