This is a great place to stay. It felt like we were at home rather than a vacation place. It has everything you could want. Comfortable furniture, big screen TVs and a collection of movies, a computer, books, magazines, music, binoculars to watch the waves, a furnished kitchen, even a washer and dryer. It's clean and well maintained.

A Great Place for a Scrap Booking Weekend!

As dedicated scrap-bookers, we are always on the look for the best place to be able to enjoy a beautiful ocean view while working on our scrapbook pages. By the Bay was perfect!. We were able to set up a table right in front of the windows and enjoy the lovely ocean view while scrap-booking to our heart's content! The rooms were spacious and well-decorated with everything we needed in all areas of the house. We will be happy to be able to return as often as possible to repeat the positive experience we had there. (We loved the selection of CDs! They were just right for a couple of ladies in their 60s. The music from our era gave us a a very pleasant walk down memory lane.) We had a pleasant, productive and relaxing four days and hope to repeat the experience as soon as possible.

I had a great long weekend at "By the Bay" The house is lovely and feels very much like a home away from home. Visiting in the middle of December, the beautiful view of the ocean from the front room allowed me to enjoy the ocean without having the brave the cold. And with all of the DVDs and the TVs, everyone was able to pick their own entertainment. I came down to get away and relax before the last holiday week and took a quick 3 day trip. With shopping and sightseeing available just around the corner, and a trip to the Outlet Mall on Saturday, I had just the recharging weekend I needed. Thanks for the great weekend!

We stayed at "By the Bay" for 3 nights and enjoyed it to the fullest. It is a very beautiful place to stay at with a good rate. The home was clean and tidy with all the amenities like at home and even more. The view from the deck, kitchen & living area is wonderful and you can hear the waves crashing in the distance. Walt & Vicki were very helpful as they left us a nice letter with some great tips for nearby sights and things to do. We had the most wonderful two weeks in your rental. Very clean and comfortable, everything you need for a relaxing getaway. Walt was so helpful and so nice. My husband and I had the most relaxing and fabulous time at this vacation home. The beautiful ocean views and cosyness of the house really made us not want to leave after spending our time there, although we chose to stay there during the winter season, this did not bother us, it was still very enjoyable to be there. Walt & Vicky, Thank you for allowing Doug and I to spend the most wonderful week at your place in Depot Bay. From the moment we walked in we knew we had made the correct decision by picking By The Bay to rent. Your location in perfect for branching out, and allowed us to have a consistent place to lay our heads at night, while still being able to go out each day and see the surrounding areas. From whale watching to tide pool gazing to walking the beaches--there wasn't anything we couldn't do. And as was obvious by our constantly extending our time at By The Bay, we really didn't want to come home. Plans are to return next year and bring our family to enjoy the area as well. This was the best town house I've stayed at. It had all the comforts of home but with a great view. All the little extras it really made the difference, from binoculars to the movies and video games and cd selection, and kitchen all the extras you never thought to bring. I really look foward to staying here again and again!!!!!!!!

We wanted to visit the Oregon coast and just relax and take it easy . The house is and older remodel and they did a very good job . They provide a nice clean place with easy access to a very nice area to vacation in. The house had dishes and towels and books TV,s and just about anything you might need. The windows and the view were great,they had a large scope to watch the sea and rocks accross the road from the house.Next time my wife wants to rent it for a whole week,not just four days Don

What a great vacation. This was our first trip to Depoe Bay. The house was in an excellent location for adventuring out through Lincoln city and Newport. I am glad we chose to stay in Depoe Bay because it is much nicer than the other locations. This house was wonderful to sit and watch for whales in the morning. A little noise from the street and restaurant next door on the weekend but not enough to deter us from coming again. The house is very well insulated so do not fear the location on the highway. Very conscientous owners and very kind.

I rented By the Bay to celebrate my mom's 50th birthday. The place was great. It was clean and had more amenities than we had anticipated. Not only was it the best birthday my mom has had, it may now become an annual family trip. We fell in love with By the Bay and hope to come back many more times.

What a wonderful weekend. The weather was absolutley beautiful but more then that we felt so comfortable in this little heaven away from home. Can not say much for the weather this week but the condo was great. Soooo much room and you could not ask for more in amenities - except maybe a flat cake pan. Otherwise you will not find much you will need. The restaurant next door on the weekend had music until 2AM but that is not Walt and Vicki'e fault. I would highly recommend this condo to anyone that wanted a nice clean and well kept condo/townhouse. We had a great time - movies/ Tv /computer anything you might want. A true gem on the coastline. A fully stocked three bedroom dwelling with an excellent movie selection. DVD and VCRs on site. Roomy kitchen with a washer and dryer. A very comfortable place to stay on the coast for an unbeatable price! Easy walk to Depoe Bay shops and right across from Tidal Raves. Thanks again for the opportunity to stay here!

Mother's Day. There, in the bottom of the chowder bowl, her image enhanced by the Tabasco rouge, the image of the Blessed Virgin Mary! Wait 'til the Oregonian gets word of this! Nah. The waitress says it's just the Sea Hag. Mama Wing Wa will be happy christianity hasn't invaded her property! The What-Not-Shop, right here in town, is the best junk shop on the coast, bar none. Great property, good food nearr-by, the best collector stuff too. Thanks for the hospitality.

We were delighted with the accommodations. Considering there was three adults and two young children, By the Bay afforded us not only the luxury of having a reasonably placed accommodation, but also the room to not feel cramped! With three bedrooms and room for the kids to play it felt like home! Thank you for allowing us the opportunity to experience a warm and welcoming environment! Our favorite place to eat ended up being Dory Cove on the end of Lincoln City. We weren't too impressed with the Whale Cove. Pier 101 was also good, but more expensive! We will definately be back!

We are beginning to feel like this is our home away from home and it's worked out best for myself and my mom to have a well-deserved girl's time out! This home is always warm, cozy and has all of the comforts we need! We love cooking in their well-stocked kitchen. Having the computer is great so I can still do some work while also using it to research new places in the area to explore. We love the view and close proximity to Lincoln City and Newport. This vacation rental is spectacular. We had a rough start in getting here, but when we finally arrived it was so nice clean and inviting. The view is not right on the ocean, but you are able to stand back and take in the beauty. It was so wonderful. I can't say enough about this rental. I loved it.

I just wanted to drop you a quick note to let you know how much my friend and I enjoyed last weekend at your rental. The place is great!! All the personal touches are wonderful...it felt like home. I forgot to sign the guest book when I left, so I just wanted you to know how great everything was. I told my husband that he and I have to come over for a weekend sometime soon and stay again. I took a couple of brochures. I have already had a couple people at work ask about the place when I was telling them how nice and neat everything is there. My experiences with vacation rentals have not been good ones. Your place and the entire experience (from the first phone call) have been nothing but good. Thank you so much. We learned about "By The Bay" in a local coupon book.It took us a while to catch someone let us look inside. When we saw it, we couldn't believe it. When Mike finally got inside to look around, he said "this is where we are staying from now on".
