In winter, the warm and cozy cottage will welcome you after a long day of skiing or snowshoeing, or you can continue your fun by building a snowman in the front yard. Take a short walk down the road, past the llama farm, and around the bend to historic homes that date back to pre-Revolutionary War days, and into the Village of South Egremont, where you can pick up the newspaper and a quart of milk at the old country store, enjoy homemade pancakes and eggs at Mom’s country café, or dine on delicious local cuisine at the Old Mill. Whether you have a passion for nature, cultural arts, or history, this is the perfect place to stay year round.

With bountiful farms and orchards throughout the area, you can pick blueberries in the summer and apples in the Fall, and farmer's markets where you can get local organic produce during the harvest season. And right in our backyard, you may even catch a glimpse of wild turkeys marching across the lawn, or a deer ducking into the forest.

About the owner: Having grown up in NYC, we loved getting out of the city and enjoying the peacefulness and simplicity 'the country.' This cottage captures all the magic of our childhood memories. Since we live in Miami now we don't come up to the Berkshires often enough. We are happy to be able to share our 'Country Cottage' with others who appreciate the healing power of temporarily disconnecting from the intensity of city life and relaxing in the beautiful Berkshires.
